GRIDIRON ASSASSIN

Footballguy
Let's get this baby started early.

The Packers don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning this game, let alone making the playoffs.

They had several months to plan for the last game and couldn't put up a single point AT HOME.

Bears 56, Packers 0

Favre leaves on a golf cart after his senses are pillaged from too much John Madden yakkage.

Reporter: Clubber, what's your prediction for the fight?

Clubber Lang: My prediction? (Looks into camera) PAAAAIIIIINNNNN.

Bears will send Favre to the retirement home in pieces. Bears 38, Slack 17

Packers get pounded to start the season, and the Packers will get pounded to finish the season.

Bears 427

Packers - 3

Packers 35, Bears 6

Bears will come to this game drunk already and not even thinking about GB. Donald Driver will actually throw Brett a TD pass. It will be a new years miracle.

The Packers will win in a low-scoring thriller. The Packers will seem to have the game won, and then make a mistake and put all fans on the edge of their seats. But since the Bears will be resting many of their players, the Packers will pull it off. Heck, the Lions almost beat the Bears, who were playing all of their defensive starters and played Griese, who may be better than Grossman. Packers 24, Bears 20. And the Packers will go the playoffs...The Giants, who can't get anything together, will lose to the Redskins. The Vikings will probably lose to the Rams, but that is okay because the Panthers will beat a resting Saints team. The Packers, because of a better conference record, will win the tiebreaker in a 3-way time between the Rams and Panthers. And by the way, I hope for the Bears' sake that they don't keep Grossman in too long. Why? Because Aaron Kampman will end his season and make for a pathetic playoffs showing for the Bears. Deja Vu? :o  :bag: :hot:

Bears would want (and will get) the V...since those haven't been all that frequent in their recent history.Seeing some Bears fans wish for Favre to go out on a golf cart is a bit...insane? I suppose that's frustration speaking at all the ### whoopings Favre has handed da Bears.

And just for full disclosure I'm a Pats fan living in Cheesehead land and find the whole Packers/Bears rivalry insufferable.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Pack takes the game and sneaks in the playoffs....Favre who loves playing at Lambeau south throws 3 TD's and the Pack wins 21-17..

Ok Grid...time to put up or shut up.

I'll take that spread of 56-0.

Packers +56 on the game. If the Bears cover, I'm gone from here for good. If the Bears don't cover -56, you are gone for good. You ready?

I havn't looked at the other Sunday games on the NFL schedule, but its unbelievable to me that the NFL bumped this game to primetime. It is completely meaningless to the Bears and will be for the Packers if the Giants win on Saturday.

Being possibly Brett's last game is also a factor. I'm glad they did it cause the Pack will know now by gametime if they have a playoff spot on the line. Should be fun.. :lmao:

Kampman and Jenkins knock out Rexie and Griese leaving them with Orton for the playoffs. They still manage to win this game, but lose their first playoff game in typical Bear style.

So... The Bears still suck.

I'm flying up Friday morning from South Florida to Chicago for the weekend and am psyched to have tickets to the game.

Prediction:

Lovie benches the starters in the third quarter and puts in Ditka, who, 1 on 11, dominates on both sides of the ball and sends Favre off in style.

Da Bears/Ditka - 77

Packers - 0

big ditka or mini ditka?

Brett Favre has proven one thing over the years. His legend only grows. Da Bears (sans Ditka) rest their starters in the 2nd half and Brett leads the Packers to yet another come from behind win. He will once again exhibit his greatness. At some time during the game Brett will flip a pass underhand and Madden will have an orgasm.

;)

I am guessing the Bears care more about staying as healthy as possible for the playoffs than about beating Green Bay again. The Bears will rest players. The Packers will win.

The Bears have NOTHING to play for - there is no way I'm going to be part of another guy's signature - or allow myself to be setup by some Packer/Favre lovers looking for ANY small victory.

Two questions.1) What do the Packer need from the Rams to get into the playoffs?2) Won't it be sweet, if the Packers do make it, for them to head down to Chicago in round 2 and pound the ever loving piss out of the Bank One Bears?

I'm not sure about all the other tie breakers but if it is just Pack/Rams @ 8-8 then the Rams go on the H2H tiebreaker.

They always forget me.
How could we forget someone with "limp" in their name??

If the Rams win, they we need a victory out of Atlanta or Carolina to create a 3 way tie, then we win that based on best conference record. We need the Giants to lose too however. If the G-Men win it gets real ugly and virtually impossible for the Pack to sneak in.

:bowtie:  At all the Fans of a 7-8 team, that has had a crappy season, talking crap to the fans of the 13-2 team, that has dominated the NFC.

How many sacks will Kampman get?

my guess: 1

How many will Mark Anderson get? (heard he may start in place of brown)

my guess: 2

Because Bears fans never talked smack when they were 4-12, right?
No, we mostly  in our :banned: at the twice yearly beating Favre would give us, but now that we do not suck anymore, and Farve is not the same player that he once was, we enjoy watching the Bears kick the crap outta GB and Favre. Did you see Favre after the first Bears game this year, he looked like he had just been in a train wreck. :lmao:It is going to happen to him again, this week. The Bears will pound him into retirement!!!

Well as a non-biased observer, the Packers are probably playing better now than in the first game of the year. Not sure Favre will be pounded into retirement but I don't really see the Packers winning.

Any game they had this year has to be better than the first game, the tenth was pretty awfull too, when the Pats pounded them 35-0. The last 2 weeks Farve has thrown 5 INT, has not thrown a TD and he has had a passer rating of 32.9 @ DET and 52.5 @ Vikings. They may be better than the first week, but they are still playing like crap.

I'll take a 7-8 record. Even ending at 7-9 isn't too bad. That's enough to make jwvdcw run the Boston Marathon. :moneybag:
