I love the MAGA hats. They are a perfect example of who makes up the current GOP .

For reference: It's the style of hat my grandpop wore like 20 years ago.

Just saw a commercial from Catholic Church stating that Catholic Church was started by Jesus. I bet they believe that too. #sad
Maybe she's just saying that Jesus didn't exist.

Has anyone seen a person wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in public? I've seen zero. But maybe I'm just in the wrong place at the wrong time (i.e. I'm not going to Denny's for dinner at 4:45pm)
As a Florida resident, the local news is peppered with such people.  The story is usually about "Area Trailer Park Flooding" or "Man Arrested for Exposing Himself to Minors".

I second that. I've seen no hats, one yard sign and one bumper sticker. I live in north Texas and I've actually seen more Hillary stickers (only about 3, but still pretty weird).
Almost every time I see Trump yard signs there's also American flags all over the place.  "I love America!  It's not great, but I love it!"  Come to think it, I guess that's not much different than the way I feel about the Brewers.  :oldunsure:

I've seen one. Angry looking old white guy with a rusty pickup with about 100 crazy right wing bumper stickers plastered all over it. He was wearing a wife beater and jorts, swear to God. It was glorious. I've also seen one yard sign. I live in Indiana, which is supposed to be the heart of the Trumpkin home range.

I live in a nice neighborhood in a very red state.  I have not seen a single trump sign in our neighborhood.

I'd like to see the proof of each of your points.

As to the last one..... yeah I dispute it.  No so much because I'm in love with my former friends, the Republicans, but because the poll is flawed.  It's one of the things that more people need to do when they quote polls - actually look at the hard data.  And if not the hard data, at least the underlying source of the data.  The most recent one you selected was captioned as an NBC news poll, but it really isn't.  It's a NBC - ish poll that is actually taken from data from SurveyMonkey.com and internet based survey and marketing company.  And while I don't necessarily the formula of questions asked (I read one and it isn't a bad question) I do take issue with the base of information they work from.  While I'm not aware of the actual programming and security in place for SurveyMonkey, I'd be rather confident to say that there is probably no confirmation of the initial information provided by people who take the survey.

Granted, that is a problem in a lot of surveys, so I'm not trying to hide that.  But "internet poll," is not a phrase that I would hang my hat on too often.
Would Public Policy Polling work better? FiveThirtyEight rates them as B+ with a slight GOP lean. (R + 0.2)

This poll is from a year ago but I'd guess the questions about Obama's country of origin and religion would not have changed much.

Q28 (Republicans) Do you think Barack Obama was born in the United States?

Yes 29% .... No 44% .... Not sure 26%

Q30 (Republicans) Do you think Barack Obama is a Christian or a Muslim, or are you not sure?

Christian 14% ... Muslim 54% .... Not sure 32%

There are two brothers that sit in the first row just over the ump's shoulder at every Nats game, and one of them wears one for at least half the games. It's kinda distracting but also kinda funny. Gotta respect their commitment at least, knowing that DC and MD are two of the bluest places on the map and VA is heavily trending that way this election.

Yeah, I don't ever see much of anything in my neighborhood. Saw the Trumpkin in the hat at a gas station, and the sign was by my kids' middle school.

I'm definitely tempted to cruise some of the trailer parks in the neighboring towns to get a chance to observe some Trumpkins in their natural habitat -- gotta see 'em now before they go extinct in November. Maybe borrow an old pickup to blend in and not spook 'em. Spray some "cigarette smoke and KFC" spray to draw 'em in to take a peek.

It does work a lot better.  But this doesn't let me beat tim around for a few posts, so let's just keep this one amongst us for no, mkay?

(Seriously though, I'm not trying to say that the GOP isn't full of morons at this point, I was just trying to get tim to look beyond a headline).

Only sign in my neighborhood (suburban Detroit) is for Gary Johnson. But I was south of Jackson a few weeks ago and next to the local Catholic church was a house that had about four Trump signs, two Confederate flags and one American flag flying high.

I see more "Hillary for Prison" bumper stickers than I've seen trump. I have yet to see a trump yard sign. My dad did drag me to a gun show last month which was pretty much the crowd from any trump speech. Lots of TRUMP THAT ##### bumper stickers and confederate flag backpacks there.

Trump is turning it around in front of your eyes, folks! One strong debate from blowing this wide open.

Even my dad registered to vote, he's never voted in his life!

I live in SW Washington state which is safely Democrat. All I see is Trump signs everywhere, Especially rural areas. Usually accompanied by a rebel flag.

Your parents are voting Trump?
I don't think my mom is. She thinks Trump is a loudmouth who can't keep his mouth shut and has no respect for women, only cares about pretty women.

Which is funny because she said a few years back if Trump ever ran she'd vote for him but it appears he flushed her vote down the toilet.

I could get behind a 'Make the Chargers Gre...er, Good Again' campaign.

You would think the first man (or whatever they're gonna call bill when Hillary wins) being a "John", going on sex planes, and banging interns in the White House would be an issue too.

It wouldnt surprise me if Bill paid Melania for sex back in the day. Now that would heat up the debates.
His trips to his friend Jeff Epstein's island where Epstein had a harem of underage sex slaves has to top that one....

I'm just the messenger here, but I hear many people saying Putin hacked the New York Times because they were about to publish their explosive investigation into Trump's NAMBLA connections. I'm not saying it's true, but I'm reading it everywhere.

Heard this as well. Where there's smoke there's fire.

Two things are really starting to bother me about this thread:

Lots of victory laps being taken by the left. I love where we are and have great hopes we avoid a catastrophic presidency, but in my experience, third quarter victory celebrations are regretted fairly often.

There is a distinct lack of class in how the left is interacting with the Trumpers. Back in the 60's, one reason the left lost power was by their cavalier, superior attitude. Even if you are correct, no one like you when you act like a ####. That "they do it" or "do it worse/more" is neither a justification nor an excuse.
