I like Randle, but by next month, he may well be going in the 3rd/4th rounds

Good news. While I'm glad we moved on from that whole "give everyone a contract" phase that we had a few years ago, we shouldn't journey into Patriots territory and treat every player as if he's replaceable either. Dez needs to be retained without question. He has a good 5 elite years left him and will live up to whatever insane contract we give him. Franchise QB, an elite WR, O-Line and Pass Rushers need to be our contractual priorities.
We'll be alright, Hardy wasn't on the team last year so he shouldn't be missed at all. McClain got signed to make up for the preseason loss of Lee. Unless we get several more ssuspensions we won't miss a lick.
At least we're not the Eagles. Always a huge plus. Cheers!Dallas always trying to find a way to cheat the salary cap.
This study is based on revenue. Even for something as subjective as 'best' fans that is a strange metric to use.
The whole superagent concept needs to be re-analyzed.
Slow week in the news, no evidence, non-story.

What would you use as criteria? I think its a better metric than somebody who says they are a fan of team X and never spend a dollar toward that team (put your money where your mouth is, so to speak). All teams for most part sellout capacity so that doesn't seem like a valid metric. For the record I'm not hanging my hat on this study, means nothing.moondog said:This study is based on revenue. It sounds like the study is basically taking dollar spent per capita for the size of the metropolitan area they are in. Dallas has the biggest stadium so they can generate the most revenue per game (other teams could sell as many tickets as the Cowboys do but are limited by the size of their stadium). This study also doesn't factor in how much of the revenue being generated is from opposing teams fans buying tickets. In Jerryworld, this is significant since there are so many seats available. It is evident that this is happening by the amount of fans cheering for the opposing team in the last several years. Using dollars generated as one metric for determining the best fans is one thing. Using it as the sole basis for which team has the best fans is crazy. Maybe if you were trying to determine who had the best owner for making money. What would you use as criteria? Personally, I rely on the "eyeball" metric which basically goes something like "wherever I go, what teams do I see represented most by PEOPLE, talking about their team, wearing the team colors, etc. In my opinion, it is probably the Pittsburgh Steelers. In my travels across the United States and Europe, the only US sports teams I have ever seen more represented are the Chicago Bulls and the Kentucky Wildcats College Basketball team. What would you use as criteria? I agree re Pittsburgh. Packers fans and Giants fans too. You do some realization that there's zillions of people in NYC and you saw jerseys all day on a Sunday and it'll hit ya. The thing I find fascinating about these three fan bases is they are the only ones that have elderly men active on message boards. It's nowhere near as many as back in the newsgroup days, but it is still great to read some 75 year old man discuss the Pack when he was younger.Personally, I rely on the "eyeball" metric which basically goes something like "wherever I go, what teams do I see represented most by PEOPLE, talking about their team, wearing the team colors, etc. In my opinion, it is probably the Pittsburgh Steelers. Right, the Jets before the Packers, what a crock.
Jets fans > Packers fans is fairly obvious isn't it?Right, the Jets before the Packers, what a crock.
No. They have plenty of space left, $11.5 Million with Dez' tag money already figured inI wonder if Hardy's reduced suspension somehow affected Dallas' ability to sign Dez. Less cap space maybe?

Over the last 2 seasons the Cowboys have played only 65 snaps on offense without BOTH DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant.
woah70M - 45M guaranteed.Dez!!! 5 yr deal is done!
What a great deal for the Cowboys. Only 14 mil a year.70M - 45M guaranteed.Dez!!! 5 yr deal is done!
No, it wasn't a great deal, it wasn't a bad deal, it was about what both sides came to expect and exactly the same as D.Thomas. Neither side got bent over when it came to crunch time imo. What a great deal for the Cowboys. Only 14 mil a year.70M - 45M guaranteed.Dez!!! 5 yr deal is done!

picked who? cj? you would think its good news, however I don't think CJ1k has much left.Picked him up off waivers in my dynasty league two days ago. This is just my luck.
I'm not sure he needs to have much left behind that line. He played well last season. Doesn't hurt to bring him in and kick the tires.picked who? cj? you would think its good news, however I don't think CJ1k has much left.Picked him up off waivers in my dynasty league two days ago. I could see the suspension being overturned by the courts or the NFL settling to reduce it to two games. Either way, Brady would play against the Cowboys week 5.Chances Brady is on the field week 5 against the Cowboys?
