Just to be clear:

You idiots are criticizing Trump for raising MILLIONS of dollars for Veterans.

THANK ABOUT THAT FOR ONE SECOND!

You idiots are criticizing Trump for raising MILLIONS of dollars for Veterans.

How far do you have to lower yourself before hitting rock bottom? Seriously!
Actually, the criticism has been that he was never going to actually donate or collect funds - that he'd made little to no effort while taking all the credit.  That he only conducted the fundraiser to duck Megyn Kelly and had no desire to help anyone but himself.  So, motivation and implementation - not the act itself.

Kudos for raising money for veterans, even if it was an excuse to run away from Megan Kelly.  I'll even give him the benefit of the doubt that he would have paid it without any prodding from the media and others.  Now how about tripling that money by following through on YOUR IDEA of debating Bernie for charity?

Read the thread. First he didn't raise enough, than he didn't know the exact figure to the penny, than it's taking too long to give the money out. Oh and my favorite he's on'y doing it for the attention.

Tim has shown over and over he isn't good at reading threads. It's all about him posting and not reading.

No...we are not criticizing for raising millions.

You are not clear in what is actually being said.

How can a guy who lies 75% of the time be considered "genuine".  When he manipulates, panders, lies, or flip flops (all of which he does constantly), his supporters praise him for playing the game better.  Chess vs checkers and all that.  The guy can't lose.
What is worse a bull####ter bull####ting or someone telling you to trust them and then stabbing you in the back? The problem wasn't that Cruz was a lying politician the problem was he was pretending to be honest. Hillary does all that and pretends she is not slimy.

Pathetic is your attempted spin.

I am not criticizing him raising money...nobody is.  I am criticizing his intentions and his lies.

Its not a surprise you don't understand that.
This is crap just like your "I'm innocent" BS you try and pull. It doesn't work sho and every time you try it's hilarious.

Crap is your ability to comprehend what you read.

Nothing I posted was bashing him for raising money...just as I never claimed "I'm innocent".

But keep up the effort Beaver.

Stop lying liar.

I don't understand the hate for the media.
The media either outright lies or omits pertinent facts to support their agenda, and the public knows it.

Hardly Anyone Trusts The Media Anymore (April 2016)

Only 6 percent of people say they have a great deal of confidence in the press, about the same level of trust Americans have in Congress, according to a new survey released on Sunday.

The study mirrors past reports that found the public’s trust in mass media has reached historic lows, according to data gathered by the Media Insight Project, a partnership between The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and the American Press Institute. The report found faith in the press was just slightly higher than the 4 percent of people who said they trusted Congress.

Alongside the dire findings, the report found respondents valued accuracy above all else, with 85 percent of people saying it was extremely important to avoid errors in coverage. Timeliness and clarity followed closely, with 76 percent and 72 percent respectively saying those attributes were imperative among media sources.

“Over the last two decades, research shows the public has grown increasingly skeptical of the news industry,” the report reads. “The study reaffirms that consumers do value broad concepts of trust like fairness, balance, accuracy, and completeness. At least two-thirds of Americans cite each of these four general principles as very important to them.”

Read somewhere over the weekend that about a third of Trump supporters disagree with him on the issues.
Of course, many of us understand the art of the deal. You have to start at the most extreme position then work towards the middle. People are very alarmed at things that are merely opening gambits. Much like "I will save every family $2500 dollars was only a starting point."

I have to step up and say I have pushed on this issue. It has truly bugged me personally about Trump. I haven't seen the presser and I am not sure what he brought forward yet but it sounds like a full accounting. If so, here's a thank you to Donald and an appreciation to all of you Trump fans for supporting such a thing. I'm not going to left hand it with 'but's' either. The biggest thank you goes to the vets of course but it sounds like an overall good was done. If so, compliments to Team Trump.

 I can respect that.

You make it very easy to call you out on your crap. It's amusing to watch you when you get called out on it. You are a lot like Hillary.

called out on what?  your claims of me saying things I didn't say?

