A few FFPC deals here recently

Mike Evans

Philip Rivers

pick 18

for

Pick 5

Pick 8

Isaiah Crowell

Cordarelle Patterson

Jason Witten

for

Crabtree

Sproles

Brees

for

Pick 10

Stills
Don't see any of these as lopsided.

I'd take Evans side.

I'd take Crabtree side in hopes a chance of scenery gets him going and you can at least hit a triple or homerun if it does. I suspect he's like Nicks and injuries have sapped him but at least there is a chance. Witten has big name value, but his game is now basically Heath Miller.

I'd take pick 10 and Stills unless my team was just really QB needy.

10 Team Non PPR Superflex

K Allen

For

D Freeman

J Rodgers

36th overall
I'm not very high no Allen but think that's a steal. I guess whoever traded for the ATL backs thinks he's sewn up the backfield which is a horrible jump to conclusion before a robust RB FA and NFL draft.

I can see taking Brees but I just would not move a 1st for him at this point. I would go cheaper for a Brady,Rivers or Ben type
When you have to cut down to 14 QB/RB/WR/TE each offseason, that 10th pick loses some appeal. It's not uncommon for late 1st round picks to end up on waivers at some point in the first year or so.

If you have no good QB and have a good team, giving up the 10th pick for a sure top 5 QB for a few years is a pretty decent price to pay IMO, especially when it greatly increases your title chances. Not many people are winning a title with a mediocre QB. It happens, but rather increase those odds by a lot having a top end QB.

Wait, so now people are competing to rebuild, and will pis away CALVIN JOHNSON to get it done?? You just made the league sound less competitive than I originally thought, yeesh.
Your reading comprehension and interpretation skills aren't very good, so I won't bother to address this any further.

Carry on with the "expert" analysis that you litter this thread with.
Ok, great trade. And your explanation of why it wasn't absolutely atrocious was enlightening.

On the earlier one I will take

Evans side

Witten- crabtree blows IMO no matter where he lands, rather take a year or 2 of 1.5 PPR from Witten

Brees side EASILY if I need a QB and am competing. One of the easier trades to make assuming those two things. That's a nice deal for both teams since the guy dealing Brees has Luck.
There are lots of TEs that will get you Witten's 4 for 40. Crab has yet to play with a good passer

Witten was the 6th TE last year even with then running a ton. He is steady eddy. I can see 2 more years over 200 points which is pretty valuable at TE in the FFPC. In 1.5 PPR his little 5 yarders add up.

I am horribly low on Crabbs also.

Just off memory he had like 50-60 for 700 5 TDs and lows in almost every category since his age 21 rookie season. Like the earlier poster said he's Heath. Give me ANYONE with upside for that and I'm taking it. I also like sproles as a bye week fill in

That makes sense. Forgot you guys cut to shallow rosters. Most of my leagues are 25-26 roster spots with only 3 or 4 round rookie drafts so the 1.10 is much more valuable in my leagues

I am all about upside also. I guess I just dont see much in crabs.

And all these "lows" have at least a LITTLE something to do with Murray and his 500 touches.

BUt still. 6th is 6th is 6th, and for what you say was a down year, to me that sounds like upside. Not 350 point upside, but upside.

Absolutely. There is quite a bit more value in being able to stash a guy for a couple years.

In FFPC leagues I'm seeing Witten as TE11 after week 16 in both average points per game and total points with 185. If you want to use week 17 that pushed him to TE9 and a shade under 200 points.

I also thought he was showing signs of decline the previous season but got a major stat boost in week 17 when noodle armed Orton fed him, but he went into week 17 last year with just 61 catches. He was still a good fantasy player that year due to a high TD total, by his standards anyway.

On that note oddly enough you would think he and Romo have this magical connection but his best game in 2013 came the one week Orton started and his 4th most yardage in a game last season was the game Romo missed.

Looking at it now, man, the FFPC is sure making it hard to find something simple like last year's scoring ranks. It is showing 2015 projections maybe???

Yeah he had 64 for 703 and 5 TDs. For about 195 or so.

I clicked on 2014 and all it shows is those 2015 rankings, and no stats.

