Wow, I can't believe the reeling Dodgers are that high a price against the red hot D-backs. I see no pitching advantage in that one. Love that price.
Seriously, that line still boggles my mind. There was no pitching difference. Actually, I thought the D-backs had the slight advantage there, Davis had owned the Dodgers. Nice bail out for me after that Cubs BS.
Strictly in terms of Billingsley vs. Davis, I think Billingsley is a better pitcher. Not far superior because he still has control issues to work out, but Davis isn't that great.Of course, I whiffed all 3 games tonight.

I was talking about the matchup last night, not down the road. I agree, Billingsley should be better, but Davis had been pitching well, and I put a lot of weight into recency. Add to that the fact Davis has the Dodgers number (I think he's up to 30 innings of no ER or something) and the matchup for that night appeared even to me.Similarly, tonight again looks to be way overvalued. Dodgers are ice cold and they are laying that big a number? I don't see it. They could win, sure, but that's too high.

1-2: -1.12 Units; I was due for a losing day. At least CWS came through....

Light Card

Cleveland -127 to win 2 units ( Twice my usual bet - I really like Carmona and way he has been pitching lately)

a parlay risking one unit to make 17+:

LAD - 130

NYM -104

CWS/DET O 11

Balt -165

Bos -140

GLTA

I think there is a thread about NFL wagering in the FFA(?). I think that the Steelers are the play tonight and will likely be on em'

Small Plays for me today, as I am sick and tired of losing money on Baseball.

Brew Crew - Looking for the sweep of the Phils, and I think it happens.

Indians - Carmona has been money this year

Braves

All for $50.00

I am ice cold, so the smart thing to do is go OPPOSITE of all of the above picks

Good Luck to all

started off slow yesterday....had a nice night. Grand slam off Dotel to push the Col/Atl over really made my night....was a big play.Today, I like almost every road team :kicksrock:For now I just punched Cleveland -126 and o8.5 Cin@Pit (-105)May take a shot with Beckett and Haren here too.....g'luck

Man, the D-backs have just been printing money for me these last two and I will probably go back to the well again today. Been great value in this series. Penny has not been as sharp of late, with Webb just the opposite. Don't need to mention the direction the teams are taking again either. Dodgers, who were like 4th in the league going into this series with RISP, were 2 for 20 of late. The under looks decent too, but I was hoping for the hook.

Might play Boston as well...

Terrible day - flushed 3.54 units today

So let's see, the Brew Crew is up 6-1 in the 9th, and I'm thinking this one was in the bag. Ya know, the Brewers are one of the better home teams in the NL, and the Phils are just dreadful on the road. The Brewers have this closer named Cordero, who is one of the BEST closers in the NL. No problem holding a five run lead in the ninth right? So I came back like an hour late to see if my winnings had gone through and I don't see anything. So I'm like OK, lets look at the score. WTF!!! How do you give up 5 runs in the 9th!! :hot:The only thing that saved me yesterday was the Steelers game. Anybody else bet on the Brew Crew yesterday?

Anybody else bet on the Brew Crew yesterday?
You know, I almost put it in. ALMOST. Then I remembered how Cordero bent me over 2 different times a week ago against the Cardinals, and left it off. Between that and not getting my Cubs bet in, I went from a 2-2 day to a 2-0 day.

Today's Plays

Colorado - this has NOTHING to do with how the Brewers absolutely screwed me yesterday?

Yanks - They are starting to heat up folks, and I like their bats today!

Each for $100.00

G'Luck...

:goodposting: Man, was that series a joke. Great value in all 3. I also hit with Boston, lost on the Pads, and drunk dialed Tommy Glavine for a great day. I even hit the Steelers because someone here linked me to it, so thanks.Pretty hungover right now...does anyone wanna gift wrap this day game for me?

I kinda like the Yanks and the ovah but I am staying away........................ Both teams have won three straight and are hitting well. Pettite is capable of blowing up or pitching well. Litsch got lit up pretty good last time out against NYY. Will he rebound or is this a sign of things to come? I have no idea and I am staying away!

