***Official Call of Duty: Ghosts Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Sentry is okay - I like the three-missile kill streak.

Kill streaks have been deemphasized in this version which I'm good with - it's much more of a shooting game.

 
They brought back the feeling of Black Ops 1 IMO. I can see myself playing this game a lot. Up the health just a little bit and it is a pretty good game. There are going to be annoying things, oracle and the scope that is like the oracle. Snipers are still annoying, but they are less of a problem than MW3 or Blops2.

My favorite gun at the moment is the R5. Not great in close quarters, but for the longer maps (almost all maps) it is fantastic. I have heard the SC-2010 is very similar. I haven't played around with the SMG's much, but I want to try out the MTAR.

Maps- I can see some maps being hated, but I like most of them. Flooded is bad. I haven't played Chasm or a few others that most people hate. I really like prison break. Stonehaven is growing on me. I don't like the layout of Storm Front, they could easily eliminate 50% of that map.

Just my random thoughts.

I did. I don't regret it either. It is a lot better than the last two offerings.

Youtube the issue. A few years back I had the same problem and prolonged the xboxs life by about 6 months until it really died by explosive.

I have played Domination almost all the time since they started this series and I cant figure this games version out. Why do you lose a flag twice? Why are there 3 colors now instead of just 2?

 
Years of watching Goat and Ren videos made BLOPS2 probably the most fun COD so far but man I'm getting hammered in Ghosts. Getting the right perks and better gun have helped. Going to try stripping out the secondary and lethal for another perk and see if that helps.

The third color is a neutral. So if the opponent gets 50% of the flag but then dies it goes to a neutral flag that no team owns.

Having lethal and tactical can help, but I don't use them at all. Extra perks is the way to go. Also, you have to make sure they fit your play style. One that is a must for me is Marathon. I traverse the middle and open areas a lot and if I run out of sprint I am a sitting duck. Unlimited sprint is extremely important to me.

With all the campers and the quick TTK my two musts are Quickdraw and Agility.

Camping is out of hand right now, especially in Stormfront where everyone just lies prone in the grass all day. Can not stand that map.

 
Side note: If my xbox is indeed shot, then I may just quit the game all together (for a good while). I just don't want to buy another 360 with the One approaching, nor do I want to shell out the $$ for the One.

Thanks! Domination in this game seems so unorganized! I hate that you dont get extra points for capping a eutral flag for capture kills

 
Has anyone gone through the campaign and had trouble on the aircraft carrier? My gun goes invisible, as well as some of the characters and it freezes if I get killed.

Just use a Marksman rifle Theyre 2 shot kills and it doesnt require an attachment to be used. Most people hate semi-auto anyway

One thing they need to take out of the game are the AI Call outs. It's not cool that I can flank someone only to have the damn game say "enemy in the lumber yard" and have someone kill me, that's some BS

I believe it only happens if the enemy sees you. It's supposed to combat people not using their mics - I don't believe it just randomly calls you out if no one is around. I don't like them anyway - I hear "enemy in the open" and I start looking around only to get shot from where I was already looking from before.

I dont know why it happens but woul love to know why. I was sniping on that Factory map (dont know the name) and heard them say "enemy in the lumber yard". I ran to the back and sure enough they were there. I guess I just dont see the point in any of that :shrug:

If it gets to the point were I can quit cold turkey like that, I will. I was able to play 3 games last night before it crashed. I'm going to do some engineering on it tonight.

I'm pretty terrible at this game, can't even hold a 1.4 k/d but I love it a lot more than the last couple offerings where my k/d was significantly higher. Fun game.

I dont forsee myself having time to get online until the first week of December if that soon. I might have a small window on Saturday night. But when I get home from the field I am so beat that I usually fall asleep on the couch.

Try raising the sensitivity and putting quick draw on all your classes. I realized my sensitivity was too low yesterday (was on the default settings) and raising it from 3 to 4 made an immediate difference. The previous 2 COD's were all about connection. This one is all about reaction time.

I have it on 7 too and I agree about the fun factor. It is back. I haven't felt it since Blops1. Playing for 3 hours feels like 20 minutes. (Maybe because we only actually play for 20 minutes due to the wait time in the lobby.)

I think that is still a byproduct of the PS3/Xbox and modded controllers. Will be interesting to see if it is still there this weekend with the new controllers

The other day White Monkey and I got put into a lobby with Optic Scumpii but unfortunately he left immediately after the game started...I presume because the map was f'n Stormfront.

Yeah, just a random join in progress. I didn't even see MoJ in the game until just before he got the KEM strike. I saw Dying Solider shortly after I spawned in.

MoJ finished 47-3-7, not sure about Dying Soldier. I was 9-6-3 I believe.Luckily, I was on their team.

His connection in that vid is ridiculous.

 
Stonehaven and Prison Break are easily my favorite maps. Anything else, I can live without. Strike Zone is too small and everyone spawns on top of each other. Haven't tried Free Fall yet.

 
Went back and played Blops II last night by mistake (disc is Ops, Ghosts is a file)... Blops looked almost cartoonish to me after 8+ days of Ghosts. But the ability to join, invite or PM was refreshing after Ghosts. But it was nice to run and gun again and I will never ever complain about camping in Blops again after Ghosts. lol

I'm hoping that with the release of PS4 the JOIN icon will be permanently unlocked. It sucks not being able to join a lobby with friends in it and have to invite/get invited all the time.
