I am a big TLaw & Tee fan. I pursued them, this was the price. I am happy with it.

I'm sorry Birdie but I feel the same as Ghostguy. I don't see how you can give up Bijan for that return. In a one QB league Trevor seems like he's about on par with the 1.9. Otton's close to worthless. This feels like Bijan and 2.7 for Tee and 3.7.

The one detail that made me not mind this deal was the full rebuild part.

Drafting an elite RB seems a little silly in that context.

In 1-QB format, getting TLaw still nets a top ~7 QB for the foreseeable future. Better, if you believe there’s still room for Lawrence to grow, as many do.

QB is a little lean these days. I’ve said it before - there are maybe 9 worth rostering with long-term value in dynasty at the moment, with no guarantee that number increases in 2023.

So in that light I don’t mind the deal. Plus Birdie is a TLaw fan, so….I get it

This brings up an interesting point (maybe a discussion for a different thread). At what point is drafting Bijan a waste? I lucked into the 1.01 for 1.02 and 2.04 earlier this month and I've been really considering flipping the pick. For context, this is a superflex TE-P league with the following roster: QB/RB/WR/TE/SF/5xFlex. As it stands, I'm in the middle of a severe rebuild. The roster was very much bare. Traded for Fields and TLaw before the 2022 season and drafted Walker III. Walker is my only RB worth a crap right now and my WR room is a plethora of #2 WRs and dart throws. Guys like KJ Osborn, Nico Collins, Jakobi Myers, and Mooney. TE Room is solid. So unless I hit hard on some of my WR room dart throws, this team is not competitive. So Bijan tightens the heck out of my RB room, but the WR room is still a mess. At what value point is it reasonable to flip the 1.01 for a young stud WR and picks?

Fields, TLaw, Walker, Bijan, solid TEs and bunch of WRs 2s seems like a solid team that can make a playoff run in SF. If not this year then in another.

That's the rub, right? IF you're team is stacked everywhere except QB then this trade makes sense. I don't see any of the rookies putting up top 15 numbers this season and NONE of them will outperform TLaw. So in that context, I don't have aproblem with making that trade. I'd like to get an uptier QB, but TLaw has the pieces in place to make a jump into elite status this year.

In that light getting the 23 year old QB who could be top 5 for the next 10-15 years also makes a lot of sense.

Perhaps not maximized trade value, but I don’t think it’s so off as to be terrible.

I was considering QB with 1.09 & I was high on CJ until the C2 reports (18%.. really?) and I am not a fan of petite Bryce (see Kyler Murray) Young. I can risk waiting on ARich in the 2nd now if available.

Best RB/WR at 1.07 & 1.08 available (Flowers, Achane/Carbs)
This eliminates the 1.09 Rookie QB consideration.

I argued earlier in this thread that Williams value should have gone up starting the season fully recovered. Now, this actually seems like a gift. Obviously this is only six games, but I’m now worried about this guy living up to his potential if he can’t follow simple rules.

I mean I know we’ve all annointed Bijan, but the truth is he could end up being Trent Richardson, however unlikely.

My 1 team was stacked everyone except QB (I only have Brady) and I had the 1.05, 1.13 and I decided to make my team even more stacked by trading the 1.05, 1.13 and my future 1st for the 1.01 to get Bijan and worry about QB later.

Then last night I traded McLaurin and Brian Robinson for Lamar.

Now I am stacked plus have my QB

They are brand new just took over an orphan and announced they're rebuilding. It was a firesale. Right before I made this deal they made the message board post. Quickly a deal emerged, not involved:

I see it in my email and ran to offer whatever it was for Jacobs and they countered with the above and I slammed it.

Then I said to myself ok what else, only other asset I'm interested on their team is Lamar so I offer Gabe Davis and my future 1st and 2nd. No I didn't expect that to go through but figured a place to start). However!! Being FFPC you cannot offer your only 1st without paying your deposit first, so I clicked Davis and my 2nd and put in a message that said I'd pay the deposit and add the 1st to it.

Dude didn't understand that and got pissed thinking I was making some weird unethical offer to pay *his* deposit or whatever. Had to go back and forth a while to explain to him and then everything was fine. Didn't get Lamar nor would I think I would.

Truth be told, Diggs Najee and Jacobs (with Lamar) weren't gonna do it for this squad so I think they're right to tear down. But too cheap IMO and all done within minutes.

I've never seen a calculator that I can't immediately show a bunch of examples of how bad they are.
Can they be useful? I don't care what the answer to that question is. All I know is, they are very, very bad at actually evaluating trades.

I traded the 1.01 and I am happy.

My guess is the guy getting the 1.01 is pretty happy. You should not have had to trade the 1.09 in that deal.

Embarrassing....the other Owner should be put on fantasy probation and not be allowed to trade for 2 months....maybe longer.

They are brand new just took over an orphan and announced they're rebuilding. It was a firesale. Right before I made this deal they made the message board post. Quickly a deal emerged, not involved:

I see it in my email and ran to offer whatever it was for Jacobs and they countered with the above and I slammed it.

Then I said to myself ok what else, only other asset I'm interested on their team is Lamar so I offer Gabe Davis and my future 1st and 2nd. No I didn't expect that to go through but figured a place to start). However!! Being FFPC you cannot offer your only 1st without paying your deposit first, so I clicked Davis and my 2nd and put in a message that said I'd pay the deposit and add the 1st to it.

Dude didn't understand that and got pissed thinking I was making some weird unethical offer to pay *his* deposit or whatever. Had to go back and forth a while to explain to him and then everything was fine. Didn't get Lamar nor would I think I would.

Truth be told, Diggs Najee and Jacobs (with Lamar) weren't gonna do it for this squad so I think they're right to tear down. But too cheap IMO and all done within minutes.

I think sometimes brand-new Dynasty Owners do not understand the difference between fantasy draft picks and real NFL draft picks and will value 2nd and 3rd round picks more than they should.

I was always down on his draft capital and speed, but I'd take Allgeier. He proved it last year. If they draft someone, then you're holding the bag, but it's the 2.08. That's not too steep a price for him, jackpot or bust.
