When Carter shot the guy's knee his gun discharged its last bullet (slide locked back)... he told him to freeze or he'd shoot him in the other knee.  The camera went off him for a second or two then came back to him and he had a new magazine and the gun was ready to fire again.  It's the little things, Jerry.

Well.. We had at least 32 going into this episode.. Then 4 before the Truck Bomb.. CTU Estimates "at least 100" .. So at least 136 now..

Anyone else 99% sure that The Wife was going to get captured the minute CTU showed up? "SET A PERIMETER!!!"

Next week.. Tony's back :excited:

No new deaths so still at 136, give or take 20 ..

Producers did F'Up though if you want to hold on to the "Real time" theory...

Carter and Andy show up at the Junk yard before sunset and the scout team arrives.. Sun is still up.. Cut to commercial... Back from commercial, "real time" clock still running and it is complete darkness .. from pre-sunset to full on Night time in 3 minutes .. oops

Yeah, things like that are getting old quickly...  still watching...

It took until this week, but we finally got the "Set a Perimeter!!" call and fail

BTW, they upped the bridge deaths to "at least 187" from at least 100, plus the kills this week and I think we'll set it at +100 from last weeks total to brings us to 236..

let's just round up to 240

Judging from the lack of activity in this thread, everybody is feeling the same way about the show as I am..

This week's episode didn't just jump the shark, it jumped a sharknado while slicing open sharks in midair with a chainsaw...

I fast-forwarded through all the "brother, ex-girlfriend, wife" crap.. maybe I missed something riveting there...  The security guard who's girlfriend was

being held hostage? :lmao:   Come on man... Who's writing this crap?

The girlfriend hostage was ridiculous.. he escaped the bombing and in 10 minutes he knew who'd be watching over the terrorist  during questioning, wrapped a bomb around her and made the call. Not to mention the minute they found her wrapped to a bomb it wouldn't take a genius to figure it MIGHT have SOMETHING to do with the terrorist... Oh almost forgot.. they set a perimeter.. that never fails!

I counted about 10 kills to bring us to about 250.

CTU security fail and breach is the death star of a 24 season.

Haven't watched this week's episode, but ugh, this season. Yes, I know. Mountain Lion. This season there is a Mountain Lion every week. Cop shoots girl in head then slowly talks about trigger switch in her hand and lets her wake up magically from the shot to the head and push the button. Jimmy Smits listening to his dad say that he had the rangers killed and that he contacted the terrorist, but suddenly he's all upset that they are torturing him in a fake way. Oh, and I forgot, the terrorist somehow knew where the wife/brother were. I know, probably a mole, but they got there in seconds after the wife called for the pickup. CTU folks are always 30 minutes away, but the terrorists who weren't even driving around can get someone in seconds. My wife and son already gave up on the show, but for some reason I am still enduring it.

This show..

So many levels of awful.  IT analysts who know how to diffuse bombs by looking at a cell phone picture.  Security guards who can bring up building schematics and disable strategically placed cameras throughout the building.  Same security guard willing to risk the death penalty or life in prison for a mistress he's cheating with on his wife. wat?

Another IT analyst gets stabbed in the thigh, handle-deep, possibly hitting bone, and is up and walking around within the hour back at work at CTU.  No limp.  Maybe they gave him an aspirin.

Thug brother in law gets shot.  Then 20 minutes later he's close talking (Seinfeld reference), as he always does, to the hero's wife back at her house.  "We stopped the bleeding." ...  "Thanks, I'm good now."

At least the big baby senator is gagged so we don't have to listen to him whine for awhile.

A server has power issues so they call in a third party, who isn't cleared to enter a controlled facility, contract vendor to come in a fix it?  CTU IT analysts can hack into anything in the world within 3 minutes, they can diffuse bombs over the phone... but they can't replace a power supply for a server?  They don't have a server farm where safe automatic fail-over can take place?  WTF?

So a van full of people show up at the guard gate.

"Yeah, they're okay... server is sick.  All good."

"Okay, guys.. you're good to go.  Be safe."

Even if they're cleared, they aren't going to just drive into the garage without guards/dogs checking out the van.  I mean, there is terrorist activity afoot in the city.  Check for bombs, check bags for weapons.  Good grief.....

Possibly the episode before that one, but when Carter and his team are set to storm the original terrorist's building, there is a person below and to the right that enters the shot then backs out quickly just as Carter and company blow the door.  I think he was someone on the show's set who mistakenly got in the way and they decided to say "what the hell, leave it.  Maybe no one will notice."  It was a balding guy, looked like George Castanza.

I think this was the lowest "killed" total since episode 2.. I only counted 1, the terrorists son.. 251

Interested in seeing where the conspiracy with the National Intelligence Director leads to..

Kind of a "Cheesy" way to take "24" into a 12 episode show by just fast forward 12 hours.

Have to say though, they saved the best for last.. The Finale was a pretty good episode. were kept to the minimum..

Overall though I was VERY disappointed in the reboot. :kicksrock:
