***Official Big Brother Thread*** No Spoilers Starts 7/6 (3 Viewers)

Totally agree.  Watching Alex jump with excitement every time douce bag Josh starts banging pots and pans is disgusting.  I may dislike Alex more than Paul.
This group makes it REALLY hard to root for someone.  I don't want to go full snowflake on this but there are a lot of really mean people in that place.  Watching Alex take such enthusiastic pleasure in watching people get bullied really rubs me the wrong way.

I like a good underdog story and would be full board with rooting for Cody if he had ANY social game at all, but the dude has no idea how to play this game and is completely unlikable.  Most in the house are playing checkers, some are playing chess, Cody is playing rock-em sock-em robots.

Not to continue on, but I think that is a glimpse of society.  People no long have common courtesy.  It is exaggerated in this game.  Jody starts in power, then the next week they lose the power and can't handle it.  Cody flipped on his own group and ended up nominating Xmas.  But last night they complained that xmas made it personal and came after them.  No wait a minute you actually did start it.

Small point, but Josh going back in with a witty retort he didn't think of himself minutes after the actual conversation was just plain dumb.  Unless it rolled off his tounge the second Jessica was on him about spelling, the moment passed.  This season is hard to watch with all of the childish games being played.  I'm not sure how Kevin hasn't self evicted yet.

JERK STORE!

This made me laugh from reddit:

Paul: to josh and xmas “My goal is to get one of you out this week”

xmas and josh: “Okay just know we’ll always have your back!”

Matt: "Would it better for you if we self-evicted?"

Liked Jessica;thought she had good intuition for the game, but she and Cody are absolutely awful at playing the game. They sat there in their pity party claiming to be better but they are out of the game. Results don't lie.

Just because she wasn't JOSH'S target doesn't mean she wasn't still the house's target.  Josh never quite got that distinction.  Paul would never support a swing to Elena over Jessica, and the house would side with Paul before it would side with Josh.  If he REALLY wanted Elena out, the only thing he could've done was not have Jessica up there.
Umm josh didn't put Jessica up.

What I find odd with Jessica is, she can DO A LOT BETTER THAN CODY!!!!!

I've been out with a stomach virus, so I've been re-watching Season 2 on Youtube. I'm not sure I recommend it. I think I had an enforced bed time when it was airing. The youngest HG was 29, and several had kids. We're really close to the first child of a previous HG appearing. I know there have been some father/daughter stuff in the same season. but I'm talking someone who was 2 when their mom was on BB. Although, there are only one or two token old people now, so maybe I'm wrong.

The first couple of weeks were focused on a cast member being gay and how that would play out with everyone else. I can't even imagine that storyline at this point. The DRs used to be 100 times better. There have certainly been a lot of changes. I think I like the older show better, but I know that there's no way you could really do it that way again. I think the only improvement has been the POV.

Weird. I don't recommend it unless you love old commercials (STAY TUNED FOR A BRAND NEW EPISODE OF WALKER, TEXAS RANGER).

You're right...I forgot she ended up there as part of the Temptation thing.  Agree 100% that she can do a lot better than Cody.

You can't win BB without a social game.  You don't need THE BEST social game, but Cody literally doesn't have one.  The fish in the HOH room have a better social game than Cody.

Because 60 Minutes ran long this last episode it cut off my DVR the last 20 mins. I saw up to Cody trying to lose the house blueprint competition but failed in his attempt and the big muscle guy winning safety.  What happened after that?

Matt lost so hes up, along with the cowboy and elena.  Paul weaseled out of going up as a pawn of course.  You didn't miss much

Elena and Jason went up on the block.

Cody told Elena he'd "absolutely" pull her off the block if he wins veto, which sets up a house guest choice decision for Elena -- Mark (who already is safe) or Cody (who would play his ### off for veto).

Regardless of how he's chosen to play, if Cody can pull off the veto win....the house will have to vote out either Matt, Cowboy, or a 3rd nominee not named Mark/Elena/Cody.  That's really where the show needs to end up going into the double eviction (to keep watching interesting, IMO).  Paul could be going home as soon as Thursday if someone convincing gets in Alex's ear.

What percentage of comps do you think you'd be good at?  I'm not sure I'd even be good at half.  I would not be a physical comp dominator and remembering things from yesterday is difficult enough for me.  Maybe it's different in the house because there is literally nothing to do.  Mentally studying who gets nom'd, when they get nom'd, who plays in comps, who wins what comps, what days things happen on, etc etc, would get very old to me and I'd probably just decide to wing it at some point.

For the last comp, I'd have been like Alex counting the times you heard a sound and their order, etc.....I have no idea how some of them did so well remember where they were at when hearing the sound.  I don't even think Mark missed one.  Nobody could have thought about that before the comp, right?

I am pretty active about checking the schedule of my DVR partly because it is pretty full and I don't want to lose past stuff I have taped.  So when I come across the sunday edition of big brother I extend the record time by at least 30 minutes.  I've been burned before.

