I do think Bueno had a nice riposte but this whirlwind comment is true. I don't know how liberal this court will or could be but its true as far as this being the effect. Battles were won, a culture war was lost.
We are not there, but I'm excited and hopeful that we may soon the first court with a liberal majority in 50 years. 50 years! Can you imagine where we might be socially with just a little interruption of that in the last HALF CENTURY? Please please please please no reverse jinx

I'd like to think we reach a place where the USSC will become a forgotten, boring branch again and we don't have these brinksmanship debates and elections anymore. Probably overly idealistic on my part but I don't think the Court should be politicized or some rubber stamp of the electorate.

Yes, being brainwashed is a shame. Some guy here was brainwashed to the that point he started a thread about Heinz ketchup, as he couldn't imagine that anyone would prefer another brand. My point has little to do with Dem/GOP/Obama, as I suspect he was a Trump supporter.
Reading too difficult for you? Apparently you missed where I said I hate Trump and would never vote for him. Not a surprise, the most liberal (you) and the most conservative tend to be the biggest followers and easiest to brainwash.

Sure let's recess the court in 50 years after we undo the 50 years of conservative bias. Start with citizens united

No, I was able to read your post in another thread that you like to put ketchup on a cheesesteak. I didn't miss that because I thought there was some law against it (or at least there should be).

I'd be a #### of a lot more comfortable with garland in my pocket before the election. Btw, how did you come up with your screen name?
Media doesn't want us to know how little his real chances are, they need ratings. This is gonna be like the Broncos taking on Mount Union.

For 3 straight years I lost in my league title game with the far superior team, I was fantasy cursed. Lost with this lineup when I signed up

Warner

CJ2K (the year he had 2k)

Ray Rice (who was the number 2 RB that year)

V Davis (his best year of career)

Wes Welker (gazillion receptions)

Randy Moss (a million TDs)

Mightve been the greatest fantasy team ever assembled. I was truly cursed.

Whatever. I never count my winnings until I'm outside the casino and I'm in my car,

The amount of support this man has garnered is breathtaking.  You folks really need to reevaluate so much of what you think and do in life.

He has no idea what he is doing or talking about. If he was going to soften some stances, the time to do that was at and coming out of the convention. Instead he imploded and will not gain any new supporters.

So now Trump has the audacity to say that Hillary is a bigot? What's next, is he going to say her hair is ridiculous and she looks orange?

But if a republican was in office the last 8 years, things would be absolutely roses.  Republicans would not be giving two ####s about the middle class right now, just like they did before Obama.
You realize the gap between classes has gotten larger during Obama not smaller right?

His change on immigration is glorious. :lmao:  People like Em still think that wall is going up huh?
You have to admit, Trump must be in good physical shape for his ligaments and tendons to be able to withstand all the pivoting and sharp changes of direction that he's done recently.

When was the last time he brought the wall up in discussion, or in a speech?

Seth Meyers: When his crowd chants 'BUILD THAT WALL', Trump looks like Billy Joel when crowds chant, 'Piano Man'

So hilarious he hires a bunch of fox news guys and turns into a Romney starter kit.  Nothing was ever more predictable

Eh, he's likely going to get less than his fair share nationally (35-37%, whereas a R with a pulse would have had 40-42% easy) and get creamed in the electoral college by flipping zero states that Obama won, and lose a couple more in the process. Most people in here are laughing at him, bringing up the everyday gaffes, and dishing on Hillary a bit. Em, his aliases, and a handful of others who enjoy the debate make up the rest of the "folks".

Surprisingly, I think the country's got this one (as of now).

I even find 35% support breathtaking. I'm not political in any way and have no agenda; I even wanted to like him and tried to like him, if for no reason other than I dislike Hillary and would have liked to see a real shake-up in Washington. But it's embarrassing to me that more than 1/3 Americans think this guy is a good idea.

It would be less if the DNC had not thrown everything behind Hillary.  Biden would be up by 25.

What sucks is that in four years, there will be actual Republican candidates thinking about how they have to go after Trump voters.