Maybe it added the playoffs or something, which would be stupid.

And again as far as his targets, Murray had a ton of touches which wont be duplicated. And this is too much talk about Witten anyway. Crabtree is a bum

I'm in a private league hosted my MFL that uses FFPC scoring. I always use that to track players because I can't figure it out as easy on the FFPC, even before they made the website host changes.

When you said he was 6th I was just suprised, just did not seem like it so you made me look it up. To be honest ranked better than I thought, just not 6th.

Very mixed feelings about this traded I just did, 12 team PPR dynasty league.

Gave: Josh Gordon

Got: Moncrief & 2.10

Obviously if Gordon gets in trouble again I'll be so glad I did this trade. But as dumb as he's been, out of Cleveland, a year older and hopefully wiser, I may regret this one. Thoughts shark pool??

I own Gordon in a few leagues and really not actively shopping him because I just don't think I'd get what I want back. But if someone offered me Moncrief and 2.10 I'd accept it with no reservations so I think you did really well.

I'm all about upside but it's not as if Moncrief is lacking in that department.

Gordon has been going WAYY cheaper all over the place. Looks like Moncrief for free based on other deals.

I would prefer the Moncrief side at this point

Well the changes stink now.

Still, 11th and right at 200 points in a year they ran a ton more than usual. I'll take 2 more years of that over Crabs. Did I mention I dont care for Crabs at all?

Good by me.

2 pieces that won't have an big red (S) beside their name all year will look good on your roster

Apparently you watched Crabtree play a couple times over the past 2 years...shouldn't have done that. It will give you allergies to the guy.

Another 10 team Superflex league - NO PPR

Graham

M Wallace

R Cobb

E Ebron

J Freeman

This owner I feel is trying to corner the market on Ebron in all the leagues I am in with him(owned Graham in 4 of 5)

Pretty even. I would probably take Cobb and Ebron at this point
Agreed. I just don't see Graham as the same player he used to be. And at his age the decline could move quickly.
Like Gonzo and Gates?

Yeah people have been saying that about witten and gates for years and they have 5 years on jimmy.I think projecting his decline is a bit premature

12 team FFPC, a couple deals

pick 1

for

pick 6

2016 1st (middle of road team, really a pick anywhere from 1-10)

pick 6

pick 20

for

Forte

(so the guy basically dealt pick 1 and a 2nd for Forte and a future 1st). I like it for him, he is set up to win now

I don't like it. Especially the first trade. If a guy like Gordon or Gurley end in a place like Dallas or a sweet landing spot the value of that pick is going to go through the roof.

My other reason is RB pass happy Trestman is gone and while Forte is in the conversation for best pass catching RB in the NFL in his previous 6 seasons before Trestman he averaged about half of what he caught last season. Personally I think it's a bit optimistic, considering his age and usage to think he can be as good as he was before Trestman arrived but if he is that good, that's a solid 16.5 fantasy points a game and 250 fantasy points on the year. That's good and could be a difference maker on a season but considering his age and strength of this draft I'd rather hold the 6 and 20. But between the two deals I absolutely like the second part of what he did more than what he did in the first trade.

Not nearly enough to get me off the #1.

I don't mind this one by itself, but the aggregate value isn't very attractive to me.

He only made the first deal because he knew he would make the second deal. It was essentially a 3 way.

I can certainly see the appeal of a couple good years from Forte, even with the inevitable regression, while picking up what could very easily be a very high 2016 1st (though to play it say just calling it a mid 1st)

Yeah I think he lost all around there.

I understand not wanting to take the risk on a rookie RB but then to overpay (imo) for Forte on top of it. I mean you net Forte/20161st from 1.01 and pick 20(2.08?) Seems like poor value for the top pick to me and so many months before he needs to do anything. Isn't like Forte's value is going way up before Sept.

Depends how much you value the #1 this year I guess. I think the two RBs are slightly overvalued.

The more I look at it actually, I am pretty sure that 2016 1st will be NON playoff

Superflex PPR league

Gave: 1.06 and Duron Carter

Got: Gio Bernard and Mike Wallace (I already owned Jeremy Hill and my WR3 was Josh Gordon/John Brown).