Yep, will happen pretty regularly Sunday nights with NFL starting now. I've changed my settings for this season pass.

During football season I record an extra hour.

It's too bad Cody decided to just start talking to people on a game (Alex and Jason) and social (Kevin) level now.
"I can't stand being in the presence of any of these yahoos in this house".... I'm going to guess that you weren't really meant for Big Brother.

  Elena takes the money, breaks her deal, and ignores the veto. And they're going to let her get away with it because Paul is threatened by Cody.

These people suck.

Most boring season evah....  SO predictable especially if the sheep let Paul and Alex pick them off one by one....

While not popular with this crowd, why would you go against Paul until you have to? I dont believe Paul will make it to the end.

You'd need a side alliance to gang up on Paul as soon as Cody's gone. But Paul makes everyone feel like he's their best friend and wants to go to the end with them.

You would need to do it after the veto comp so he couldn't fight his way out.

Like yesterday...if it was almost anyone but Alex, I think they would have strongly considered it.

On a side note, I wonder what 1 on 1 conversation, if any, Cody had with Matt.  Cody seemed dead set talking to Alex that Matt was going to use the veto on someone other than Matt.  I also thought it was strange how they invited Cody up to the HOH room party.  If I was Cody, that would lead me to believe Matt was going to take himself off the block.

seems super weird to me when these people act like 5 grand is so much money, its like 3k after taxes. you just showed everyone you can't be trusted and po'd the hoh at the same time.  Wasn't there a trip she could have taken where she didn't make a promise?

I've been saying that for weeks. Zero chance he makes it, go with the flow right now.  Yea its boring TV but who cares if you are one of them.

I feel like there was a huge opportunity this week to get an alliance going between Cody, Kevin, Mark, Elana, Matt and Jason.

I'm fully prepared to be let down with the DE tonight.  Even if Mark or Elana wins and puts Paul up I'm not sure they could get the votes to evict.  Thats sad.

+1

As the game has been played to date, Paul is obviously in the driver seat, but things rarely shake out this way.  If Paul survives tonight and Cody goes home, then one of Paul's disciples will have to be targeted and things should hopefully get interesting again.

Mark and Elena seem like they're clearly the next 2 unless something else happens.  Kevin likely 3rd.

Would love to see Kevin win HOH.

Matt was never going to go against Raven's wishes, and the insanity between Raven, Cody, and Jessica went way too far to ever ally up.  That's the unfortunate genius of the horribleness Paul egged on between the houseguests - even if they somehow realize what's going on, they've been way too awful to each other to ever reverse course on the Jessica/Cody hatred.  They'd rather get rid of them and stop remembering all the stuff that happened between everyone.

With the double eviction tonight, I feel this is a great chance to get Paul out.  I also don't see Paul going to the end.  What really bothers me (STILL) this season is why is Christmas STILL there?

I would assume the plan tonight is for Elena to get voted off but I can see the strings being pulled by Paul and he gets the group to take out Cody.

I'd like to see someone like Josh or Mark or Matt win POV on Friday's show and the group tells Paul it's HIS TURN to be the pawn and ooooops...ba bye Pauly

:lmao:  Cody saying he is going to marry Jessica. i like his hubris saying how crazy and bad the rest of the house was. Dude knew the girl for 30 some days  :loco:

That was pretty much what I expected to happen.  Glad Mark was able to save himself.

Its almost like these HG's have no idea how to play this game.  That was such a golden opportunity for Jason to backdoor Paul, but I honestly don't think that thought crossed anyone's mind last night.  I know the HGs like Paul, but damn, they have to realize they need to get him out.

The Derrick Special should be good tonight.  He's been trashing most of these guys on twitter this year.

She can't win anything physical at this point, so that's one reason.  She never should have been allowed back in the game.  Threw that HOH in the end too, she knows she's not a target yet because she can't compete in half the comps.

Side note re: HOH comp, still pretty sad nobody helped Xmas out, like hand her the stick, pick up the disc for her, whatever.

Side note #2, Paul's name took a helluva long time to get called out too.  Sometimes when you wait for the right moment to do something, you realize you already missed the opp.

seemed like Christmas intentionally threw that final HOH round, but I could be wrong.
I thought the same thing.  She did as good as you could on her first 2 shots.  It totally looked like she mailed that last one in. .

Elena and Jason with two of the absolute worst speeches ever last night.

Jason will look back soon on that HOH being a waste.

yea even I was like ok come people you can make him play at least, quite being that scared Paul is going to flip out. Its like they were trying to hand it to him which isn't surprising with the way Paul has worked them over.  Was pulling for Marc there but he blew it.

I am actually hoping the producers do some meddling to shake this up some otherwise like someone else said its just going to be Marc, Kevin, then probably matt or raven next.

Would have also put Cody and Paul in the jury house alone together.  That alone should have been reason to do it.
