Official Corey Coleman - WR - Patriots (2 Viewers)

If he stays on the Browns there just won't be enough volume assuming they draft their QB1 of the future and run him out there in year one. 55/750/4 would be aspirational.
But if they trade him and Gordon gets suspended, we'll be calling them fools for counting on Gordon

The Cleveland Plain Dealer believes the Browns would trade Corey Coleman for a "decent offer."

There was talk of Coleman's Browns future being "uncertain" after the 2017 season, but he's had a quiet offseason. The Browns have since acquired Jarvis Landry and taken a draft flier on the talented-but-troubled Antonio Callaway. Coleman should still get an opportunity to make an impact this season, but he's officially on the spot. If Coleman was going to get traded, it probably would have happened before the draft.

As an owner I would love that.  Eagles fan, not so much.   Still think Coleman has game.  Just needs to stop falling on his damn hand

I thought the same at first but I'm not even sure BB would have won a game with that team.

Their history has almost no continuity. It might be the right call in a pathetic way
I don't like Hue Jackson and most teams should fire a coach with so few wins over two seasons now.

However before the Browns hired Jackson they had been changing their head coach every single year for over a decade. The team gets no continuity doing that to even be able to evaluate their players because the system keeps changing every year and players fit those systems differently.

By keeping the same coach it at least lets them evaluate their players on more of an apples to apples basis and determine if players are improving or not. You can't do that clearly if you keep changing the head coach all the time.

There is at least some organizational clarity now from this decision. I expect Hue Jackson to be canned after this season. Maybe Todd Haley takes over the HC position for them after this happens?

Everything hinges on Mayfields development so you want to have some continuity with that to evaluate his progress. Who knows? Maybe the Browns win some games this year and do well enough to save Jacksons job.

Would love to see Dallas try to trade for this kid.  Get a cheap look at him with Dak. If he pans out sign him longterm. If he doesn't let him walk.

I pity the WR trying to make his mark in this league with Dak throwing to him.

I'm telling you, this kid can BALL.

THIS is your gamechanging buy low.
Yeah but at what price?  Let’s say you had to give up a rookie pick for him.  What range of a pick would you be comfortable giving up?  He’s a tough one.  He’s had some flashes, but I could very easily see him being nothing better than his teams WR3 for the rest of his career.  What the Browns have done at WR in the past 5 months is pretty damning IMO.

You basically have to trust the Browns as talent evaluators to sell him right now.  Gordon was poo as the #1 last year too.  And we know for sure he can play.

I bet almost anyone here could get Coleman for a mid 2nd rounder.

He wont be in Cleveland very long, I imagine (which I dislike as a fan of him)... But I'm telling you, 2 fluke accidents be damned, this kid is special.

He'll show it somewhere.

I feel like I'm telling everyone to buy on Crabtree again.

Hard to take any discussion about QB play seriously when it is found in a Brown's thread, know what I mean?
As an owner, I wish he could get out of Cleveland.   Unfortunately, he almost has to fail for that to happen.   I'm on the fence...  Injury history but has shown flashes in limited opportunity; Lots of competition for targets.  Of course, Gordon could screw up too.  The more I think about it, Njoku is the guy I think I have the most confidence in from that group.

I agree- he has such a strong prospect profile and has shown flashes. He still has a chance to have a good career. My one worry is there have been the rumblings that his personality and work ethic might be a negative.

The Chronicle-Telegram's Scott Petrak reports "doubts remain" about Corey Coleman's work ethic.

Coleman has been injured his first two seasons, but he's done little when on the field — averaging 38 YPG and struggling with drops. With the additions of Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway, it's a make-or-break training camp for Coleman. We wouldn't be surprised if Coleman gets traded before Week 1.

I've seen half a dozen pieces now saying he could be traded. Only the local Cleveland guys saying it, though, as far as I can tell. Still hoping he can emerge but it doesn't look like it.

When two of your big three are a failed drug test (Gordon) or boneheaded move (Callaway) away from taking a year off, getting rid of him is a little risky.

We are talking about the Browns after all...

Would love to see a trade to Dallas or even New England.

Kind of like the DAL D line?  Why are you in here trolling?  Because right now this has been one of the few teams with less playoff wins than DAL over the past 2 decades?

Trolling? I'm not trolling anything, just making a point. And if you're comment is based on the fact you think I'm a Cowboy's fan, you simply couldn't be more wrong. I was born and raised in Ohio.

Do you have anything substantial to say, or are you just going to keep claiming I'm trolling? No one else seemed to have trouble understanding my point. Not sure why you have such an inability to comprehend it.

Still available in the 21st round of my best ball slow draft................also went undrafted in my FFPC draft tonight.  So much potential though...........

2016 draft starting to look like a train wreck for most everyone's top rated WR's Treadwell, Coleman and Doctson was most people's 1-2-3 rated WR's in some order.

Just got him for pretty cheap imo. 12 team TE premium ppr, QB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLX, FLX

Sent D. Pettis, M. Andrews, 2019 2nd (late)

Received K. Rudolph, C. Coleman

Browns coach Hue Jackson said Corey Coleman would start if Josh Gordon isn't available.

Coleman has the early edge over rookie Antonio Callaway. That could change with Callaway healthy after missing minicamp. Even with Gordon's status up in the air, Coleman is a candidate for a preseason trade.
