Looks like Jordy Nelson might be the most overvalued player in dynasty right now. And he isn't 29, he is 30. 30 when the season starts, so he is 30. No idea how it can be looked at any other way. What, does his value go down on his 30th birthday, meaning you value him more right now?? i sure hope not. That's just silly.

Cooks, based on his ADP, can probably be traded for a top 3 pick.

Pick 1 can pretty easily be traded for a couple fairly early 1sts in most leagues, say picks 4 and 5.

Either can be traded straight up for a really good and valuable player.

I can't fathom even considering trading both for Nelson. Not when I know I can get a better/younger/more valuable player than Nelson for the same package.

Looks some some are commanding 2012 Calvin type stud package for him.

I think most full PPR leagues you can get a top 5. Based on DLF ADP he's worth 1.2 but that will change once rookies get teams. He's worth a lot no matter how you phrase it.

I think a lot of his perceived value right now is that he's Brees's "only" target. He's a promising rookie besides that, but that's why people are willing to give up top 3 rookie picks for him imo.

Nelson is awesome. I am trying to trade for him in every league where I do not own him. However, I am willing to give HALF, or even less, than the sum of Cooks/pick 1.

I have a guy who would deal him to me for two 2016 1sts (one of which is 100% guaranteed to be pretty high). That is a HECK of a lot less than pick 1 and Cooks, and even that I am apprehensive about cause those picks value will dwarf nelson's value at this time next year, even is he scores 300 again

Sure. Brees looks to be starting his decline, the Saints are going through what could turn into a huge upheaval, Cooks will be facing a lot more defensive pressure without Graham, the Saints' run game might become more featured, etc etc. A bunch of the 2014 rookies shined more than him anyway, so I'd expect he wouldn't go 1.03 or 1.05 if people could re-do the draft now, right? I still think he'll be decent to good, especially in full PPR, I'm just not as high on him as some of you other guys are. I think a lot of his perceived value is based on his situation, and I'm not sure it's actually as good a situation as "Brees' main WR" looks like. But we'll see, I could be too low on him. I'd still super easily deal Jordy for him and the 1.01, but I'd look to sell on Cooks before New Orleans brings in another WR and dampens Cooks' perceived value a little.

Cheap for Lacy. Give me the 24 year old, three down RB on a fantastic offense, all day. He's easily my number 2 dynasty RB and I don't think the gap between him and Bell is as huge as the difference between what it costs to buy each one.

he was traded early last season in a league im in, while he was slow to produce for the (what ended up being) 1.04 straight up. I thought it was a steal for the lacy side, the guy trading for lacy projected himself to finish mid pack, 6-9 range. I still dont think its an overpay

That's where we disagree. I'd gladly give up cooks for Nelson unless I'm rebuilding.wouldn't give 1.01 for him.

I also wouldn't give pick 3 for cooks. He did fairly well when he played but not enough to raise his value to a top 3 pick. maybe in a league that severely devalues rb - as you could argue for him over white, but not in most leagues.

Eta: I guess it depends where he went last year. In one of my leagues he was pick 3 so he's probably still worth that. In another he was pick 7 (32 teams with up to 4 rb starting) and he isn't worth it there.

Smart move getting rid of Worrilow while his value is high. He is one of those LB's, that Altanta would love to replace but nothing has gone right. One of the worst pFF scores from a year ago. Guy is a liability.

As is frequently the case in IDP, a liability they can't replace is exactly what you want. They will keep running at him, he'll keep making a ton of tackles 6 yards down the field, and you'll keep racking up fantasy points. Miles Burris is another great example.

Exactly. This was very much a short term move. He should be a good ff lb while not being a good nfl lb. Long term he won't have a job without improving but for 2015 I think he'll do well.

FWIW, followed this up by sending a 6th (pick 91) and Worrilow for EJ Manuel and Ez Ansah. My DEs last year were Ware and Mario; with the possibility of them moving to OLB a new DE was needed, plus they're getting old. LBs generally outscore DEs by a lot in this format.

I actually did this a while back. I was able to get Cooks at a reasonable price (got Cooks/2.04 for Jeremy Hill). I was then able to turn the 2nd in Jarvis Landry and Cooks/2016 2nd into Calvin. I also flipped Landry into Gio.

So in the end, I got Calvin Johnson and Gio Bernard for Jeremy Hill and a future 2nd (of a very good team) because of that good deal for Cooks.

Nope, scoring is standard 1PPR across the board. He was originally wanting a deal revolving around Rodgers/+ for Dez/+, but then I threw this out there and I accepted his first counter offer. I tried going after Julio/Bradford yesterday with Gronk/Kaepernick/Marshall but the owner wouldn't budge, so I'm happy he didn't take the value there! Only changes to my lineup are going from Stafford/Gronk to Rodgers/Graham, and I prefer the stability Rodgers provides in this format.I hadn't shopped Kaepernick around at all, but Id imagine his value is down quite a bit. I don't think more than 1-2 owners had sent offers for him this off-season. This particular owner has seemed to always be higher on Kaep than the rest of the league though. He used to make an offer for him once every month or two throughout the season and off-season

Any idea where the 2016 1st projects?

Only way I think about dealing Bell for this is if I pretty much knew for a fact that 2016 1st belonged to a terrible team.

Lot more uncertainty about whether Hill can keep up or improve on his production next year, though. I'd have to think for a while before accepting if I was the Bell owner. I do like Hill, though, and expect Bell won't be quite so dominant next year, so I'd probably eventually lean towards accepting.
