FFPC rookie draft day is upon us. I woke up to this offer in a FFPC 1 QB
I get 1.04 and 3.09
I give 1.09, 2.01, my 2024 2nd
I had yet to even see the draft board I just assumed it went Bijan, Gibbs, JSN and that is why I was getting the offer but nope. Anthony Richardson went 3rd so I snap accepted.

Got no problem with either side...would need to look at rosters to really make a choice but my guess is it probably makes sense for both teams.

Really like this deal for you and it even includes my pet peeve of someone adding on a draft pick (the 3.9) when they don't have to...the fact that Gibbs was on the board when he sent the deal is a real head-scratcher...would love to know his thinking behind this deal...not sure what is moving the needle for him with this.

Rookie draft started, Bijan went 1.01. I'm not involved:
Team A gave: 1.02, 2.02, '24 R4
Team B gave: Chris Olave, 2.06
I've got the 1.03 in this league. I made about a half dozen offers for the 1.02, mostly before the reality draft, but I did make an offer last weekend that was rejected. Team A put the 1.02 on the block while on the clock and accepted an offer about 2 hours before I woke up this morning, so I missed out. Anyway, Gibbs is more valuable than this.

Give me Olave...I will preface this by saying I build my Dynasty teams thru WR...I just don't trust RBs in Dynasty due to their health, longevity and the fact the NFL is turning into an RBBC league...Olave will only be 23 in June and has a chance to be an elite/top 10 WR for a long time...in a non-SF he would easily go #2 for me after posting a 72-1042-4 rookie season (and looking good doing it) and looking like he is getting a QB upgrade...any time you get a chance to grab a young WR of this ilk be it Olave, Wilson, Lamb, or Jefferson I think you need to jump on it and I don't think the price is anything too special in this case...especially when you factor in only having to go from 2.2 to 2.6 in the second.

I think you guys are probably right. I was annoyed that I missed out on Gibbs. While I also build my dynasty teams through WRs, these 1 QB FFPC leagues seem to be overly RB-obsessed, so I probably would've asked for more. According to ADP, Olave is a fringe first-round startup pick, while Gibbs was going at the 2/3 turn, but these drafts were before the reality draft, and I'd expect that Gibbs would have jumped a bit by now. But the deal probably seems pretty fair to me now.

I seriously doubt the Lions took Gibbs at 12 to not use him.

I still have Mahomes. Had to give Hurts away for a cheap second last off-season because carrying all 3 was just to much. I know it's because of the draft but in all my time of playing FFPC I can't recall a QB going for this high of a pick in one of my one start QB leagues. I'm sure it's happened, just can't recall it in my leagues.

Olave was going a full round ahead of JSN in startups BEFORE the NFL draft.

I think the Olave/Gibbs above seems about right, actually.
Olave and Gibbs both undersized. Olave has proven his worth in the NFL already. I like the Olave side for a bunch of reasons.

1.07 is outside of the premium tier and is similar in worth to 1.12. It also depends on how you value the players. I'm higher than most on Toney

A BIG missing piece of this trade is the '24 1st's rosters. Those picks are random given the info we have. It's closer for me if one of those is projected top three

Don’t disagree, but it’s also hard to predict. My worst trade ever I got a 2023 1st from a team that had made the LCG 3 straight years, and traded it for a pick from a team that was a basement team on paper.
Yeah - miracle season for the basement team, and the 3x LCG team fell apart with injury & underachievement. Add in some scheduling terrible luck and I basically gave up the 1.05 for the 1.08
So I’m willing to give the ‘24 1sts the value of “random” in evaluating. It’s just so hard to predict.

FFPC 1 QB just traded while OTC
I gave up 2.01 and 2.11
for
A 2024 1st no clue where it could end up could be 1st or last pick next year with how FFPC handles things
Seems like a lot to give up in a lot of years you can get a future 1st straigth up for 2.01 but clearly couldn't get that done here and had to throw in the 2.11 as well.

I had traded the 1.10 for a future 1st last night again they are almost always random truly random in FFPC that is case again.
Just now I once again traded in a 3rd different FFPC 1 QB league
I gave up the 1.12 and got the future 1st of the defending champ but again that might be a blessing in the FFPC should this team miss playoffs your odds of getting #1 pick go away up.
Or I end up with a pick in the 9-12 range.
