Why is Treinen in?
Probably in the "script" already and Roberts wasn't going to deviate. But could you imagine the uproar of he brings knack in for the 8th and he gets torched?

Thinking more about it, the top of the Padres lineup was coming up so I don't think you run Knack out there for that given the stakes.

The home plate ump in the royals yankees game might be the worst one i’ve ever seen. And i’ve seen some. Both ways.

The Royals simply don’t have the bats. We knew that going in and its proven to be true. I imagine the yankees finish it tomorrow. And thats ok.

The royals lost 106 last year and made huge strides this year. Our window is opening now. Just need a couple bats.
Couldn't have been worse than the ump in Game 1 Mets/Phillies. 16 clearly errant calls with 11 going against the Mets.

Well, Minnesotans finally, after 30 years, shamed the Pohlads into selling a team they had no interest, duty, or care in. Good riddance you pathetic schmucks.
They have so much money and put so little back into the team.

I actually did meet Pohlad once and he was a nice enough guy. But, yeah, it was definitely a business project for him as opposed to a passion project.

Your team won their series. Suck it.

I know, but that umpiring was epically terrible.

Given it was the top of the order and they were up 8 nothing, why give those hitters additional looks at Trienen? Made no sense to me.

This is one of the things that Roberts does poorly. In the regular season you can get away with things like that because you see a team for 3 or 4 games then don't see them for weeks after that. However it a short winner take all series the more a team gets a chance to look at relief pitchers the more likely it is for them to lose their edge.

It's the 4th time Blake has thrown an inning or more vs SD in the last 2 weeks so I don't think him throwing last night gave them an advantage for game 5.

every time batters get live AB's off a pitcher in a short period of time helps the batters and lessens the advantage a RP has over the hitters. One of the biggest advantage a RP pitcher has over batters is lack of live looks. The more you see a guy the better chance you should have of hitting him.

Sure. And them seeing him 3 times versus 4 is not going to make a bit of difference.

I disagree and think it does make a difference. He also is throwing more pitches in successive days which lessens his overall effectiveness if he is needed two days in a row are three times in four days. It all adds up.

Horrible baserunning blunder by Torkelson.

I agree. Tork wanted to get a good jump to score but has to make sure it gets through first.

I went to the game last night and sat down the left field line between third and the foul pole. They are pretty good seats but it is tough to see what the pitches look like or what the batter is doing.

The energy in the park and being there can`t be beat but for watching actual the game and seeing every pitch, the batters and runners being at home on a 70 inch TV is 100 percent better.

Rameriz was due..he has always been a Tiger killer. I know he makes big bank but How this guy is not one of the highest paid players in MLB is beyond me. The numbers don`t lie.

I’m opposite of you. I love being at the ballpark because I find out I don’t get nearly as agitated because I can’t see where each pitch is. So I don’t even stress as much.

That is true. Don`t get me wrong, I love being there but really did not want to go 2 nights in a row.

They've spaced his days/work out just fine. And 5 batters seeing him last night after they've seen him 3 other times in the last 2 weeks and 33 times through his career is not going to turn his next appearance into home run derby.

He knowingly took a discount to stay in Cleveland. He’s locked up thru 2029.

Great season for the Royals. Need more offense around Witt.

Yankees caught a lot of breaks in this series, need Judge to step up moving forward.
It was. 101 losses to 2 games away from the ALCS is an astounding turnaround.

They gotta go out and get a couple of high quality bats to surround Witt with. I have not kept up with their farm system...anyone down on the farm about to breakthru?

As far as the Yankees.....Judge has been ice cold in October for a career so hopefully he can snap out of it. It's all mental with him. Fortunately like I had previously posted....the Yankees have several bats to pick him up. Stanton had himself a night. Gleyber was solid....Volpe is finally heating up again...and Jazz was a great pickup. Jon Berti also was a sneaky good pickup. And of course....Soto the Machine.

Yankees pitching is where I am confident they can get to the WS. I have not felt this good about our pitching in 15 years.

My gut tells me we will play Cleveland.

In the NL.....I don't think anyone is stopping the freight train that is The Mets right now. They feel like a team that is ultra hot and destined to make it to the WS.

Subway Series in 2024? I think so.

There is really nobody on the farm ready to hit. Maybe in two years but Dayton Moore really was poor at drafting. The owner is also trying to get a new stadium built in KC, so I could see them going out and getting two impact bats.