Amusing is watching you follow a few people around on here as your only real existence on the board.

Cue the :lmao:...now, you can have the last word (you know you will reply, you can't leave it go...despite making that claim about me often).

This isn't rocket science sho. Trump raised money for vets and you claim you have no problems with that yet you posted he did it only to benefit himself. How can raising money for vets be a good thing when you think he only did it for himself?

So Trump is upfront about his lying?  It seems to me he tries very hard to convince people that his lies are true.  He repeats them even after they've been debunked.

You're missing the part about him lying about how much he raised, lying about when he dispersed the funds, and lying about how much he had personally given.   Only after the big bad media called him out for lying through his teeth did he begrudgingly pay out his personal donation and most of the money that was raised at a highly publicized "Look at me I'm raising money for troops so I can weasel out of getting asked tough questions from Megyn Kelly" fundraiser that he wanted to keep private.

Did he raise money for vets?

Half of the checks were cut after the WaPo called him out last week.. This guy is such a fraud.
HE NEEDED TIME TO RUN BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL THE CHARITIES! SHEESH!

(I'm sure it's just a coincidence that he happened to complete most of those background checks the very same day that the Washington Post ran their story.)

Why would anyone want to run away from Megyn Kelly?

Why do I hate the media? Well...

Would Donald Trump have killed the gorilla?

What kind of ####ed up news story is this? This is CNN BTW.
So is your argument that the media isn't doing its job sufficiently? And that they should be better at its job?

If so, I think that's a legit criticism. But that still doesn't seem to be what Trump is saying. Which is that he wants to sue the media and make it easier to stop it from doing its job.

The media either outright lies or omits pertinent facts to support their agenda, and the public knows it.

So I think this is again a criticism of how the media is going its job. A criticism with which I generally tend to agree. They should be more vigilant, ask tougher, more relevant questions. Be more dogged. Stop worrying about what sells and more about getting to the truth.

But I don't think that's Trump's criticism. At least it doesn't seem to be to me. And Trump's criticism strikes me as very dangerous.

Why do you blindly support a New York liberal billionaire who spray tans and lies to veterans?
So in your world your abnormal and irrational hatred for a guy trying to make your life better comes before helping veterans. Shame on you.

Why do you hate spray tans?
I don't hate spray tans, but the thought of a 70 something year old man getting sprayed up like a 20 something on spring break is pretty amusing.   I bet Corey Lewandowski is his personal spray technician, he's really good at getting in the cracks and hard to reach areas.

In your world, using soldiers as a pawn for publicity and for dodging tough questions while trying to weasel out of a donation to veterans is okay.  Shame on you.

Over 5 million to vets. Only thing that matters in this and only one guy made it happen.

Which is what he was being criticized for...along with it being more about pandering to them to avoid Kelly and the debate.

It wasn't about him being great towards vets...that was always secondary (if not further down the line) in his motives.  And that is fair game for criticism.

He tried to steal from Vets, got caught and had to pay up.  There is nothing noble about it other than who the funds are going to.

If you dolts saw someone go into a store, take a bunch of merchandise without paying for it, then get caught in the parking lot and subsequently forced to pay for said merchandise, you'd probably pat him on the back for supporting the business.

Truth.

Anything else is ignorance.

There is nothing irrational about the criticism that Donald gets.

Though, there certainly it takes a lot of irrational thinking to support the man.

Quite the imagination you've got.

Hey Tim, you said nobody in here has criticized Trump for this?  Look no further than Neil and Bob over here.

Hey Tim, you said nobody in here has criticized Trump for this?  Look no further than Neil and Bob over here.
Neither of them criticized him for raising the money.  Again, you all need to learn how to read what people are actually saying (though, I disagree with their opinion that he was trying to steal from vets).

The haters have no clue that condemning a man for raising over 5 million for vets is going to have the opposite effect of which they think. More voters heading Big Don's way. Keep bashing haters you are doing your part to increase his voting base.
