*** OFFICIAL 2021 NFL Draft Thread *** (1 Viewer)

Miami does not pick again until like 156 so I would be OK if they wanted to reach just a smidge with this next selection.

Not sure what RBs are available but it might be a good idea for them. I also like the Center from Wisconsin-Whitewater a lot and would like to see Miami grab him.

The Phins coached the Senior bowl to my knowledge, I would hope it has made some impact on their selections and why maybe they went Holland over say someone like Richie Grant or even Moerhig who scouts had rated higher.

I was thinking Surratt and there he goes to Minnesota, dang!

Read This

and he was rated #74 Overall on Pro Football Focus which is. solid 3rd round grade, almost a late 2nd.

"Christensen broke the PFF record for overall grade by a tackle at 96.0 in 2020. While he is on the older side (24), Christensen’s dominance is difficult to ignore after allowing three pressures all last season."

Relax  ;)
Great, we took a guy half way to retirement.

Three pressure numbers look nice but tell me who UTSA, North Bama, and Texas State Penn are.  AT 54 y and 250 LB I would have made those guys look like childs play.  When I go to Davidson college to run track and the Davidson college football players are on the field, I'm bigger and stronger than 90% of them.  Christensen is pretty much me....fat old guy who looks like a football player when hanging out with kids.

I've honestly never heard of either of the last players the Raiders just took or was unaware of them in this Draft. Not saying they weren't projected here but I overlooked them almost completely.

Special Teams types?

Taking Koonce with Ronnie Perkins still available is a head scratcher.

Deablo is a box safety/linebacker hybrid that should be good.

Myles Gaskin owners doing well in this draft. I think he's underrated. He was a 7th rounder, maybe that's where his competition comes from.

Like Nico a lot, hate he’s in Houston.  Hopefully the find a qb (and the rest of a team) sooner than later.

That is a GREAT spot for Trey Sermon.

Dynasty first round is filling out.
I love it RL football, but with a stacked bullpen of RBs and the secondary still isn’t where I’d like it to be.

they went up & got him though, so I figure he’ll be the primary? but yeah - Sermon, Mostert, Wilson, Gallman

That’s a crowded, talented backfield. When they picked up Gallman I was pretty well convinced they wouldn’t draft a RB.

short term hard to see a home run fantasy pick here, but could be the long-term gamble for sure

Sermon to SF is really interesting.  Good pedigree, path to touches, great offense.
I agree with 2 of these three things.

Sermon’s path to touches is a little rocky. As a Niners fan I love it & hope he’s the man, and if he’s in a committee it’s gonna be a very productive one.

But... Great offense? I'm a bit hesitant on that. Will it be Jimmy or Trey? If Trey, might he struggle for a bit?

Hoping I get a big last hurrah from Mostert. Best possible outcome for me.
