Bingo. 100% chance to advance counts for a lot.I certainly prefer having a bye week. On any Sunday doesn't apply for a week. That's a huge advantage.

Yeah it did wonders for us the last time that we went. I think this team has matured but I hate to see them sit for a week reading all of the headlines about how we have lost all of our playoff games the last 10 years and how we lost the last time we had a first round bye. Oh and the always popular "Do you think you will lose your job Wade if you don't win next week?"And let's not forget that in the last two seasons the NFC Champion didn't get a bye.I want our team to go play in that first week so that we can get a quick win and get this playoff monkey off of our back so that we can build on that the next week.Bingo. 100% chance to advance counts for a lot.I certainly prefer having a bye week. On any Sunday doesn't apply for a week. That's a huge advantage.
This. Plus, this team seems to be much more focused to not let a week off distract them like it might have in 2007.I'd rather get the 2 seed and have a much greater chance of not having to play any road games not to mention requiring one less win against a good team to get to the Superbowl.
Anyone suggesting otherwise is about retarted. There's nothing guaranteed, but having that home game after the bye is about the surest thing in sports right now. Wade is not the best coach for that situation, but I have to think he couldn't find a way to screw that up again. At least this particular Philly game isn't for the actual spot in the playoffs. Is there any situation where this team goes to Minnesota or Arizona the first week rather than Philly with a loss?I'd rather get the 2 seed and have a much greater chance of not having to play any road games not to mention requiring one less win against a good team to get to the Superbowl.
Yep, we go to Minny if we lose and Minnesota wins.We go to Arizona if we lose and Minnesota loses and Arizona wins.Anyone suggesting otherwise is about retarted. Also, the only scenario with us playing Philly in the 1st round would be at home. That is if we win and Minnesota wins.ETA: Well, I guess there is one scenario where Dal would play in Philly 1st round. Dal and Phil tie and a Minnesota win.Yep, we go to Minny if we lose and Minnesota wins.We go to Arizona if we lose and Minnesota loses and Arizona wins.Anyone suggesting otherwise is about retarted. Thanks for the insight. Having read many of your posts in the past I recognize you as an expert on ######ation so I will go have myself checked.I still prefer this team to keep on playing. Dallas has no problems playing on the road. Their two biggest wins this season came at New Orleans and Philly so they play well. Given the weather I would prefer they play Philly at our house though.Anyone suggesting otherwise is about retarted. Umm this seems to not be good news that he would say something like this. What context was this made? We can not have him half stepping out there because he feels that Romo has lost confidence in him. Is this going to become a problem? Not that Roy has been lighting it up but if Philly sees this comment they may just all together just forget about Roy if they see him sulking out there thus killing Austin's big play ability.Columbo and Watkins did not practice today. Everybody else did.
Roy Williams said today that Garrett and Romo have lost confidence in him.
A very large crowd is expected for Sunday. Hopefully it will play in our favor.
Jenkins will not be isolated on (DeSean) Jackson this week because they move him around so much (Jackson).
Coach DeCamillis was on the field today but didn't do much. He's hurting. He had the appendectomy as well as a hernia surgery.
I've had both myself, and the hernia surgery hurts far worse. It's not even close. They kept Joe D. limited.

