Official Domanick Davis owners rejoice Thread (1 Viewer)

Well, anyone who drafted or traded for Dom Davis recently should stop in for a high five. I certainly did not have the foresight to predict this turn of events...

Had no reason to trade him. I got him for cheap right after the season ended. MW hasnt signed the contract yet so im not dancing yet :wall:

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Houston plans to trade back into the first round to draft a running back if they take Mario Williams with the first pick.

Wow are you serious??

I think it's a little premature. Adam Schefter reported if they indeed go MW at #1, they're looking to trade up to obtain a 2nd 1st rounder to take a RB (I think the Bears are a very likely candidate for a deal. Jerry Angelo has made it clear he's looking to trade down). The Bears seem to be in the ideal spot -- with the rumors of several RB's going at the tail end of the 1st.

In any case, they can remain where they're at, at the top of the 2nd, and go RB. I think it's pretty damning to DD's future that they're looking RB for the zone blocking scheme.

Schefter seemed pretty certain that Houston was still going RB if they pass on Bush.

--------------------

Speaking from everything I've read and heard here, I'd be really really shocked if the Bears selected at their spot.

As others have said...Schefter is reporting that Texans owner Bob McNair said they had two scenarios:

1) Draft Bush and take a pass rushing specialist at the top of the 2nd

2) Draft Williams and take a RB at the top of the 2nd

McNair said they all agreed that Williams + RB would be better value than Bush + DE given the expected availability at each position.

Also, Schefter said the Texans are already making inquiries to move into the bottom of the 1st round to select a RB from the group of Maroney, D. Williams, Addai and White.

I am not a DD owner in any of my 4 dynasty leagues. I would like to see the DD owners that traded him away to set up.

Schefter seems to report every little tidbit like it's gospel. I'm beginning to think he just likes to hear himself talk. :banned:

To be fair, this wasn't an unnamed source...this was Schefter relaying a conversation he had with Texans owner Bob McNair.

Casserly also indicated this in the interview on NFL Network.

If the Texans are seriously still looking for a rb, then wth? And trading up for one?

Hello, they still need

- OL

- linebackers

- cornerbacks

that are worth a damn.

Either Kubiak thinks DD sucks or they are trying to appease everyone lamenting about the Texans passing on Bush.

Why would any DD owners have traded him anyway. With the Bush hype, he would not warrent hardly anything. My guess is most all DD owenrs were holding him anyway. I know I would.

:goodposting: Bush is the only RB they should've considered. Now they're going to TRADE UP for one? How about some friggin' OL help Casserly? That right side is looking really pathetic at the moment. Oh yeah, we could use some linebackers, corners, and safeties too. Maybe a tight end as well. Go ahead, blow these mid round picks like you always do for the likes of Tony Hollings, Benny Joppru, Jason Babin, Phillip Buchanon, Charles Hill, Dave Ragone, etc....

This moron is out of here in a month or two anyway. Why the hell is this guy permitted to ruin one more draft for us? Christ, I think I'm a Jets' fan caught in some evil time warp listening to these friggin' picks...
