Go back into hiding please. TIA.With Garopollo possibly out for the season, Levi’s will probably be empty for yet another season
So then they'll have two quarterbacks who can't stand up?Kaepernick is available.

???????So then they'll have two quarterbacks who can't stand up?
Hey, you asked why I wasn’t in here now that the 49ers are good to a couple of months ago.Go back into hiding please. TIA.
Johnny Manziel?
Checked my schedule and it seems I am also available to play QB for the 49ers.Kaepernick is available.

The 49er player police blotter has enough of them alreadyJohnny Manziel?
They're averaging 27 points a game, which is better than about 2/3 of the league. I'd say they're better than last year. If not for a crap ton of penalties and drops they might be 2-1 right now.Hey, you asked why I wasn’t in here now that the 49ers are good to a couple of months ago.
Just how good are they, even with a healthy Garopollo?
Not very, and now without him, I would figure these 49er season threads will wind up just like Levi’s.
Empty
They haven’t faced top ten defenses yet either. KC is ranked dead last in defense after two games, MIN got blown out by BUF, and DET is DET.They're averaging 27 points a game, which is better than about 2/3 of the league. Anyway, enjoy being a stick in the mud. You seem to thrive on misery.
Yeah it's called frustration. What's your point? Everyone here knows Im a Niner fan through and through. You? Not so much. They haven’t faced top ten defenses yet either. KC is ranked dead last in defense after two games, MIN got blown out by BUF, and DET is DET.
They could be 2-1, but also could be 0-3 due to a penalty from DET.
But hey, all we have to do is go back a page where you said:
“This team is garbage. Receivers cant catch, defense cant tackle, we cant stop anybody. Just scrap it.”