The Republicans are the hateful, ignorant (really meaning the racism and bigotry) and selfish group of people in Politics.
Give me one line item on their agenda or ironed in their ideology that isnt related to one of those three some how.

Rachel Maddow Just Wrecked Trump By Filleting His Campaign Manager With Smart Questions

Rachel Maddow’s interview with Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway was a disaster for Trump as Maddow pushed for details on policy and Conway’s performance proved that Trump’s latest campaign reboot is a fraud.

Maddow asked Conway if Trump has ever apologized to Judge Curiel. Conway’s answer was, “I don’t know.” Conway retreated to Trump’s use of the vague word regret. Maddow followed up and said, “but there has been no apology.” Maddow turned to the Trump’s remarks about the Khan family and asked if Trump has apologized to the Khan family directly. Conway answered, “I don’t know.” Trump’s campaign manager talked about her own personal feeling about the Khan family.

Rachel Maddow highlighted the fact that Trump’s behavior like getting into a fight with a Gold Star family is shockingly personal. Maddow asked about Trump’s Muslim ban, and Conway did more dancing. Maddow got Conway to admit that the Trump campaign no longer supports banning all Muslims. The MFSNBC host did something rare that isn’t often seen in mainstream interviews. She pressed for details.

Maddow said that if Trump wanted the controversies to end, he is the one that has to end them by telling the American people exactly what he means. Rachel Maddow told Trump’s campaign manager that the candidate created these controversies, and he has to clean them up. Maddow broke up the false equivalency pushed by the Trump campaign that Clinton not holding press conferences is the same as Trump planning to ban Muslims.

The Trump campaign’s latest reboot just ran into a buzzsaw named Rachel Maddow.

The MSNBC host pointed out that Trump’s extreme vetting of immigrants was rejected by the Supreme Court in the past. Kellyanne Conway said that Trump is talking about four issues a week, and Maddow replied, but Trump’s positions have to make sense.

Maddow called out Trump for wasting donors’ money in Mississippi. She asked why was he there? Conway answered, “He wanted to hold a rally in Mississippi.”

Rachel Maddow asked Conway if the Clinton Foundation is so bad, why did Trump donate to it? Conway responded by admitting that the Clinton Foundation does some good work. The subject turned to Trump not releasing his tax returns and asked why should this audit out only apply to him? Conway said that voters don’t need to see his tax returns.

Maddow used Trump’s attack on Hillary Clinton’s health to ask if Trump should release a full health record. Conway’s answer, “Perhaps.” Trump’s campaign manager highlighted how vigorous Trump is “for a man his age.”

Rachel Maddow led Conway into torching the entire Trump reboot by simply asking intelligent questions. It wasn’t pretty, and Rachel Maddow just doomed Trump’s reboot to total failure.
I watched the interview and while Maddow did press Conway on the points noted, Conway did a good job pivoting away and bring the attention back to Hillary's shortcomings.  Sure there were a few moments where Conway clearly couldn't say that The Donald did the right thing, but in those instances she offered her own opinion and feelings.  Overall I think she was remarkably reasonable for someone so close to Trump.

Plus her rack seems really impressive.

Conway seems really bright, sincere, and well thought out.  She is the only person within the Trump campaign that may come out on top after he gets trounced in the general.

So this guy is back tracking on the only policy he actually put forward and the reason he won the primary.  Pretty damn funny.

Wow.

Lipinski, who had become a foreman after his arm was crushed by the steel beam, took matters into his own hands. Now 80, Albin Lipinski is a U.S. citizen. Speaking through an interpreter at his home, he displayed his hand, still scarred from the accident, but says he supports Trump for President.
Sullivan put it more bluntly in 1990 to People magazine. “It was disgusting how he used people,” Sullivan said. “I said, ‘Don’t exploit them like that. Don’t try to f-ck these poor souls over.’ It baffled me then, and it makes me sick even now that he knowingly had these Poles there for the purpose of Trump Tower at starvation wages. He couldn’t give a sh-t because he’s Donald Trump and everybody is here to serve him. Over time he became more and more monstrous and arrogant. I asked myself, ‘How long is it going to take for all of this to catch up with him?'”
