**Official 2015 Off-Season Dynasty Completed Trades Thread** (1 Viewer)

QQRRWWWW 10 team

1.1, 2.3, and Maclin

For

OBJ and 4.10
OBJ hype is through the roof. No way I give that for a guy who could have reached his ceiling.
No way I even consider trading OBJ for that. He's worth much much more.
Agreed. And what the hell does "could have reached his ceiling" even mean??

For one, it's a pretty damn nice ceiling. And two, he was a rookie who even missed time early.

Sure, he COULD have reached his ceiling, but so COULD every other player in the league. The #1 pick COULD be a giant bust.

12 team,1PPR, start 2-3 RB, 3-4 WR

Team A gave:

CJ Anderson

Kenny Stills

Reggie Bush

Team B gave:

2015 1.1 rookie pick
Does Bush have any value? Stills could be ok I guess, maybe but I dont care for him much.

Pick 1 here. Kinda have to take the talent of Gurley and hope for the best

Start 1 QB, 6pts all TDs.

A: Philip Rivers, 2016 2nd, 2017 2nd

B: Derek Carr

Both teams are strong; side getting Carr was runner up last year, has Matt Ryan and Geno Smith at QB. Team getting Rivers finished 4th last year and has Cam and trash at QB. 2nd's project to be late.

Turned into 3 way Deal:

Team 1 Traded Gronk $6, Crabtree 5$, T-Rich $14, Zeurlein $1 to Team 2 for Graham $16, Hopkins $20, Davante Adams $1 Dwayne Allen $1

Then Team 1 Traded Hopkins $20, Spiller $20, Michael Floyd $15 for AJ green $17, Charles Sims $20, and Foles $10

Ultimately Team 1 traded Spiller, Floyd, Gronk, T-Rich , Crabtree, and Zuerlein...got Graham, AJ green, Adams, Sims, Allen and Foles

E.Sanders and Edelman

For

1.1
please tell me this is a joke
While I'd certainly take the 1.01 this is probably one of those situations where everyone lets perceived value (v. actual production) cloud their judgment. Both of those WRs, while not sexy in the dynasty community, are highly productive ppr players and it's very possible each one will have a higher career VBD (even just looking forward) than the pick.

With that said, someone that has the 1.01 has to do better if they are going to move it.

Agreed

16tm TE Prem 1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 2OFLX 1DL 2LB 1DB 1DFLX

30 man rosters w/ 3 TS

Gave: Landry, Mid-Late 2016 1st, Late 2016 1st

Got: 1.06, Top 3 proj 2016 1st, Mid-Late 2016 2nd

Not sure how I feel about this move... Have a win now team but am lacking in the RB dept, Landry was my WR4. He was the #2 scorer behind OBJ last year in this scoring format.

12 Team PPR

Team A gets: Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis

Team B gets: Carlos Hyde, 1.03, 2016 2nd (more than likely an early pick)
I've offered up Charles/2016 1st for 1.3 alone and was rejected. That's a steal for Team B, IMO.
charles easy and its not close for me. some over value picks so much.
Couldn't disagree more in Dynasty.

Charles is a commodity losing value. Hyde or the 1.3 player could easily be worth more by themselves next year. One thing for sure is Charles will be worth less this time next year.
as will hyde when everyone else realizes he's not that good.

Non-PPR, start 2RB, 3WR, one flex. Not involved.

Stedman Bailey

for

Ray Rice

Vick Ballard
In a non ppr this trade basically amounts to "one guy Team A needs to drop for two guys Team B needs to drop".
Shallow rosters if bailey is dropped with up to 4 receivers starting. Although, yeah he loses a lot of value in non ppr
I like Bailey, but think his value is only really relevant in a ppr league.

Still plenty of time to trade Hyde before the season starts if you don't believe in him.

This

Value very much in favor of the Hyde/pick 3 side. Whether you like Hyde or pick 3 is irrelevant. When you get an offer with that much extra value, you take it.

Look to move Hyder and/or the pick if you want. That guy obviously REALLy wanted CHarles

Why in the world would you do that. Luck is a dynasty dream. plug and play him for next 10 years and never have to worry about the QB position.
Because (depending on the league parameters), QBs don't win you leagues.

I can understand the move to retain top 10 QB points from Brees (IMO anyway) for a few more years and add a top 10 WR in Cobb for several years.

I am not sure which side I like. Might depend on my team (and obviously the league rules/rosters/scoring.....), but I can understand why people would make the move.

I guess so, maybe i over-value a guy like Luck but it's nice to not have to invest in the QB position for the next 10 years. I've seen teams have to waste tons of picks and make a lot of trades trying to do the QB shuffle. there is a lot to be said for not having to worry about the QB position.

I've been playing dynasty for about a dozen years and have won a ton of championships...very few times have those teams been built around an elite QB. That doesn't mean it can't be done, but I've always been one to trade away a top QB when I see good value (like I feel I got in this trade). Not saying that either way is right or wrong, but it's the method that works for me.

Plus, it's not like the downgrade to Brees is crazy. Sure, I'll have to replace him in the next few years, but that gives me plenty of time to cultivate someone to take his place. I also don't have a problem with giving up a 3rd round pick for the Tony Romo's of the world every year or two, giving me top 8 production or so for super cheap.

I should also add that this was the product of a start-up draft that I hated. I decided for the first time ever to try to go with an early QB, just to see how I liked it. I hated my team afterwards and this was part of the move to get my team back to what I want it to be.

I would hate my startup too if I took Pierce. Cobb and Brees for me though

I think in a lot of cases I would rather struggle to find a QB than try and win with a revolving door of waiver wire players for my 3rd WR spot or something.

Again though, and I don't know how many times it can be said, can't really evaluate without knowing league details. If you start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 flex that is quite a bit different than a 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE and 2 flex. Especially for a trade involving Luck.

But to your point of wasting picks and making trades looking for a QB, same can be said about every other position as well.

I like it for you. More if OFLX means up to 3QB's

What scoring format is Landry the #2 scoring WR?

Brees/Cobb for me

I think people are trying to cash in on Hill's ADP in case Bernard makes more of an impact this year. With Bernard not going anywhere for at least two years I feel it limits Hill's upside, can still put up RB1 numbers though.
