***OFFICIAL Detroit Lions bandwagon*** (1 Viewer)

They have a long way to go, but they are winning games by making plays in the 4th quarter. The Lions are slowly ridding themselves of the losers mentality. The Lions of the past few seasons would be 0-4 right now.

 Couldn't have said it better. So many times the past few weeks I've uttered the words "Here we go again". I'm not quite ready to crown them, but I'm certainly more optomistic than I've been in years. And GB Jon Kitna. Not flashy in the least, but watching him give everything he had in him during that Minnesota game was priceless. I've rarely seen somebody fight so damn hard for a win.

The Lions of old would not have gone on the road, blown a 17-0 lead and come back to win. The Lions of old would not have put up 34 4th quarter points to beat anybody. This is a new Lions. Its not a playoff team, but it is a competitive team.ETA: Ford Field is starting to rock and could become a legit home-field advantage. When Smith picked Griese off and was on his way to the house, Ford Field errupted like I had never heard.

This is a HUGE week for the Bears and Lions. Lose, and the Lions drop to 4-3, 1/2 game ahead of the Bears and 2 behind GB. Win, and they continue to put real pressure on the Packers.

For the Bears, it's really a "do or die" type game for them to stay in contention. Win, and with the BYE the Bears are in good position to get healthier (Vasher, Harris, and Walker) and are ok at .500. Lose, and the Bears are right back where they were a week ago as a very long shot.

Should be a good one!

It has been a long time since I have seen a Lions team outplayed and still win a game. TB seemed to be able to move the ball at will. It is great to see the Lions winning the turnover battle and getting solid home victories.

Pffft. The last quarter they played Chicago, they scored 34 points. I expect them to do that every quarter now that they have the Bears figured out.

:confused:The Lions are just toying with other teams. Letting them move up and down the field and then just taking the ball away from them, or psyching them into missing field goals. They are letting teams from the NFC East beat them easily just to set them up for a fall in the post season. It's all in the plan.

This is exactly why I am actually allowing myself hope for this season and the years to come.We have gone from finding ways to lose to finding ways to win.

Detroit is a great story this year. Too bad the SP is filled with NE threads (there needs to be a merge of em' this week).

Will Detroit be ok if Kitna misses time/games?

How do the Detroit homers feel about O'Sullivan? Could he get them a playoff win if need be?

Roy, Calvin, Kitna, KJ and the other WR look great; defense leads the leauge in INT's IIRC.

The offense is a dead duck with O'Sullivan. That guy is a clown. Jon Kitna is the only NFL caliber player the Lions have at QB. Kitna gets hit a lot, but he is tough and has the holy spirit, so he's got a shot to survive. IMO Calvin Johnson is a year away from being considered one of the best WRs in the league. The Lions ran that end around against the Bears and CJ easily got 9 years and if not for an amazing diving tackle, he would have scored. The catch out of bounds? I'm not sure even Moss could have got to that ball. Calvin's skill is unmatched and if he is as smart as people claim, then he's going to something very special.

The 10 win guarantee is just a paloi so all the 10 win glory will go to Him.

See, I told you guys the Lions could just flip the switch and blow out whoever they want, whenever they want.

This was to teach Dre Bly a lesson.

omg I can't believe how they ran up the score --- even challenged that one td at the very end.

what a classless organization.

I still have a hard time believing, I keep waiting for the collapse but this team seems very different.

After so many terrible years, it is so damn good to be able to watch football games that actually mean something.
You can say that again... I was at the game yesterday (Lions) and it was just awesome... I actually had sideline passes...the intensity was crazy... The Lions D Line just needs to stay healthy...If they can continue to knock QBs around like yesterday they could make some noise.... Two BIG games against the pack coming up though...and Dallas on December 9th.... Great actually looking forward to those games though...

Shaun Rogers needs to play both ways. Fridge part II.
That stiff arm on Selvin Young was Priceless.
Young had no chance of bringing him down by going high on him. If you're giving up 125 pounds (at least) to a guy, go low or you're just going to bounce off. Can't you see Shaun in on the goal line offense? Not only would it piss off Kevin Jones' FF owners, it would be unstoppable!
