Saying a sprained ankle. Being evaluated during the game.

On a side note, that was some bush league #### by Girardi asking for a replay to call Edwin out. Even the ump saw he was in pain and couldn't stay on the base. What a cheap way to end the inning.

It’s part of the game now. Every single manager, including yours would make that challenge. Especially in a playoff game.

Yep. Call it like What see it. Guy ion the ground in pain. Yousee his ankle bend in a way its not meant to, but he's more concerned about a cheap out. Bush league, IMO. He came off the bag due to the injury. Had he over ran the bag or slid through it, then yes he's out. No argument from me.

Don't disagree, and that's one part of the game's progression that I disagree with. For you over run or slide thru and come off the base, then yes it's an out. But when you see an injury and take advantage of it, I call it bush league. YMMV.

I'd like to like to think  some managers wouldn't do that on an injured player, including Tito. But the only one I've seen do it was Girardi.

I’ll be honest, even though it benefited my team I hate it too. It’s not in the spirit of the rule. But I stand by my post. Every single manager is taking that out. They’d be a fool not to, and Francona is probably the best around right now.

Agree about the spirit of the rule, and I understand where you're coming from. :hifive:

We won't know how he'll handle it until Tito's in that position. Hopefully you're wrong, but it is what is.

Back to the game, hoping Clevinger can hold your boys in check until we start hitting again. It's his time to prove why Tito put him in the BP.

Nice call by the ump there and way to not challenge
To overturn that, they'd have to have crystal clear evidence the ball touched the knob of the bat first, right?  I agree your idiot manager should have challenged it, but I'm not sure it changes anything.

Sorry Peak, that's not bush league.

He rolled it, immediately came off the bag for a brief moment, then as he was coming back down to the bag he touched the glove first, then he was back on the bag which is when he called time out and it was granted.  He was not called out because 2 or 3 seconds after the slide he rolled off the bag in pain and was tagged by the fielder.

Looked crystal clear to me but yeah whining more about the moron manager

Def hit the knob.  I saw nothing that showed it didn't graze his red batting glove first.

Looked like your manager got some bad advice based on what they showed a few minutes after the homer.

Why are you being such a ####? I didn't come in here talking smack. My team just suffered a brutal loss and you gotta kick me when I'm down. Like I said real ####### classy.
:lmao:  I’m kicking you when you’re down? Again, YOU came into this thread - for the first time ever - to defend your manager. You didn’t think someone like @Peak wouldn’t call Girardi out for going for the cheap out?

BTW, Yankees fan are the last people in any line where class is being discussed. NY is the epitome of classless douchebaggery.

Run along and lick your wounds. Maybe your mom will give you an extra juice box and a kiss for your bruised ego.

Show some class like your manager. I came into this thread because I saw peak call that Bush league when it clearly wasn't and everyone agreed. Karma is a ##### and my mom is dead so thanks again classless.

First, I apologize for the mom crack as I had no idea.

Second, I agree with you that Girardi should gone for the easy out when EE got hurt and that he was a dummy for not challenging the HBP on Chiz. My only point was that coming here to discuss it probably wasn’t the best idea.

so glad the Tribe came away with a win. The Yankees are solid top to bottom in their lineup.  Being up 2-0 after a subpar Kluber outing is huge. Go Tribe!

:lmao:  Karma is indeed a #####.

But first, sorry to hear about your mom.

Second, looks like I missed some fun last night. My son had a ball game of his own last night, and we left for the field at 8-3 thinking game over man. That comeback was crazy, and I can't get enough of the replays!

No idea why Girardi didn't call for a reply on Chiz at bat. Seems like something of a no brainer from his perspective, you know, as an ex-catcer and all.  :lmao:

Great fight from the Tribe to get back into this game. Love reading the all hands on deck approach with extra innings. Even Bauer put cleats on in case Tito needed a PH or extra fielder.

Looking forward to the sweep in NYC. If last night doesn't deflate the Yankees, I don't know what will. Girardi has this team painted into a corner.

Ah, so many places to go...

Last night was one of the most emotionally draining games I've ever watched. I started getting zoned out once it 8-3, but Lindor's grand salami brought me back in and the BRUUUUUUUUUCE homer got me fist bumping in the living room. I started getting concerned again when we were burning through the bully. Jackson stealing second brought me out of my seat. And then Gomes? Watching that ball scream down the LF line and I was up and screaming and yelling and when AJax finally scored, I collapsed to the ground. I was literally wrung out. As DDP says at the end of his yoga workouts, "you're a dead man..." That was me.

As an added plus, all the butthurt, "26 rings baby" spouting Yankees fans are bawling and calling for Girardi's head this am. :lmao:

Is it bad that I'm watching the Yankees post game show repeating on the Yes Network?

These reporters are ripping Giardi and questioning every reason as to why he didn't challenge the Chiz at bat.  :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

From the Indians twitter account:

Update on EE from Terry:

Feeling much better. Likely won't start tomorrow, but hasn't been ruled out from appearing in the game.
