Official 2016 GOP thread: Is it really going to be Donald Trump?? (4 Viewers)

Watching the posted videos. Fiorina thinks that Hillary "possibly" knows more world leaders than her? Pretty sure that's quite more than possible. She probably knew more in 1995.

To be honest, I actually think that if this Rick Perry had shown up 4 years ago, he might have actually had a shot. Now it's too late.

I thought maybe he would be better but he's no different than he was in 2012, imo.

I look at it as who would I might want to hear more from and only Fiorina fits that for me.

My political analysis:

Jindal: The race is young and I've already heard his favorite words or lines 3 or 4 times. "Bandwidth" "We don't need a talker, we need a doer." It seems like his accent has gotten thicker since the last time he ran. He has no chance. The exorcism thing disqualifies him completely.

Graham: Have heard his "I speak Clinton" joke a half dozen times. Vote for him means more war. He has no chance. Out first probably. I did like when he said he would find himself a Tip O'Neill. I bet you will, Lindsey.

Pataki: Has always been a capable candidate but he just doesn't wow you. I thought he was second best tonight though.

Gilmore: I had never seen or heard him before and maybe that skews my viewpoint a bit but I thought he was the most competent guy on stage. I thought his response to Fiorina was the best moment of the debate.

Perry: Wearing glasses may make you look smarter but it doesn't actually make you smarter and that was proven tonight. I believe he said the American people don't want to talk about immigration and then he went and talked about almost nothing except that. If he played Scrabble with Dennis Rodman it'd be close.

Fiorina: She likes to name drop. I thought her remarks on corporate responsibility in terms of security was one of the best moments of the night mostly because it was different from the same old stuff these debates focus on.

Santorum: He's act didn't work 4 years ago but now he thinks it will? I heard nothing new from him. It's not going to happen, Rick.

At least Perry went to LensCrafters and memorized a few three syllable words this time around. Rick is just doing the exact same act. was he thinking now that Romney is out there's nobody who can beat him?

I think that's the consensus.

And I'm not surprised, she has been constantly answering questions since she started her campaign. She is always professional and prepared.

Yes I'm aware of all the negatives from her history, I'm just talking about her demeanor and skill in this campaign.

By far the worst answer of the debate was when Graham was asked about abortion, and he ended up putting ground troops in Iraq. That was so ####### ugly.

Though I could find no cause for my chest pains, I was very scared of what was happening to me and Susan. I began to think that the demon would only attack me if I tried to pray or fight back; thus, I resigned myself to leav­ing it alone in an attempt to find peace for myself.

...The students dared Susan to read biblical passages. She choked on certain passages and could not finish the sentence ‘Jesus is Lord.’ Over and over, she repeated ‘Jesus is L#####LL,’ often ending in profanities.

Just as suddenly as she went into the trance, Susan suddenly reappeared and claimed ‘Jesus is Lord.’ With an almost comical smile, Susan then looked up as if awakening from a deep sleep and asked, ‘Has something happened?’

It's linked but people should realize - this was in an article, written by Jindal while at Oxford in an Oxford publication.

Bobby Jindal received his M.Litt. in Politics earlier this year from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is currently an Associate at McKinsey & Co. in Washington, D.C. He has been accepted at Harvard Medical School and Yale Law School, and has the option of returning to Oxford for a D.Phil. in Politics.

Hate twitter and can never tell who's talking or being quoted or generally wtf they're saying, but I might have to subscribe to that guy. If only to see if I can get one of those shirts.

 
I think as long as every question you answer doesn't end with you invading another country, you'll survive this week's tribal council.
