Wondering how many days we are into the 56 day bell curve in the U.S.? That would be 4. Depending on your region you may not even have started yet.
Probably best to think of this in localities rather than the US.  NYC and Seattle are further along.  Some places haven't really even started yet and might not this wave.

What do we say to people who are 100% sure they are protected by their faiths?
Go to the back of the line if you need hospitalisation?

Yahoo News: Ohio Megachurch Keeps Holding Mass Gatherings, Even As Coronavirus Spreads
While most of Ohio spent the last week lying low under Gov. Mike DeWine’s “stay at home” order to stem the coronavirus outbreak, the Solid Rock megachurch just north of Cincinnati took the opposite approach.

USA Today: Louisiana pastor says he has 1,000 people at services, defying state coronavirus orders
The Rev. Tony Spell, who claims that congregants at Life Tabernacle Church in the city of Central City, about 15 miles northeast of Baton Rouge, have been cured of cancer and HIV, said that coronavirus is “politically motivated.”
Ah, Darwin...  Too bad they'll affect others too...

I don’t want to put words in your mouth, but it almost seems like you’re saying a little collateral damage is worth getting the economy going.

Maybr you could expand on what you meant
“Worth” is the wrong term. More like accepting its inevitability.

Never said that. And that’s why your take is nothing but fear mongering to me.
That's exactly what you said.

If you're not "high risk", you should be able to live your life.  Even though you living your life directly puts at risk everyone that is "vulnerable"

On CNN,

Trump will soon issue guidelines on easing social distancing.

I assume to certain parts of the country.
Seriously. It's time for the 25th Amendment. At what point does the judgment, or lack thereof, of a President that puts countless lives in danger necessitate removal? This will get some more calls of stop the politics. I'm not talking about politics, I'm talking leadership. He's the one who won't put down the political MAGA hat . 🙁

No. Sorry. That’s not what I said. That’s what you inferred. There’s a difference.

Once it backfires, he's done.

One of the best examples of fear mongering yet. This is genuinely absurd. It really is.

I get that Trump is a divisive character, but at some point we have to be able to discuss the actions that directly relate to the coronavirus.  We can leave the democrats/republican/voting crap at the door and say that any action to lessen the social distancing is a disastrous decision.

I’M. FINE. AND. WIDE. AWAKE. BUT. THANK. YOU.

Wow... that was rather easy. Look - bad ####’s happening. I get it. But people are acting like it’s end of times biblical bad and it’s not. It just isn’t.
Wait, those goalposts were just here a minute ago...  You went from claiming that this was really only a concern for the "most vulnerable" to "people are acting like it's end of times biblical bad" in 5 minutes.

Where? All I see is people who are in denial about what's happening being told that they are fools for denying it.

I'd really like to know what stage Italy's new reported cases are at.  Usually they get tested when they report symptoms.  This often happens a week or two before hospitalization.

That's the scary part for Italy's healthcare system.  As bad as they are getting hammered right now, over half of their total cases have been reported in the last 8 days.
Agree, that is a black hole on info. Same issue here in states. How well is this social distancing working if we can’t test people/don’t test people until it is serious.

Ive played this game before

How many people is it OK to die so that the economy is not "significantly impacted"?  Please be specific in death count totals
This number is insignificant, because no number of deaths can save the economy. It would be like cancelling an evacuation for a hurricane to save the economy. People still aren't going to work during the hurricane. All you did was put them in harms way and kill more than needed to. This virus has assured us that the 2020 economy and going forward is going to suck regardless of what we do. People need to accept that in order to process what they are going to do going forward. Holding on the belief that the economy can be saved, let alone what amount of life is worth sacrificing to save it, is ridiculous.
Wow - my original question was removed.  Id LOVE to know what for.

@T J - are you going to answer?

Seems like churches that don’t like to follow what the Bible actually says.

Titus 3:1: ““Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.”

My church has already decided that we are not meeting on Easter, no matter what President Trump decides. It just isn’t worth the risk to our members and our community. There’s a difference between having faith and taking unnecessary risks to do...actually I’m not sure what they’re trying to do exactly.

The number of folks posting here (on 26 March!) who still do not comprehend what is happening bewilders me.
Mixed messages from leadership make it really, really easy to dig in one's heels and ignore the reality.

"It's China. NBD. Won't happen in the US."

"It's Italy. NBD. Won't happen in the US."

"It's Seattle/SF. NBD. Won't happen on the East Coast."

"It's NYC. NBD. Won't happen in my state."

Seem clear that the virus is doing exactly the same thing everywhere it gets a hold unless serious measures are taken. But, sure, let's relax b/c we'll all be fine for Eater, even if your regional curve is just in its infancy.

That's what I'm trying to do. And my question is serious. At what point does an executive exhibit malfeasance in duty to necessitate removal?

What % of your salary are you donating?
How much wealth do you think @CR69 is hoarding?

[note: "hoarding" meaning having more than one needs"]
I don't know if he is or not.  I guarantee there are people in this country that make a fraction of what he does that probably think he's hoarding quite a bit.

Wealth is relative.

Some wealth is objective. Not trying to imply anything.

Germany's secret? Lots of testing. They have a lot of small labs in that country. They're testing mild symptomatic people and quarantining the + cases.
