I'm having a hard time trying to figure out who would be Trumps VP.
Which would be better for him? Picking a politician or staying with the outsider theme?
Military.
Good call!
Is Stockdale still around? :D
I haven't followed him since he lost his congressional race, but Allen West checks a lot of boxes (black, military, conservative, anti-establishment, anti-political correctness, etc.).
You forgot total loon

 Scott Brown. Geographically no advantage but covers the military and outsider pol bases. Plus smart , well spoken , good looking , think typical FBG

I think that Nikki Haley would be a fantastic running mate. If not Haley, then someone like Kasich who can deliver a swing state.
That's my conundrum. I'm thinking that anyone that has further aspersions in the party can't join the ticket minus some massive deal at the convention.A military nobody is stupid and will hurt not help. I keep finding myself thinking he would try to go into the business world. Jamie Dimon would be interesting.

I worked on an event a few weeks ago where he spoke. I clipped the wireless mic on him. Incredible listening to him speak for an hour. Great geopolitical history lesson.
The guy deserves to be among the pantheon of great American military leaders. It is a shame his mini-Petraeus had him make some dumb decisions.

Well, Dimon is a Democrat and big (early at least) supporter of Obama.

I don't know if party matters. He keeps promising tremendous people and winning. Dimon fits that. Granted I'm just playing with outside the box ideas.

Yup, Dimon has a knack for screwing people over to make a buck.... sounds like a perfect fit for Trump.

I would note that a sizable proportion of the conservative base hates Trump. Therefore, I think that he has to pick a conservative running mate (e.g., Tim Scott, Rubio) to unite the party.
Tim Scott would be a good choice.

Trump threatening to sue Cruz over birther issue if Cruz doesn't stop negative telemarketing in SoCar.

Back in 2000 someone running against McCain had telemarketing calls to people asking them if they'd vote for McCain if it was found he had a black baby out of wedlock. lololol

If Trump wins the nomination, I predict at least a couple instances where news is leaked that he has asked someone to be his VP and they turned him down, followed by angry press conferences where Trump denies the rumor and calls his alleged target a loser.

We will make note so you get proper credit

At the minimum, I expect a thread title change honoring my achievement.

Well, if you're going to commit a tort, I guess it's nice to inform everyone first?
I particularly enjoyed Trump's use of "standing" in his threat.

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump
If @TedCruz doesn’t clean up his act, stop cheating, & doing negative ads, I have standing to sue him for not being a natural born citizen.

Trump was right! Also interesting, Rubio has the lowest favorability rating amongst Hispanics. Perhaps they don't trust him due to his constant flip-flopping on illegal immigration/ amnesty (i.e., pro-amnesty/ immigration dove as a state legislator in FL, anti-amnesty/ immigration hawk during his senate run, pro-amnesty/ immigration dove after he was elected to the senate, anti-amnesty/ immigration hawk now that he's running for president).

A new poll confirms it. In the national survey, which was conducted by Beck Research on behalf of the American Federation for Children, 38 percent of Latinos favor Trump. Ted Cruz got 15 percent. Jeb Bush pulled in 14 percent. And Marco Rubio, the guy who’s supposed to be the one who could unite the party and win? Just 8 percent.

And he will pull blacks, too.

Those on the left still haven't realized that a freight train is barreling down on them. Gonna be a lot of fun.

The alienation and anger felt by so much of the electorate is going to inoculate Trump from much of the bull#### political smears and attacks usually used against candidates because the people are more interested in sending a message instead of being lectured by do-nothing losers who only serve the interests of their donors and their own pocketbooks.
The freight train of not being able to pull 40% of the latinos in his own party?

Of course he was. Thanks Jamie for all you've done!!!

Fox News is airing a program titled "Voter Revolt" right now (10PM start), hosted by Brett Baier.

"People fed up with establishment politics share their opinions about why they are throwing their support behind unconventional candidates in 2016." Should be an interesting watch.

Right to Rise airing an attack ad against Kaish for having cut defense spending

I like the guy better every day
This crap from Jeb and him rolling out W is making it where I wouldn't vote for him if he somehow made a comeback. I never voted for W and would never, but I always thought Jeb had more sense. I get that he's doing what he feels he has to in order to win though. He's trying to peel votes anywhere he can and he's unlikely to peel many away from Trump or Cruz as their supporters are pretty solidly for them.
