****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (54 Viewers)

Was just offered this deal and am debating because I have a few older WRs and depth could be an issue:

I’d give : Parris Campbell, Justyn Ross

I’d get : Jerry Jeudy
I swear I typed this last night and it got lost…

Did this last night. Learned the former owner reached out to 4 or 5 of us since he wants to go full devy rebuild and all said they’d sleep on it. Snooze you lose and I freed up valuable bench space with taxi lock coming.

Curious what people think of this one. I was not involved. 2QB League.

Team A gave: Justin Fields, Andy Dalton, 2022 1st

Team B gave: Deshaun Watson

Team A’s other QB’s prior to the trade: Jared Goff, Trey Lance, Dak

Team B’s other QB’s prior to trade: Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love

I don't have an issue with what either team did here...no way can you fault someone for moving on from Watson with his closet full of legal troubles and getting a potential stud QB while also locking down the Bears QB situation short-term as well as adding a #1 is a solid haul...the fact Team B already has Herbert and Lamar means they don't need Fields right away and with Love ready to take over this team is in a fantastic spot long term in a 2 QB league...on the flipside if Watson comes back and you can pair him with Dak Team A will be in a much better spot with their starting line-up as Goff is a question mark and while Lance looks legit you know don't need him to produce right away...nice deal for both teams.

I think Fields for Watson would be a fair swap straight up.  Actually Fields is going well ahead of Watson in SF startup ADP at this point and worth a lot more on keeptradecut as well.  I realize neither of those are the end-all, be-all, but I think adding a 1st to the Fields side is excessive.  Most people have Fields > Watson.

I feel Fields/Dalton for Watson seems about fair.  I'm ok with the risk of Watson for a rookie Bears QB if someone likes to gamble a little.  That 1st is atrocious.

I love this for you considering the giant question marks surrounding Ross's neck injury.  He may be deemed undraftable by a lot of teams next year.

Stole Jeudy.

This is where I’m at. The 1st round pick was unnecessary to get this done. That’s an overpay for Watson, IMO.

12 Team PPR + 0.1 per carry   (1 QB)     not involved

Rebuild did say Gus was on the Block.. for a QB since he lost Cam (and lost ETN)

Rebuild Gave up:  Balt RB Gus The Bus Edwards

Competitive Team Gave up:  Atl QB Matt Ryan

Roster Cut day tomorrow...  I need to drop / move 5 spots.   12 Team PPR; 1 QB

I gave up:  DJ Chark, T Lockett, Jonnu Smith

I got back:  DJ Moore, J Graham, Rob Gronk      (I dropped Graham)

I still have Hock at TE, need to upgrade WR corp (Agholor, Marvin Jones, Pittman, Fuller, Hollywood Brown)

I'm meh on Chark so prefer DJ2 side.

Roster cutdowns are a real constraint sometimes. Not for my team in this one.
Yes, but a good time to inquire about back of roster players from offer teams.

I should probably do that more. Saw a player dropped who I kinda like & I did have room. Got lucky on the claim, but that’s not always the case.

Completely understand selling Gus to a contender if you're in a rebuild...but Matt Ryan?  What's he going to do for a rebuilder?  I'd rather see Gus traded for a young guy with some upside. Not saying you could pull Sermon or Carter for him, but maybe Palmer, Nico, Rountree, a 2022 2nd, something with a chance to help a rebuild. Anything but a 36 yr old QB...

Contender just got a free RB2 for 2021 IMO

12 team PPR, start 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex
I’m contending with a core of

Rodgers, Herbert,

Henry, Gibson, Gaskins, Sermon

Adams, Kupp, Golladay, Sutton, T, Marshall

I gave Rondale Moore, 2022 first (late), 2023 first (mid-late), neither first was mine, I still have those.

I got Ridley.

I think this puts me firmly in title contention, but I’m a Cards fan and was really excited about Moore.

I agree with most of this but did I miss Rountree’s value skyrocketing? I don’t have him remotely near Gus value (or a 2nd)

Love this deal for you. I’d easily pay that for Ridley.

His only question mark is what happens at QB in ATL after Ryan.

As long as they’re competent, Ridley should continue to put up monster numbers.

I grabbed Rountree late in my rookie draft.  I was hoping he’d win the RB2 job out of camp, but it appears that’s still Kelley (though Kelley wasn’t impressive in the preseason, he wasn’t that bad either)

But with Eke’s age & injury history, I could see a path to PT this season, and if not the future looks bright for him.

Of course, that’s what I thought about Quadree Ollison when I drafted him.

But no - nothing I’ve seen this preseason that would elevate his value to a 2nd or Gus.

I would argue that he shouldn’t have made it to the 5.03 spot where I picked him, but I’d sell him for a 2nd immediately.

I agree with this.  I saw players dropped during the most recent cutdown that went for almost 100% of FAB.  I make a lot of inquiries, but I suppose too many assumptions are made on my part that the league wouldn't cut X player.

Yeah - next year I may just message 11 owners before cut-down say saying “looking for back of the roster assets for picks. HMU with who you might drop”

can’t hurt!

I hope that works out well for ya.  I think the people in my league wouldn't want to disclose that.  I may try that as well with some of the teams I talk more with and see how it goes.

My dynasty league is pretty trade heavy - pretty sure most of them would rather have a future 4th or 5th vs dropping players for nothing.

the question becomes whether I’m willing to spend that for a dude vs FAAB of a few bucks. Depends on the player.

Fair, lopsided, or crazy?  Superflex, QB, RB, WR, TE, 5 Flex, 1 SF

Team A (win now) gets: Dak Prescott & D'Andre Swift

Team B (building) gets: Trey Lance & Justin Fields & Travis Etienne

Seems even value-wise. ETN’s a brick this year, but getting 2 young QBs of the future in superflex is a really nice pull.

Swift is a maybe-type tweener value-wise. Elite talent? Maybe. Health risks? You bet. Bad team? 100%

Ans a rebuilding team doesn’t really need Dak.

I like it both ways.

14 team .. no ppr

Gave: Mixon

Got: Aiyuk

I have plenty at RB ahead of Mixon (CMC, Henry, Chubb, AJones) and "only" have Hopkins and Godwin at WR.  Can start 3 RB and 1 WR so just prepping for future as Hopkins is getting older.

Great get for Mixon, though honestly given your league parameters I'm surprised you weren't able to get a more. Even a fringe RB1 like Mixon at his age should fetch a bona fide WR1+. I like Aiyuk (and am no Mixon fan) so I'd be ok with it, but objectively I think you could have gotten more.

Hopefully he’ll be able to get buy with the rest of that team 🤣.

I mostly agree with you but I’m not sure how much anyone would be willing to add to Aiyuk - not sure it would make much difference. I wouldn’t move Aiyuk for Mixon unless I was in desperate need at RB.

Other owner probably wouldn't have done it but lost Dobbins and his only other RB was Mostert.  He was heavy San Francisco with Mostert, Aiyuk, Kittle and San Fran D in his starting lineup.  I wasn't going to get more than Aiyuk from him.  Did shop Mixon around and couldn't get a better WR than Aiyuk.
