Anyone like Pitt +142???????I am leaning towards it but I would feel better if someone else liked it to. I dont see to much I like today. I will look closer when I get home.

If Atlanta wasn't so hot right now, I would consider it too. But they have reeled off 6 of their last 7 and I think the sweep is imminent.

I agree with the Rockies today at +118, Cook is solid and the Rockies are playing good baseball lately. Milwaukee besides eeking out a win last night has been in a tailspin last 10.

Weird trend: The visiting team in the Dodgers-Giants series has won the last 13 games. This is going back to 2006.

Dodgers +113 today? I don't really like the pitching matchup so I think I stay away but that's a long streak.

Lowry is 7-1 for the G-men at home this year, while Tomko is 1-7 this year. This is a strong spot for the G-men. I like the Lowry and the Giants today to FINALLY win a game against the Dodgers today at home.

Actually, I think the pitching matchup might favor the Dodgers, making this a pretty good value. Some quick saber-nerdiness:For all of the balls put in play against a batter, they really have no control over anything besides walks, K's, and whether it's a groundball, flyball, IF pop-up, etc. YTD, Tomko's balls batted in play has been .367, which is far higher than the average that most all pitchers regress to, which is .290. If you normalize for a .290 BABIP, his WHIP drops to 1.36 and his DIPS ERA (see the ESPN statistics page: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pitchi...e&count=81)

is actually 4.11. Lowry's DIPS ERA, on the other hand, is 4.41, meaning that his ERA is remarkably lucky for having such bad underlying numbers. As you might guess, Lowry's K/BB is much worse than Tomko's, 64-55 in 107 IP, vs. 59-24 IP.

Now the problem is that Tomko's returning to the rotation after being in the pen, and he's supposedly on a pitch count (not sure how long this will be for with the bullpen getting taxed yesterday) so you don't really know what you're going to get with him. That fact alone makes me wary of LA, but I definitely wouldn't roll with SF here.

According to my "system", LA +118 and HOU +118 are the viable plays today.

ETA: Lowry's home trends actually look a bit stronger than he is on the road. I would probably just sit this one out, although I'm still leaning LA.

14-13

Give me Haren for 3 units today
Give me Eaton in the nightcap.
Whoops.
I'm a n00b here obviously, but I wasn't a big fan of Oakland today. Should I have opened my mouth and said why I wasn't a big fan of this?
Yes please do next time. It only provides us with different angles, things that some of us don't see.Nevertheless, there was some questionable managing in that game.

Yesterday was miserable. Here is hoping to a better day.

NYM +101

Stl +101

Az/Mil O9 -110

I was unexpectedly absent over the weekend but return with a Big Card tonight:

Parlay of LAD/CHC: Philly has a late trip to the west coast; Penny has historically been bad n the 2nd half but I think he gets it done here; Lincecum has struggled at times and I think the CHC at home is a good matchup for the Cubs. Hill also comes in having a ton of rest - I am hoping that is a good thing.

One unit risked, to win just over 1.6

STL +106: Looper is far better than Kim and maybe STL is finding their stride after last night

Cin/Atl O 10.5 -110: Neither pitcher is very good and neither pen is for that matter either;

Washington +102; Chase Play

Tex +135: Chase Play

CWS/Clev O 10 -115; Neither starter is very good, neither pen is very good and Cleveland can flat out score; Thome also seems to own Cleveland since not being resigned a number of years ago.

If there was any way to make that emoticon larger, it would help. Can't believe what happened last night. It was as if everything I saw....was backwards.

Why is LAD only -133 and the over under is 8.5? Durbins ERA is 11.56 I think? This smells fishy to me.

Parlay LAD-134, Oak-151

Something seems wierd about that LAD line though. I wiould not be surprised if something is going on there.

Just one tonight: Rockies-Pirates O9.5.

Shane Youman, who wasn't really even that good in AAA, has his magical mystery tour of two starts with few ER given up come to a rude end tonight, and Josh Fogg does his usual stuck pig impression. Both teams' taxed bullys from last night do little to staunch the bleeding, and crooked numbers abound.

After yesterday's sweep let's see what I can do today

Parlay of

Mil -140

SD -165

Seat -175

1 units to win 3.33

The brew crew is on a role; I like Peavy to right the ship and Guthrie is 0-2, 5.63 in his last four starts.

Hernandez is 3-0, 2.50 in his last five starts;

Tor/NYY O 9 -120

Pettitte is 1-2, 9.35 in his last five starts. Halladay is 1-2, 7.02 in his last three starts;

Over is 6-2-1 in last nine Bronx games.

CWS +145

Garland is 3-0, 1.71 in his last three road starts.

Byrd has 6.75 RA in his last six home starts. The tribe has won twelve of their last sixteen home games, but I fully expect the Whitesox to win this game.

Philly/LAD O9 -120

Five of last six Dodger home games went over the total.

Hendrickson is 1-4, 7.18 in his last seven starts. Durbin gave up six runs in 4.2 IP vs Mets in his only start, a 6-5 loss.

Minn -128;

Detroit has lost ten of last thirteen Robertson starts; Garza pitched well in his return to the rotation. I expect Minn. to win this evening.

LAD is only -133 has Hendrickson is no prom queen either - IMHO! I am staying away from the side, but like the over!

I like the Brewers and the Pads as wellGL AB

Per Rotoworld:

Jon Garland isn't guaranteed to start Tuesday because of flu-like symptoms.

If Garland needs to be scratched, the White Sox could go with Charlie Haeger in his place. The alternative would be to call up a starter in place of Nick Masset, who is getting shipped out.

:lmao:

I did go with listed pitchers so this would cancel the play; I think I would rather have that happen than have Garland pitch and stink!

I agree with this one. They are going to be into both bullpens early, Hendrickson does not go more than 5. Phillies are probably going to score some runs tonight and I have no confidence that they are going to shut the Dodgers down. This looks like it could be high scoring to me.

I don't think its that weird, how high can you make Hendrickson? He's not going to pitch more than 5 innings which will tax the Dodgers bullpen tonight. Philly could outhit the Dodgers and take this for sure. I dont' want to bet this side either.

Cubs -141- A little higher vig than we like to play but the Giants are dead right now, losers of 5 in a row and they are god awful on the road, 17-28 overall. Meanwhile the Cubs are winners of 5 of their last 6.
