*Official 2017 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles* - Parade of Champions Down Broad Street! (2 Viewers)

Still can't believe no one drafted Corey clement.  He was a really good college back with that went to a good program and has the build you look for.  And we got him for nothing
I took a LOT of grief during Biabreakable's rookie draft thing last year when I suggested Clement should be taken seriously. I wish I could find that thread... maybe I'll dig that up. A lot of people said no one who has ran that slow of a 40 time has amounted to anything decent in the NFL

I was really excited when we scooped him up.  Agree with big boy he looks better than I remember.  Faster.  Looks like he lost weight.

It's going to be a weird feeling going back to hating you guys again in September.

I married an Eagles fan and from '05-'11 we lived near Philly and attended about 10 games with various family and friends during that time. I appreciated them accepting me despite my being a Giants fan. Seems kind of trivial when we were genuinely in love and planning a wedding, but it was actually a big deal. Many of them have said they wouldn't have been able to accept me if I was a cowboys fan and I don't think they were kidding.

Anyway, seeing how passionate they were, how many times they were kicked in the teeth, and so disrespected by the national media as classless dirtbag fans, I always said I wanted them to experience this. My wife came with me to the Canyon of Heroes in '08 and watched us all lose our minds when Eli and Coughlin rolled by hoisting the trophy, and she hated every second of it. She wanted to experience it with me though. So maybe I'm like a Jew praising Allah here but screw it, I'm overwhelmed with happiness for all of Philly today and wish I was up there to see everyone delirious and happy and exhausted and in disbelief. Enjoy this moment, there's absolutely nothing like it.

You've really gotta love that it was against the Pats too. And the deciding play was that strip of Brady. You could not have written a better script. If you had to wait this long to finally win one, it was as scary and dramatic and perfect as it could be. It's unbelievable.

Congrats Philly!!!!! ?
I still think the Giants suck but much love for you @McGarnicle  Thank you good sir!

Ajayi/Clement are locks.  I don't see both smallwood and pumphrey making the roster next year though...  They'll probably battle it out in training camp though - will depend if Pumphrey put any size/strength on.

CB is going to be an interesting battle with Jones and Douglas in the mix.  really hoping Jones works out, we need a press corner badly.

I’m sure it’s been posted in here already but watching Kobe Bryant react was just awesome too! I know many don’t consider him a “Philly” guy but you can clearly see it’s in him.

Texts from my wife. :lmao:

So many Pats fans #####ing about officiating

It’s hilarious

Sorry the refs didn’t have Brady’s #### in their mouths for once.

No one was more shocked than Patriots fans when the reviews didn't go their way. They are used to getting nearly 100% of close calls.

I think Smallwood is gone

I was just thinking the same thing. This is a guy who's won 5 NBA titles and he was still jacked about the Eagles.

Mack hollins beat out torrey? I mean torrey, made some plays but hes average

Congrats to the Eagles and their fans, I would like to say I was shocked by the pats defensive "performance" last night but surprised and disappointed would be more accurate. The NE lack of talent on defense really showed up last night and combined with the outstanding performance by the eagles offense it was too much. The entire Philly offense and special teams played an outstanding game and you gotta give credit where credit is due. Congrats!

With a $5M cap charge, I don't see Torrey Smith coming back. That money is better spent on Bradham or Graham. Hollins is skilled enough to take his job, but dumping Smith will mean losing a speed element from the offense. Maybe Shelton Gibson makes the team, maybe they look for a speedster type in the draft or free agency.

Hollins seems plenty fast to me

Unfortunately I never saved them. But I appreciate the love.

I'll pass the torch on to someone else as I usually do in even years. Let's let this one digest a bit till maybe the combine. Then we can start a new as Defending champs!
Am happy to take that on again, but if someone else wants to do it they can go for it.  Not as good as Insein but I try.

We usually start the new thread the next day after the season but I think we should keep this one going until Monday or something since we haven't had the parade yet and I'm not ready to move on to next year yet :P

I still think McVay deserved the reg season COY award based on what he did this year and how the award is given out, but man, can't think of a coach I'd rather have in the entire NFL than Pederson right now.  He's the man and his style is exactly what we need.  Wonder how pissed off Chip was last night

Wonder how Andy Reid felt watching the Superbowl.

I for one am amazed we won with a "non football guy" like Howie and a glorified High School coach in Pederson.

Not sure.  I kind of think Andy has a little 'non jealousy' Carson in him and would be happy for Foles, Pederson, and the city.  I actually bet he was cheering for us, but it was probably bittersweet that it wasn't him that could have taken us there.

Howie is a genius for sure.  And I don't think there's any way we win this game with any other coach.  I still can't believe we went for it on 4th down down there in the Super Bowl.  He is afraid of no one, and was the anti Atlanta/Jax/Every other team who is scared of the pats.

Agrred. Say what you will about Big Red as a coach, but as a human being, he always struck me as unimpeachable.

I can probably guarantee you McNabb is butthurt and will probably say something stupid in the coming days.

I didn't even think for a moment we weren't going for it.

1st and a 3rd for Foles or no deal.
Anything else, and I’ll feel we made a mistake. It would take that big an offer and reluctantly wanting what’s best for Foles to pry him away, If I were GM. Fortunately, Howie has a pretty impressive track record with trades.

Awesome if we can get one of those browns first rounders
No one is paying a 1st for Foles, especially a top 5 pick. Just being realistic here.

You guys wouldn't take a 1st rounder for a guy that hopefully won't play for us next year?  Seems like that would be a big mistake to say no to a 2nd rounder for him if Wentz is ready to rock week 1.

I would take a second.  But I kinda want him on the roster until we know Wentz is back

I wouldn't take anything less than a first round pick. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota went one and two overall a few years ago. Foles is better than both of them.

I’d take a 1st and a 3rd/4th. I don’t see a lot of upside to trading away the guy who just finally won us a Lombardi, who is happy here and loves this team, and who is the back-up to our franchise QB, who still hasn’t come back from a pretty serious knee injury and takes some pretty wicked hits. He’s a cheap insurance policy. I’d keep him unless somebody blew my doors off with an offer.
