Did Manziel really need to scramble around and run into his own lineman on that TD? The guy was open as soon as he snapped the ball.
You think?
Just checking. My Twitter feed seems way more impressed with the play for some reason.
They just showed the replay, the DB was on #15 and then came off of him to cover the Manziel run.
I see what you mean. It wouldn't have been a walk in TD on the quick throw.

Doesn't seem like it but since you said something, I made sure to check that when they showed it again. Looked like good coverage until Manziel took off toward the line.

@slmandel: Worth noting: A&M did not finish last in the SEC in passing defense. That would be the team playing in the BCS title game.

Good thing they aren't playing a good pass offense Monday.
Sure, Now flip it around. You have a good rush defense, but whose rushing offense did you shut down which compares with Auburn?
They didn't play anybody that good. But all 11 of their defensive starters will likely be drafted. That ain't happening with AU.
Is this really true? That's pretty extraordinary.
Have almost no internet connection where I'm at but there was an article that stated 21 out of 22 starters will likely be drafted including all defense.

This might be the worst bowl season ever. And A&M is going to murdify Duke tonight.
The ESPN ticker has been saying A&M is predicted to win by an "average of 4". I've been thinking they need to re-calibrate their prediction calculators.
ACC Coastal might be the worst BCS division ever. VT and Miami were slaughtered, Duke is about to be, GT was mediocre and Pitt was Pitt. Gross.
Update?
Duke started getting slaughtered not long after you talked #### about it. Turns out, college football games have four quarters.

In the second half, 35 to 10.

After you stopped paying attention it appears.

LSU just went right down the field without throwing a pass. A little disappointed in that to be honest. I'd like to see Landry and Beckham one more time before the head to the NFL.

By my calculation this is how the conferences break down so far.

American 1-2

ACC 3-6, 0-3 vs. top 25

B1G 0-2

Big 12 2-1, 1-1 vs. top 25

Independent 2-1

MAC 0-4

Mt. West 3-2, 1-1 vs. top 25

PAC12 6-2, 1-0 vs. top 25

SEC 3-0

Sun Belt 1-0

USA 2-3

You won't find too many bowl games with two teams as steeped in tradition, as we have here in the Heart of Dallas Bowl today. This is an instant classic.
