The guy liquidated one IRA and the fridge was 3K. Hillary and Bill alone have two homes worth ~$20 million? They take 500K checks from corporations they'll be regulating, but Rubio's in trouble for financing his own presidential run with his own IRA and savings?

Yeah, I hear ya. I looked this up. It must be the stainless steel. Maybe he didn't want to throw the wife under the campaign bus.

 
Makes me slump when the NYT blasts Rubio for his handling of his finances & he averaged a speeding ticket every four years. So Romney was too rich & out of touch & Rubio was too poor & couldn't handle his money? Rubio has a nice back story, but apparently that gets lost in the biased(IMO) media circles. His story & rise is only useful if he is a democrat. It's a shame.

If interested, which some of you obviously are, my fridge cost me about $2500.

Uh yeah that's true, he's also got a demanding wife. And he does have big time bills to pay. I'm guessing that windmill has its own Sub-Zero.

It has seemed to ME that there is often a huge discrepancy between what you perceive, and what the Reality actually is.

 
If this happened, it'll have to show up in the campaign expense report (though I guess theoretically they could bury it by bumping up the cost paid to whatever company they "hired" to put on the event.

Rubio was one of dozens of lawmakers who backed the measure. Reflecting the odd political dynamics of the state, several of those co-sponsors were Democrats, and several of them were African Americans (who would later withdraw their support). The bill was framed as an act of historical preservation. Under its guidelines, the government would have been blocked from permanently removing or relocating historical monuments, including flags, from public property.

If you look at where the American Flag is in that photo - there's no doubt that is what that campaign wanted in their cut-away shot.

First of all the Republicans are now officially skrewed. Trump is already 2nd in NH in the WSJ/NBC Suffolk poll.

Ok, that's out the way.

I find his whole entree disturbing for the country. We have the Clintons (rich, from public service), we have John Bush (rich, from old bank and oil money), and we have Trump (rich x1000), in 3 of the 4 leading spots in the two parties. In one sense I find it refreshing, here is a political candidate who is frank about corruption and how it works, except he is showing the POV of the corruptor. But on the other it shows a very cynical turn in US politics. Besides the money we have three candidates whose main "virtue" for running is their name recognition, they are famous or infamous by name. And of course there is the money that comes with it. It seems funny or absurd now but it may just be the beginning of the future. And the future is bleak.

They may have won those positions due to name recognition, but they're not like Trump.

Hillary net worth 21 mill. Jeb Bush net worth 10 mill. Trump is 4.5 bill, so yeah like I said he's rich x1000, but they're all super rich. For all three that's just what's been disclosed. And the fact that Clinton and Bush won those elections from name recognition is just a reiteration, they got where they are because they got elected from name recognition and today they have name recognition because they got elected. That's a truism.

Trump is a clown. There's no point in comparing him to serious candidates like Bush or Clinton, there's no good analogy to draw.

 
Nationally, Trump is at 2%. The big 3 remain the same: Bush, Walker, Rubio. What's a little disturbing is that Ben Carson continues to rise and is now in 4th place with 10%.

I don't think it was an analogy exactly, a partial comparison perhaps, they're three very to somewhat different people. I'm not sure it's anything more than a statement of two characteristics, wealth and name recognition, as possibly driving future elections.
