Another very key point.Of course. But there may be more limits of what you can buy and reduced store hours. For those who don't want to be out there, it's important to them.

You don't think if they're short staffed that hours wouldn't change? Costco here closed 4 times yesterday here. They couldn't handle the capacity. Managers were out helping because of people being out.The only reason to limit what people can buy is to stop people from buying more than they need.
Reducing store hours would increase the number of people in the store any given hour. There is no way in hell they would do that.
To give themselves time to restock and sanitize the stores. Very reasonable and sound planning.
Giant and Wegmans are 24 hours here. Until now...Link
Exactly, I agree. To give themselves time to restock and sanitize the stores. Very reasonable and sound planning.
I’m sorry you have cancer but I’m glad you added it to the story because I was wondering why your mother loves you more than your sister. Be safe!my mother ordered my grandmother, myself, and herself quarantined to her house no visitors. she was a nurse for 30 years, so i can't argue. my sister can bring supplies that's it. to be fair i have the best immune system of the three of us and i have stage iv cancer. after having a fever of 102.4 last night, i am not arguing any lingering arguments are gone

They started disembarking Sunday, and all the passengers seemed to have been off by Thursday. They are quarantined in various spots - I know CA, TX, and GA all have some of them, maybe other places, too. The conditions at their quarantines, particularly in GA, sound horrible. It's all been a huge mess.BTW wtf happened with the second cruise ship. That deal just vanished from the news.
From the first article:
The next few articles are about the same chain.SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A grocery store chain with more than 400 stores in Texas and Mexico is reducing store hours in an effort to reduce hoarding of groceries and supplies and to give it time to restock as shoppers purchase large quantities of groceries and cleaning supplies.
They can't handle the capacity..... OF HOARDERS!!!!!You don't think if they're short staffed that hours wouldn't change? Costco here closed 4 times yesterday here. They couldn't handle the capacity. Managers were out helping because of people being out.
I sincerely hope you're right and I'm mistaken. From the first article:
The next few articles are about the same chain.
There is one for Giant Eagle, reducing its hours to 7 am to 10 pm. So they won't be open during the night anymore, probably because shelves were empty from hoarders and needs restocked, just like the Texas chain.
Couldn't find anymore chains on the next page or two.
So the whole point of the reduced hours is BECAUSE OF HOARDERS!!!!!
OMG! OMG! OMG! Stores are reducing hours to recover their shelves from the hoarders.... I bet "stock up".

I just found an article about Wegmans. From:https://www.northcentralpa.com/news/local/wegmans-giant-stores-temporarily-reducing-store-hours-in-middle-of/article_fd36e8f6-6590-11ea-bb92-1b4b697c4245.htmlGiant and Wegmans are 24 hours here. Until now...
8 am - 11 pm
So they as well did it to recover from hoarders. The changes were made in order to allow more time for employees to clean and re-stock shelves,
Everyone is off. The crew were being quarantined in there. Ship leaves tomorrow. I'm sure we'll hear more about it on the local news as it departs.BTW wtf happened with the second cruise ship. That deal just vanished from the news.
Publix is closing at 8pm today. Instead of 11pm. At noon in North Miami, they were already out of tuna and rice, for example. Still plenty of most fruits and vegetables.Stores are already reducing hours.
What a ####.Also, this dum-dum was showing symptoms for the last five days of a Celebrity Silhouette cruise that ended March 6, flew home, and then got tested (positive).
I’m almost more afraid of this than the virus.I'm expecting a coronavirus related death in my area in the next few days. A few more days stuck at home with my wife and kids and someone is gonna die....
Not really. He went town to town on a road trip buying them all up. He could do the same thing selling them out of a truck for cash. He could easily sell them at 10x what he paid for them. If he were greedy, he could split big bottles into small ones and make 20x. He just can’t sell them online.Amazon shut down a guy trying to profit off hand sanitizer. He’s sitting on 17000 bottles with nowhere to sell them
Yep, that's what my family said as well. Not sure if this has been posted here, but my friends from italy tell me that the government has mandated you can only be outside your house with the attached form completed. They are safe in my area of Umbria, but very frightened. Some good friends of ours own a restaurant and fear the business will be gone for good.

Right so he has no market He gonna have a yard sale ?Not really. He went town to town on a road trip buying them all up. He could do the same thing selling them out of a truck for cash. Just to note, the above link was intentionally limited to new articles posted within the last hour to get the most current info.
People kept stealing the TP out of the bathrooms at Walmart’s here, so now they have attendants that will dole it out to people when you go in. I have seen different amounts ranging from 2-6 squares. Dollar General had no TP either. TP our pretty much everywhere by this point in our area.Business as usual around here so far as far as people out and about. Grocery store was usual Saturday morning busy today. Shelves were stocked as usual, TP was almost gone but we scored some at Dollar General earlier in the morning.
Was at super Walmart this morning at 2 am, probably 30 people in there. Pasta was pretty much gone. Eggs....gone(weird), canned soups were picked over. TP , Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer obviously gone.
I loaded up on pasta, sauces, canned soups, 5 lb bag of rice , canned fruit. Wth, better to be looking at them than looking for them I guess.
I'm freezing. I have the fireplace on. Then I feel a cold draft from upstairs. My oldest son has the air-conditioning on up there because "it gets hot up there". The furnace downstairs is set at a balmy 70 degrees.I'm expecting a coronavirus related death in my area in the next few days. A few more days stuck at home with my wife and kids and someone is gonna die....

I have done this three times now.Great acts of kindness stories coming out. One lady couldn't afford what she needed so at the register she started to take stuff out. A lady came over from the other line and just paid for everything.
You’re kidding, right? He could set up shop in a parking lot at any grocery store and walk away with $1K at any store he stops at. Eventually the store might call the cops and he would get booted, but he could make a killing.Right so he has no market He gonna have a yard sale ?
Well in my experience, karma is real.I have done this three times now.
Luckily people keep paying for my order.
It's heartbreaking to read what is happening there. Not sure if this has been posted here, but my friends from italy tell me that the government has mandated you can only be outside your house with the attached form completed. Hardly anyone I talk to IRL seems to realize that's exactly what's going to happen here. It's heartbreaking to read what is happening there.
Curious how this gets tied to the Astros sign-stealing.
Brilliant! For those of you in need of toilet paper and can't find it anywhere, just start buying the next best thing.
I haven't heard any issues of this selling out. Yet.
Who won?I was in my office located in the basement last night and it seemed REALLY loud. I thought it was just a figment of my alcohol and drug induced imagination. Turns out my furnace and air conditioner were locked in a battle to the death.
What "could" happen here. While I do think things will get much worse, I still am trying to hold out hope that things won't get as bad here.Hardly anyone I talk to IRL seems to realize that's exactly what's going to happen here.
Have a social media influencer post that Qtips sold out somewhere, and within a day there will be a run.I am going to the store and randomly hoarding nonsensical items to confuse the sheep. Grabbed QTips today.
I completely agree with this.Hardly anyone I talk to IRL seems to realize that's exactly what's going to happen here.
We as Americans have it pretty bad right now, but what my friends describe is pure chaos. Even in the best of times, Italy is backwards in a lot of ways. Stores in many areas still close midday for 3 hours for example. Many people have college sized dorm fridges for an entire family and shop daily, many at open air markets. Most depend on tourism. I won’t be able to make it over this year, my September trip and cruise to Greece we are going to have to postpone. When i return in 2021, i expect a barren wasteland in all honestly. It's heartbreaking to read what is happening there.
