Official Corey Coleman - WR - Patriots (3 Viewers)

Stock up or down if RG3 is hurt?
Tough to answer since we never really got a shot to see the Baylor RG III/Coleman/Josh Gordon connection in action and we may never see that combo in action unfortunately.

We saw the deep bucket accuracy with Pryor and with Coleman, to a smaller degree, but we never got to see them all together.

Right now, Coleman is a rookie with that 'deer-in-headlight' look.  He's swimming, he needs to calm down and I'm sure he'll be fine but he is a rookie that needs to develop.  In August he said he was pressing in his first preseason action and he was invisible in that game.  Yesterday he didn't do anything positive until he caught that deep ball.  Later he had one more catch but I'm not sure if he caught that before or after Robert got hurt.

RG III was working with the starters all preseason and TC so McCown wasn't getting much work with Coleman but I wouldn't worry.

Last year, Josh clicked on the deep ball with speedster Travis Benjamin.

The problem Josh has is he throws his body around and tends to get hurt a lot just like RG III.

Not happening unless he benefits from some kind of broken coverage. He. Looks. Completely. Lost.

Amazing what playing with a competent (even if it's just barely) quarterback will do for you
That didn't last long.  McCown injured his left arm and is questionable to return.

Enter 3rd round rookie QB Cody Kessler who hasn't gotten any work and didn't look good in the preseason.  No backup QB is active after Kessler.

Of course my opponent has this dude who scored 2 TDs for the first time in the same game in the history of the Browns. And actually started him.

RG3 might be out till week 10-12

McCowns injury feared to be "significant"

Kessler has to equal a serious downgrade to all Browns. Too bad...

This guy Milkman offer any advice on other players? Might be a good leading indicator for breakout status

That stiff arm... Mmmmmm

This guy plays SO SO angry. Steve Smiff Sr Jr

Week 2 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars

Wide Receiver: Corey Coleman

Corey Coleman, WR, Cleveland Browns
5 Receptions, 104 Yards, 8 Targets, 2 TouchdownsPerformance: 98, NEP: +13.19

Displaying some incredible athleticism, Coleman put on a clinic against the Baltimore Ravens' defensive backs in this matchup. Coleman was able to make some spectacular plays and ended up finishing with a 98 performance rating, per numberFire Live. He was able to pick up 104 yards on 5 receptions and 2 touchdowns.

Josh McCown targeted Coleman 8 times this week and hit him with ease for a 31-yard touchdown strikefor his first NFL touchdown. On 3rd-and-9, McCown was able to let Coleman work through his route and get behind Shareece Wright for the first score of the game. On his next catch, he was able to stiff armJimmy Smith and make a diving extension for the goal line, displaying his athleticism. By the time the game finished, Coleman eclipsed the 100-yard mark and moved himself into top-10 among wide receivers in Total NEP.

Finishing this week as the WR4, Coleman was able to put on display why he was a first round talent. Unfortunately, McCown's injury is supposedly serious in nature, and if either Cody Kessler or Charlie Whitehurst are called upon to quarterback this team, it may put a cap on Coleman's potential.

Usually a 4-6 week deal, yes? Wonder if they'll IR him?

No idea on time frame, no real details being reported other than his hand got stepped on. Rapaport said a couple weeks but he has no idea, MKC broke the story and she does not know but obviously hard to play his position until he fully recovers.

I just snatched Miami D in a couple leagues. They are going to stack the deck. Not that they weren't already going to do that with Kessler, but as a Cleveland homer...this is brutal. I would think that Crowell is a no start. Maybe Prior or Johnson in a pinch, but I am far away from that offense until Gordon gets back.

Is Coleman worth stashing with Kessler behind center and Gordon returning?

I dropped Coleman for Enunwa this morning, it's a shallow bench league with only 7 slots 1 IR - only able to keep 5 WR and 5RB.

I can't afford to wait it out not knowing what Coleman's slice of the pie will look like when Gordon gets back... and who knows what the pie will look like in the first place. I don't think it's going to be pretty.

I don't like having to drop him especially after how dominate he looked, but in a league like this I'd rather not miss out on a serviceable replacement if he comes back and isn't getting the attention he got last week.

Volatile WR3 with high upside when he returns this year. WR1 from 2017-2022. Hope you already have him on your dynasty bench because his price just skyrocketed with the regrettable Gordon news.

just grabbed him off the FA list, so hopefully he feels much better in week 5. ;)

Still - seems like a good wait & see pickup.  My other league's rosters are far too small to do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but if Coleman played in week 2, then was out for 4 weeks, I think that means he'd be back week 7.
If he's "back" in 4-6, then he could come back in week 6.

If hes "out" 4-6, he'd play week 7 at the earliest.

you're not incorrect - the dude asked when the earliest he could be back would be.

More likely its week 8.

I have Kenyan Drake wasting a spot on my bench and I'm considering dropping him for Coleman.  I think Coleman could be worth stashing especially since I don't have to worry about Gordon coming back any more.

I would drop drake for Coleman in a heartbeat. What are you still doing reading this?!?!  Pick him up!!
