I think I'd happily give up Bortles and 3.06 just to have my pick of the top 3, though. I personally like Cooper a good bit more than White and both a good bit more than Gurley/Gordon, so I understand the trade if you're indifferent between the three. But I do think op could've gotten a better payoff for trading down.

I think I'd happily give up Bortles and 3.06 just to have my pick of the top 3, though. Took Yeldon with the 1.08

A bit of a unique situation here as this is a contract league and Cruz was on a big one. Moving him freed up a lot of space to sign our rookies and have some space left over, and we were desperate for a RB after taking Cooper over Gordon at 1.02 despite our already big WR/RB quality disparity.

This completes the (hopefully) 1-year rebuild of a team that finished 11th out of 12 last offseason. We had AJG/Dez and no other players of real value besides maybe Cruz/Ertz, though we did have 1.02, 1.05, 2.02, and 2.09 in the draft. We turned those plus Cruz in to Cooper, Yeldon, Megatron, and a future 1st. With Sims/Randle/Blount/White all having the potential of expanded roles this year we now may have enough for our RBs to at least tread water while the WRs do their thing, and we now have two 1sts again next year as well.

RB: Yeldon, Blount, Sims, Randle, B Brown, J White

WR: Dez, AJG, Megatron, Cooper, Patterson

TE: Ertz

To clarify, I was the side giving 1.03 + to move up to 1.01, with the intention of drafting Gurley. Thought it was a fair price to move up and get the guy I really want.

About a month ago somebody in the league traded up from 1.02 to 1.01 with me. I think I got an extra second to move back 1 spot. Then they used the 1.01 on Winston. League just started this year, not sure it will make it.

he thought that the backup for stewart, and possibly a guy who might earn the starting job on his own at some point, was worth a second round pick and was surprised he was available in the third. A current second and a future second for a future first sounds reasonable when you're watching a guy you like inexplicably slide.

Exactly. Maybe people hoard RBs like gold in that league, but in most of my leagues I could get a serviceable RB with a 2016 1st rather then the crapshoot Artis-Payne represents.
