Yeah... the doctor in China who first found this ID'd four cases of it in one family immediately after Christmas. Those are the first cases recognized.This seems extremely unlikely. Hospitals presumably would have noticed their ICUs overrun with critically ill patients all exhibiting the exact same pattern of pneumonia and ARDS. It's a lot more probable that covid showed up in the US about the time we detected it -- the exponential spread of the disease is about what you'd expect from that.