Not really getting the hate. He showed flashes last year as a rookie and came in cold and threw a clutch TD today. With the additional year in Shanahan’s system, I don’t think he’ll be the worst QB in the league or anything this year.So why not just go with Beathard?
If only there was a way to stop seeing posts from individuals who constantly annoyed you...Yeah it's called frustration. What's your point? Everyone here knows Im a Niner fan through and through. You? Not so much.
Whether anyone thinks I am a fan or not doesn’t matter to me. I’ve followed the franchise longer than you have, have written about them, posted a gazillion words about them, and can still even as a casual observer make a salient and relevant point. It’s not rocket science I know, but it doesn’t mean can’t speak my mind about it.Yeah it's called frustration. What's your point? Everyone here knows Im a Niner fan through and through. You? If there was a way for you to stop complaining about it like you have for ten seasons nowIf only there was a way to stop seeing posts from individuals who constantly annoyed you...
He has one good game last year, against the dumpster fire defense of the NYG. I imagine SF doesn't have a whole lot to gain trading for a QB, may as well take your lumps rather then give up draft stock - but this is gonna hurt. Not really getting the hate. If you look at Beatenhard’s stats last season...Manziel is humiliating himself for Montreal in the CFL. He's playing so badly he shouldn't even be a backup for the Alouettes.
At 1-2 they have to decide if they want to sink more resources into a QB when they've already paid Garoppolo a mint. Anyone they get will be cheap and mediocre. So why not just go with Beathard?
First, let’s be reasonable with what he could have been expected to do last year. He was a rookie playing on maybe the least talented team in the league. Second, I’m not saying he’s going to lead the Niners to the playoffs or anything crazy. I do suspect that he’ll produce more for the Niners this year than a stop gap veteran like Tyrod, etc., would if brought in. He outplayed a guy like that in Hoyer last year.He has one good game last year, against the dumpster fire defense of the NYG. Said the past few seasonsSilver lining - they should end up with a pretty high draft pick!
This is where I am.This was not a good team so while i'm disappointed I'm not heartbroken...they weren't going anywhere this year
As much as I can understand this point of view, it's really really hard for a team to suddenly go from 4/5 wins to 10/11 wins. Much easier to get there from winning 8/9 games. I don't think this is a good thing for SF's chances next year. This is where I am.
If they would’ve pulled out 10 wins and snuck into a wildcard, I would’ve been very pleasantly surprised, but my expectations at best were 8-9 wins.
As a fan, I’m happy and comfortable in two places; contender or contention for the number 1 pick. This 8-8 area to me is like being stuck in neutral, so I’ll take solace in chasing a top 5 pick.
Two words:As much as I can understand this point of view, it's really really hard for a team to suddenly go from 4/5 wins to 10/11 wins. Much easier to get there from winning 8/9 games. I don't think this is a good thing for SF's chances next year.
Eagles in 2016 (7-9) to 13-3 in 2017 and a SB win.As much as I can understand this point of view, it's really really hard for a team to suddenly go from 4/5 wins to 10/11 wins. Much easier to get there from winning 8/9 games. I don't think this is a good thing for SF's chances next year.
Again, I never said it couldn't be done. I said (three times now), "much easier".Eagles in 2016 (7-9) to 13-3 in 2017 and a SB win.
Panthers in 2014 (7-8-1) to 15-1 in 2015 and a SB appearance.
49ers in 2010 (6-10) to 13-3 in 2011 and a SB appearance.
Three teams went from 6-7 wins to appearing in a SB. It's not unheard of in recent years. Next season the 49ers should be at full strength, so its certainly possible. Not saying it will happen, but they're only 5 wins away from a 6 win season and they play Arizona and Seattle twice, the Giants, Raiders, Broncos and Bucs. Stranger things have happened.
He just gave you 3 examples from the previous 7 seasons. Not sure where you get “much easier” from or why you are trying to argue this? I don’t even see the point.Again, I never said it couldn't be done. I said (three times now), "much easier".
Ok, I can name more than 3 examples in the last 7 years where an 8/9 win team makes a deep playoff run. Aka, Much Easier. He just gave you 3 examples from the previous 7 seasons. Not sure where you get “much easier” from or why you are trying to argue this? I don’t even see the point.
Furthermore, that huge turnaround is prob the best feeling you can have as a fan.
The 2011-2012 49ers season, even with the Kyle Williams debacle, might’ve been my favorite season as a 49ers fan ever, it was just so unexpected after almost a decade of pitiful football.
TBH, I didnt read those 3 posts, I tend to gravitate to posts by actual fans. I see enough negativity elsewhere online, I dont really care to deal with it here any more.Again, I never said it couldn't be done. I said (three times now), "much easier".
EDT: Also, it was in response to going after a 'top 5 pick". 6 wins likely won't get a top 5 pick. I'm saying if I'm a SF fan looking towards next year, I'd still rather have Jimmy this year and try to win 8 games, than to have Jimmy out and win 4 games and have a top 5 pick.
.What fans are saying that? We are staring adversity in the face right now and are trying to remain positive and hoping for the best case scenario. Sorry if you cant understand that.Ok, I can name more than 3 examples in the last 7 years where an 8/9 win team makes a deep playoff run. Aka, Much Easier.
My point is that SF fans are saying they would NOW rather win 4 games this year than 8 games this year, thinking it will give them a better shot in 2019. I'm in the camp that a winning culture, more wins/attractive place for FA's to land, more experience, etc is better than tanking for a higher pick in the nfl.
I wasn't being negative or bashing the 49ers at all. I was saying if I was a SF fan right now, I still think it's better to win 8 games this year than 4 games this year. OK I can agree with this. 4 games wont make a huge difference in the draft, the top few picks will be jockeying for a QB like every year, so that sends talent down a bit since we wont be looking for a QB. I still think this team can win 6-8 games...its not gonna be easy, but it can be done. I wont be upset if they win 8, and I wont think the sky is falling if they win 5. I just hope they address pass rush in the draft, its a glaring weakness that has proved to be a tough need to fill via FA.I wasn't being negative or bashing the 49ers at all. And to your 2nd point, see below. I think as a fan you should still cheer for them to win games this year and 8-8 would be more of a positive than a top 5 pick.
I definitely think this team can still win 6 games. Hoping for your team to lose for a better draft pick can be argued in other sports where there's such a huge drop off of talent after top 5. And if its late in the year. Or if you are in desperate need of qb. But when you have a franchise qb, and it's week 3, I think winning games this year should still be the goal of any fan. It will be more beneficial to the teams success next year.OK I can agree with this. 4 games wont make a huge difference in the draft, the top few picks will be jockeying for a QB like every year, so that sends talent down a bit since we wont be looking for a QB. had to chime in on Minnesota. They are still a top 5 defense in the league, regardless of the ridiculous outcome of today's gameThey haven’t faced top ten defenses yet either. KC is ranked dead last in defense after two games, MIN got blown out by BUF, and DET is DET.

I remember back in 1994 when the Eagles waxed the 49ers 40 something to 8 around week 4 or 5 and Siefert pulled Young out...then we went on a tear and ran the table en route to a SB win. The Eagles were a sub .500 team that year.had to chime in on Minnesota. They are still a top 5 defense in the league, regardless of the ridiculous outcome of today's game
Well what contributes to that current ranking at #10 so far this season (according to NFL.com) was playing against the 49ers, and yes tMIN was a playoff team last season, point taken.had to chime in on Minnesota. They are still a top 5 defense in the league, regardless of the ridiculous outcome of today's game
This read like a PFT comment, or something out of the WebzoneHaters can all go fornicate themselves with a rusty iron stick, Im done reading their posts. They all get a one way ticket to ignoreville, period.
Going to the Steelers - Bucs game tomorrow night (my GF is a Steeler fan)....gonna be a fun night!
Garoppolo to me is still unproven and it takes a full sched of 16 games to see where a quarterback shakes out, or at least 12-13. This is the second major injury he’s suffered in his NFL career, and the way he was getting hit yesterday he could injure his shoulder once again. The 49ers should find some added insurance at quarterback next season, and they might have to if Garopollo’s injury is that serious to hamper his development. No matter how everyone is sold on him, they still have a question at quarterback. They have questions at a lot of positions, no matter where they picked in the draft. It’s going to take both Lynch and Shanahan another two seasons to also prove themselves.Again, I never said it couldn't be done. I said (three times now), "much easier".
