Kasich has acted incredibly irresponsibly as governor with its budget. He got the state finances in order by drastically cutting local funding. It's just a shell game where he cuts the state budget but has worsened our communities budgets. This could be a winner and what this country needsChristie-Kasich 2016
Congrats you bought the spin on Mitt. You were just another rube walking the midway.Such a shame . We needed Mitt , we really did. People like you let us down. Hey listen you let us down.It was Mitt. Hard to get exuberant over someone who has the persona of a used car salesman.Where was this exuberance when Mitt was running? He was the real deal . He would have been a magnificent president . I'm telling you he would have been . What a shame. Real shame.Kasich is running for the veeps long as Trump is in the race. He can't beat Donald . The establishment isn't going to win . Believe meKasich for the $$$$ We need to get behind this guy if us Moderate Republicans want a real shot at the White House. Cruz...Trump....absolute disasters and a sure fire way to lose the general election. And Rubio? LMFAO what a little punk. No shot in hell.
Stop wasting your time with these clowns and get behind a reasonable Governor who understands what it takes to run a country.
Wake up!!!
I would love Trump/Brown Vs Biden/Granny WarrenTrump/Kasich??
Would that ticket destroy the Dems?
That was my perception before the spin - the spin was not spin, it just confirmed what most people already thought. And considering the difficulties he had locking down the nomination, it was obvious even Republicans were not that gung ho about him.Congrats you bought the spin on Mitt. Is this the real reason why Eminence supports him?Sorry screw Trump on eminent domain.
Whoa you buried the lede there EGI remember talking to him Christmas of 89 and him telling me that his roommate was a soulless creep incapable of empathy. Also that he smelled horrible and left an oily film on everything he touched, to the point that he had to ban Ted from using his computer. I never dreamed that 26 years later, I'd be watching this guy run for President.Ha actually I've seen this, great stuff.I've said this on the board a few times, but if you really want to know why people dislike this guy, look up my friend's Twitter account. @clmazin He lived in a room with Ted for 10 months and has uncommon insight into why he's so intensely disliked.I've actually read many times that's why he's so unpopular. He's the smartest guy in the room, but also the biggest dooshI agree. His problem is that he feels the need to tell you every ten seconds just how smart he is.Cruz is a smart guy, I have to give him credit. I dont agree with his politics but he's sharp.
Yeah, Evilgrin, you should probably start a topic about all that. I understand why some would give Christie an A last night. But in reality he's more of a one trick pony than Rubio is. Christie repeats the same tired #### every damn debate - "Governors actually have to make decisions and be held accountable". He also mentions every single time that he's the only person on the stage who has prosecuted terrorists. Rubio should have thrown that right back in his face. Watch for it at the next debate (if Christie is still alive).
Christie believes he himself is more qualified. He is not wrong that Rubio is a lightweight who gets votes because of his looks.I understand why some would give Christie an A last night. I think we can all relate to this but this is truly surreal.Love to see Kasich be the manThey will have to unify behind Kasich or Christie....So Rubio sucked tonight? If that kills his chances, then what?
The establishment really wants to unify behind one guy. If they don't do that, Trump is still likely to win this nomination.
There's a difference between message discipline and overcoached rote programming. He also mentions every single time that he's the only person on the stage who has prosecuted terrorists.
And his wobbling. And his haircut. And his gestures. And just about everything about him. But mostly his wobbling. Damn.Someone should talk to Kasich about his posture. It's not a good look. Maybe he should the book-on-top-of-the-head trick to practice standing up straighter.
OMG. That exchange is just unbelievable. When Rubio is getting called out by Christie for offering nothing but meaningless canned 20-second sound bites, he responds by going back to the exact same meaningless canned 20-second sound bite that prompted the criticism?!? What a ####### idiot. That was Palin-esque.http://youtu.be/u9OZ8xHTX7cproninja said:Anybody have a link to the back and forth from Rubio and Christie everyone is talking about? It is amazing how much support he gets on these forums relative to the amount he gets in the general public. What the hell is everybody else looking at?Love to see Kasich be the manThey will have to unify behind Kasich or Christie....So Rubio sucked tonight? If that kills his chances, then what?

Voting for Kasich if he's still in on March 1. Our governor is for him but the governor isn't the most popular guy in the state these days because he's trying to find a way to get tax dollars for roads and education.Todem said:98% of our country has their heads in their asses.Righetti said:It is amazing how much support he gets on these forums relative to the amount he gets in the general public. He better, because he's out of Mulligans.Rubio will recover from this. He'll learn from this experience and only get better.

Not sure where, but I'm just hoping. I got a feeling, y'know?bolzano said:I still think he's a favorite to win the nomination, but Christie really hurt him last night. Id love to see it too, but the problem is the result of that will be nobody gets out. Jeb will continue to campaign all through the South and Super Tuesday, and so will Rubio, and so will Christie if he has a decent result. Which means no unifying the establishment wing, which means Trump wins most of these states with 20-25% of the vote.Man, if Kasich can get 20% in NH I would be on cloud nine in a political sense. It's exactly what he needs and what the party needs.
Disagree. Kasich getting that much of the vote should preclude Christie from getting it. IMHO. Rubio is staying in already and so is JEB because of his money. No matter what happens in New Hampshire, Rubio, Cruz, and JEB are staying in. There is a small chance that Trump would bow out if he lost New Hampshire but I doubt it. The remaining majority of the votes look like they are breaking to Kasich for the most part. Carson will be done, Fiorina is done, Chrisie unless he gets over 10% should bow out as well.Id love to see it too, but the problem is the result of that will be nobody gets out. Christie has put all his eggs into NH - ala Rudy in FL few yrs ago....if he finishes anything but top 3 it's time for him to go.....he may get some consideration as VP but not sure his strong personality fits that job spec.....I agree he's take it at this point though.Disagree. The job of a Veep nominee is to punch up. I can't stand him and he is awful but Christie would be suited to that task.Christie has put all his eggs into NH - ala Rudy in FL few yrs ago....if he finishes anything but top 3 it's time for him to go.....he may get some consideration as VP but not sure his strong personality fits that job spec.....I agree he's take it at this point though.Disagree. Maybe but Christie doesn't bring anything to a ticket as a VP except attack dog. He so thoroughly made fun of the idea of being Romney's VP that it is going to come back to bite him, he won't carry New Jersey either. I don't know if he would be a good VP choice.
Cruz can't pick him because that team would never work.

On Meet The Press, Hugh Hewitt Claims Rubio "Won All Of That Debate" Except For Christie Conflict
HUGH HEWITT: Donald Trump won Tuesday night because he did not lose Saturday night, and I think John Kasich pole vaulted over Marco Rubio into second place by being winsome and completely affable and very New Hampshire, but I'm a contrarian on Rubio, he won all of that debate except those three minutes. That will push him back, but he had a terrific second half. And I think he'll get the bronze come Tuesday night.
sadly for us, if he were to drop out I could see all those supporters flocking to KasichRBM said:Interesting to see Jeb on the way up as well.proninja said:
