Leninism has other applications besides communism. It has more to do with seizure and consolidation of power by a small minority.

Bannon is a very smart guy. National security studies masters at Georgetown and Harvard with honors.

Trump supporters are getting legitimately nervous about some of the names floating around. Not Bannon, they ####### love Bannon but the idea of Bolton being Sec. of State is not sitting right with them.

Does "one of them" mean people who believe that undocumented immigrants are being scapegoated here, that they contribute more to our society than they take out, and that Trump's attempts to get rid of them will fail and also be a net detriment to the rest of us? 

Because if so then yes I am one of those people.

I find it pretty amazing that John Bolton of all people has somehow become too "business as usual."  (I never really had a problem with Bolton.  Just that he was viewed as really out there by Bush administration standards).

I don't watch the news or visit innerweb news sites. Everything you read or hear is too depressing. Didn't even have a clue about the election until 11pm, expecting Clinton to have crushed Trump. Since then I have been watching with amazing attention.

Look people, Trump isn't going to mass deport people. It was a ruse. Both those freaking out on the Left and those drooling all over themselves with glee on the alt-right were duped. 

It will be interesting to see how many of his slavish supporters keep justifying their support for him as he breaks every single one of his promises and turns out to be The Establishment that he is.

The alternative was Hillary so even if he compromises on a number of things why would they charge their support? The alternative was far worse.

Anyone taking action on the assumption he's just going to deport everyone is falling for a media lie. You can see they're still doing it: They're reporting "Trump wants to deport 2 to 3 million illegals as soon as he's sworn in". That's misleading. Trump said he wants to deport illegal immigrant violent offenders as soon as he's sworn in. When asked how many that was, in a follow up, he said "About 2 or 3 million illegal immigrants are violent criminals".

Wish he could sue the media for misleading the public, they're adding fuel to the fire in an attempt to "win". That's not their job.

Not to mention, we have deported upwards of 2.5 million illegals during Obamas tenure.

'Let's be as lax as Hillary about national security information' is a great way to start out.

No, because people who don't have an official WH government position with a need to know the information they can't get access to that information.

And aside from their lack of qualification federal nepotism laws prevent them from getting such jobs anyway.

I think they point is he is planning on using Don Jr and Ivanka in some capacity and asking what requirement are needed for clearance is a reasonable question. 

Also I heard on the radio today that nepotism laws may not apply here.

Sorry I guess I was just adding that the Trump kids have no need to know that information. The only value it has to them is as business value, that's it.

In Trump's defense I guess he is completely ignorant of this stuff for one thing but also he is totally used to controlling information in his organizations and also relying on his adult children for consultation. Sad truth is that Donald is in a completely different world now. He does not have total control over who gets what and he will not be able to lean on his children for a great deal of what he will be doing.

Why do Don Jr & Ivanka need to know classified information? They have zero involvement in foreign policy or intelligence. They will be handling Donald's businesses, remember? They can't work in private business and handle national security information. It does not happen and is not allowed to happen.

Yeah I find it fascinating that 'lock her up' has now become 'ethics laws don't apply to the president'. Again, great start.

If Donald starts bending traditional rules to fit his preferences he is going to have a problem. This is exactly what happened to Hillary btw.

President Obama said today that Donald Trump shares his support for NATO. 

This is good news to hear, even though it's coming from Obama and not Trump himself. It would have been unlikely that Trump would carry through on his anti-NATO rhetoric during the campaign but it's a relief to hear otherwise. 

Of course we're not the important audience. Vlad Putin has got to hear from Trump's lips that if Russia dares to invade a NATO country, the United States will go to war to defend that country. If Putin is made unsure about this it could be catastrophic.

Saying Donald Trump is anti-NATO is like saying somebody is anti their brother in law who is living in the basement.

Don't hate him or them. Just time for them to stop enjoying the free ride. Not a tough concept to understand, Timmy.