I cannot freaken stand this guy. He's worse in Dallas than he was in Detroit, regarding his attitude. I mean, you'd think a guy who played for a team like Detroit his entire professional career would just try and make this most of this opportunity, kind of like Brookings. I swear, he's way worse than Terell Owens. At least Terell had a leg to stand on when he acted just about the same way. I mean, he's twice as good as Roy Williams so at least then you figured you'd stomach it because he was a superstar. This guy is a wannabe superstar. The Cowboys are rolling, they're about to play the biggest game of their season so far and he says things like a little girl would say.Roy Williams said today that Garrett and Romo have lost confidence in him.
I actually think out of the scenarios, the Cowboys will be facing the Packers. I think we beat Philly, Minnesota loses to the Giants but Arizona wins.Out of all the possible matchups, Green Bay is the team I don't want to play that first week. They are the only team that outplayed the Cowboys all season.Cowboys playoff scenarios
Here’s the Cowboys’ playoff scenarios heading into Sunday’s game against Philadelphia:
No. 2 seed: Cowboys win, Minnesota Vikings lose, Arizona Cardinals lose or tie.
No. 3 seed: Cowboys win, Vikings win, Cardinals lose or tie
No. 4 seed: Cowboys win, Vikings win, Cardinals win
No. 5 seed: No chance
No. 6 seed: Cowboys lose to Eagles.
Possible opponents
No. 2 seed and bye: If Cowboys win, Vikings lose, Cardinals lose.
Host Eagles: If Cowboys win, Vikings win and Cardinals lose; or if Cowboys win, Vikings win and Cardinals win
Host Packers: If Cowboys win, Vikings lose and Cardinals win
Play at Vikings: If Cowboys lose, Vikings lose and Cardinals lose; or if Cowboys lose, Vikings win and Cardinals win; or if Cowboys lose, Vikings win and Cardinals lose.
Play at Cardinals: If Cowboys lose, Vikings lose and Cardinals win.
I really think your misunderstanding what Roy is saying here. He is frustrated with the drops and is being honest with himself and the media in saying that Romo and Garrett have lost confidence in him. Id much rather him say this as opposed to having some false sense of security thinking the drops are okay.I cannot freaken stand this guy. The best news IMO is that under no scenario do the Cowboys have to travel to Philly in the first round. Green Bay or Philly would be tough outs, rather face Vikings, Cards, Saints, Green Bay, Philly in that order.I actually think out of the scenarios, the Cowboys will be facing the Packers. I think we beat Philly, Minnesota loses to the Giants but Arizona wins.Out of all the possible matchups, Green Bay is the team I don't want to play that first week. Why do people just read the blurb and not the whole interview? Haven't we learned by now that the media is going to paint things in a negative and senstionalistic light. Roy Williams still has confidence in his ability.
He understands if quarterback Tony Romo and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett don't share that confidence at the moment. Wednesday, one week after declaring it was hard to produce with so few opportunities, Williams acknowledged he must make plays in order to get more balls thrown his way.
"If I continue to do the three balls thrown to things I've been doing, I'm going to mess around and be on the sidelines playing special teams,'' said Williams, who dropped two of the him Sunday, one resulting in an interception.
"I didn't get a look in the second half, so that's telling me my quarterback has lost that confidence in me and so has the coordinator in calling the play for me. That's not on them. I don't blame them. I've brought it on myself. I've got to get my stuff together and help this team win some games in the playoffs.''
Williams has caught two passes for 18 yards in the last three games and admits he's pressing.
"I feel like I have to do something out of the ordinary here instead of just playing my game and letting the ball come to me,'' Williams said. "This season has been weird for me. I've always said I'll take less stats for more wins, and that's what's happening. I think I'm getting tested by the man upstairs seeing if I'm really what I say I am.
"I want to make plays. I want to be the best player on the field when I'm out there. It's just not working right now.''

I think you keep playing Free unless Colombo is absolutely 100 percent healthy and/or you see that Free's play starts to decline for any reason. I think the Cowboys offense is playing well right now, I wouldn't change it right now. To me, having Colombo back is a great insurance policy as the post season is upon us at the very least.Free or Colombo?
Marc Colombo will get his starting job back when he returns from leg and ankle injuries that have kept him out the past six games. But Doug Free has made the decision much harder than anticipated. Free has allowed only one sack, according to STATS, Inc., and been penalized for holding twice in his six starts.
"We were [giving him practice repetitions] earlier to give him some playing time, because we thought he was good enough to play," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. "So it came a little quicker than we thought playing all the time."
Colombo has been working on the side with trainers at practice, but Phillips said Colombo might not be ready until at least the divisional round of the playoffs in two weeks.

I usually watch games on justin.tv.For the guys not watching locally, and don't have DirectTV, what online feed do you watch?I had a bunch of links, but that computer died and I'm not fixing it. The soapcast one is cool and all, but often breaks after the second half.
Did you really think the G-Men would win to help out any team in the NFC EAST. Ehhh I really just think they blow but in the back of your mind does it not just look like they do not want to help out. They are who I thought they were. Check out my prediction for them in my sig.Giants are getting worse at the worst possible time. It's not starting well for them to beat the Vikings for us.
So you are OK with getting blown out, losing a home playoff game, and all momentum as long as noone gets hurt? The most important thing today is to get out of the game healthy.
Hey we beat them in Dallas this week how much confidence do you need to do it again the next week in the playoffs. Would love nothing more then to beat them for the division and then beat them for a 3rd time in the playoffs. I would think that would more then make up for the 44-6 loss huh. With the bye no longer in play, I still prefer a win today, 8 quarters with Philly and the shot at another home game going forward. It's not ideal, but if Philly is the obstacle then keep them in Texas.