Toronto likes lefties even more than the Yanks like righties. It was a tough call but I took the Jays in thinking there was some value there. Litsch has been pitching pretty well. Also took the over, given that both teams have been hitting and such.2 units each... :lmao:

Boy was that frustrating. Numerous chances on both sides there, but no reason to rehash it. Some tidbits from the game to maybe keep in mind for the future:

I didn't know that Pettitte was so money in August. At 40 - 16, he has one of the best winning percentages EVER. Keep in mind he was a lot younger but the point is he definitely finishes with his best. Today, however, he was kinda lucky to only give up 3.

Litsch looked pretty good to me, lot of off-speed stuff...nice movement. He got kind of screwed when he got charged that 2nd and 3rd run but still, good effort.

The Yankees are hot but they haven't played any teams over .500 in quite some time. Surely, they're overvalued, especially now, and I would look to get some nice value going the other way up ahead. Cleveland is on deck.

Adding the Twinkies tonight to my card tonight. Silva has been solid at home, going 5-0 with a 3.38 ERA over his last 5 home starts. Cleveland meanwhile is 5-10 in their last 15. the Twinks are playing well enough at home, and I think they can get the "W" tonight!Twins - $100.00:unsure:

Tonight I like:

SD +118

O9.5 TB/Det

Bos -101

SF -200

(I know the price sucks on San Fran, and Washington's playing great of late, but the pitching matchup, the Barry watch, I just think SF really is the play here)

Also looking at:

o8.5 Bos/LAA

Houston (+103)

Wandy Rodriguez at home has been pretty solid

g'luck

CHC-109; I know that W. Rodriguez has some ridiculous Home/Away splits that make him a solid play at home, but Hill is no slouch either and has the much better lineup behind him, even without Soriano.

Mil/Col O 11.5 -110 With Vargas and Fogg on the hill, in the thin air, this OUGHT to sail over. Totals have been the worst part of my baseball wagering this summer so tread lightly here.

GLTA

Also going to play o11 in the Mil @ Col game.

yeah, number is high....but....

Vargas ®- fly ball/strikeout pitcher. Rockies can hit/put the ball in play

Milwaukee bullpen - Villanueva, Turnbow, Linebrink and Cordero all pitched an inning yesterday in an 11 inning game. Cordero - 40 pitches, probably not running out there tonight.

Fogg ® - not a good pitcher, and Brewers stack their lineup well against right handed starters.

Both starting pitchers have ERA's in the high 4's, and whips around 1.5

See no reason why one of if not both of these teams put up double digits

g'luck

0-3 (-3.00) before I left for the weekend, 15-22-1 (-7.77) overall. Now it's time to (hopefully) make back some of the money that I left in Montreal.

San Diego (+117) - San Diego's won 4 straight, St Louis has lost 5 in a row, San Diego's the better team overall. San Diego also has the positive number. Tonight's not a slam dunk, but I'll take it.

Los Angeles Angels (-108) - On the west coast with a starter making his first major league appearance in over a month. I'll fade the Sox.

Colorado Rockies (-123) - Colorado is actually a pretty good team at home and Fogg has pitched well his last couple of outings while Vargas got smacked around last time out and has an ERA over 6 his last seven starts.

Speaking of the Colorado over, I wonder if Hoard has any info on the O/U situation up there. Remember? They were putting the balls in a humidor and such, making unders a great bet for awhile. What has happened since, if anything? (this is sonny, btw) :)

SF -200(I know the price sucks on San Fran, and Washington's playing great of late, but the pitching matchup, the Barry watch, I just think SF really is the play here)
I don't know about that. A weak team with little offense, not playing well, and a young pitcher (albeit good) on the mound? That is a HUGE price to pay for that many question marks. And against a 6-game win streak to boot...

Results aside, I agree with this. I don't think SF wins this game more than 2 times out of 3.

Hitting two out of three ain't bad. Maybe I'm starting to heat up?

Today's Plays:

ChiSox - Westbrook has not recorded a road win this year at 0-3 with an ERA that is approaching 9. I'll take the UNDERDOG in this one!

Cubs - Cubbies have lost four of five, but they have the right pitcher on the mound tonight with Marshall.

O's - Baltimore is 27-24 at home this year, while Seattle is only 23-27 on the road this season.

Each game for 2 Units.

G'luck, and may the winning days for LB continue!

:lmao:
