agreed...I'm wondering if this is a special pre-order price or its just the regular price and an early buy in.It seems pretty neat, just wish it were a bit cheaper

Yeah. x2 on that. I haven't pulled the trigger on anything, but I'm going to get a unit for the bedroom...just not sure if I get the new regular Echo or if I get the Spot...I don't want to wait too long and have them go up.agreed...I'm wondering if this is a special pre-order price or its just the regular price and an early buy in.
"Alexa, play Barry White"the camera things is still weirding me out. I really really try not to be one other those "who's watching me" theorists, but there is something a little unnerving about having a camera in my bedroom with the Spot.
plus with all the sexy time I get—not really I'm married, but still, we set our main Alexa off all the time accidentally, IDK i want this thing chiming in during one of my rare me-and-wife-and-no clothes time.
"Alexa, tell Pornhub I'm ready.""Alexa, play Barry White"
"Alexa, dim the lights"
"Alexa, start video recording"
"Alexa, set 2 minute timer"
"Honey, I'm ready"
we have the Ring doorbell and they have a few camera and camera/spotlight combos that apparently work with Alexa. I don't have the doorbell linked to anything with video inside the house yet, but that's what I want the Spot for.Can anybody recommend a good OUTDOOR camera that works well with Echo? Our driveway is basically out of line-of-sight from our house. The only way you can see it is from the upstairs guest bedroom. I could see an Echo Spot paired with an outdoor wifi camera as a game changer...especially if it had some kind of motion notification that could light up the spot when it detected a car.
Does Ring offer cloud back-up? i.e. if somebody comes to my driveway, but I don't see it live, how can I revisit the event?we have the Ring doorbell and they have a few camera and camera/spotlight combos that apparently work with Alexa. We are seriously considering getting the Ring flood light/camera combo.
Sonos One blends great sound with Amazon Alexa, the easy-to-use voice service, for hands-free control of your music and more. Use your voice to play songs while you cook. Tell Alexa to turn the volume up while you’re in the shower. You can even request a lullaby, out loud, when you’re tucking in the kids.
Ask Alexa to play music from these featured music services. Or pause, resume, skip or change the volume with all services available.
yep. like $3/monthDoes Ring offer cloud back-up? i.e. if somebody comes to my driveway, but I don't see it live, how can I revisit the event?
Sweet. I can stomach $3/month. I've seen some that are $15 or more. No thanks.yep. like $3/month
My son was telling me of a Youtube video he saw of someone asking Alexa if she would ever lie then asking if she was connected to the FBI. I don't have one. Someone wanna try it and report back?
Those parrots and their gift bags! You can only hope to control them, cause you can't stop them.A few weeks ago, a friend of mine heard her bird talking to Alexa and came in just in time to stop him from placing an order She added a security code, which hopefully the bird won't also learn. There's a story of another one, in England, IIRC, who successfully ordered some gift bags.
