*Official 2016 Philadelphia Eagles* - The year of Change (2 Viewers)

Hearing that we are getting a 4th for Murray. That would be remarkable. Especially because it's the top pick of the 4th.

If the rumours are true, we traded murray+maxwell+kiko for 2 very early 4th rounders and a move up from 13 to 8. Howie would be a god if this happened.

Pete Prisco is now reporting that the 13 to 8 swap is legit

"The Dolphins let the Eagles move up 5 spots in the 1st and a fourth-round pick in the Chip dump trade? What is Tannenbaum doing to Gase?"

Never mind. Now he says he was speculating.

McKelvin was a high pick years back but I haven't really followed him since is he decent at least? Contract is cheaper than I thought, like the signing.

He was banged up late in 2014 and came back late 2015. Played S and CB last year. I only saw one game he was in last year and he looked ok to me.

this sounds almost identical to the love and adoration for Chip last year. Yeah we unloaded salary cap, but do we have a starting CB, LB, and RB (i think we are fine with RB. I am just assuming Howie moved Alonso to play 1st round talent Marcus Smith).

let's see how they draft 1st before anointing anybody to deity status

There is that part of it but you have to appreciate the impossible task of moving two terrible contracts a year after they were written. Then to not only get out from under them, move up on the top 10 of the draft to position yourself for a stud player.

Nice to unload these albatross contracts for picks, but how much faith do we have that Howie will actually come through on draft day? The scouting department is still severely undermanned, right?

I have Faith. I believe 2012 is Howie's potential. He pulled 5 guys that contributed on some Level in the NFL and one guy is an All Pro that he identified and traded up to get.

Welp

Source tells @mortreport and I #Dolphins-#Eagles trade involving Byron Maxwell, Kiko Alonzo may be off b/c concern Maxwell shoulder injury

(Ed Werder Twitter)
Just heard Adam Schefter say the same thing.  Physicals were yesterday. Maxwell seemed very confident last night that he was going to Miami according to his Twitter.

I think that teams let these trades leak early so that they can see fans' reactions. Everyone was saying how amazing it was that Philly found someone dumb enough to take that terrible contract from us. I'm sure that made them reconsider.

I was wondering if the trade was not going to go through because of a physical. But I thought it was going to be Kiko that failed the physical. I think this is all Bs. The Dolphins threw it out there and saw how much of a ####storm it was starting. And now they want to back out or get a lesser compensation

By the way the NFL's legal tampering period is total f****** b*******! All it is is a legal way for teams to throw #### out there and then be able to back out of it if they want to

Maybe Howie should learn that he doesn't need to leak every single bowel movement of his to the media.

Say what you want about Chip (and Hinkie) but I love that they don't leak stuff.  The downside far outweighs the upside.  Especially in this town that turns everything into a freaking circus

Tell me how you know it was Howie who leaked this?

The Dolphins found a problem with Maxwell's shoulder....that's it.

I don't see how this deal can realistically fall apart, considering that both sides have already made other moves that were directly influenced by the consummation of this deal. Can't roll back the release of Grimes or the signing of McKelvin.

Pretty sure it was Maxwell himself that tweeted he was headed to Miami. Or maybe his agent. It was definitely one of them that made the rumors official.
