Am I goofy to turn down pick 2.07 for the likes of Flowers, or Olave, or Addison? I have all 3, plus Puca, and McMillan and Coleman and McCaffery.
Every trade chart I look at says any of the 3 are worth more than 2.07.
I have a title and a 3rd place finish with this team in the last 2 years, its getting kind of boring. Want to change some things in a league that barely trades, but also dont want to get taken advantage of either.

2.7 is not even close.

IMO, seems like rookie fever in swing already and an over-reaction to last year. Adding a weak rookie class and you are likely looking at the RB2 or WR2 from this class at this pick. None of the current prospects would excite me over a still young Hall and the 2.03 doesn’t move the needle much. Bird in the hand vs 2 in the bush.

I wouldn't call it a weak rookie class by any stretch of the imagination, because the RBs and TEs are pretty damn good and a few of the WRs are good as well, just not deep. But I agree with you that I wouldn't trade Hall for the 1.03 and 2.03. I could see moving him for the 1.02+, but why go after the 2nd RB to replace a still young Hall, unless you got something like the 1.02 and 1.05, or 1.07 for Hall, then that makes it more even IMO.

True, its still early in the process but definitely seems weak to me. I see the talent thinning out considerably after the top 8 into mostly dart throws and the top 8 are iffy as well depending on landing spot (especially the WR’s.) May be also more a function that we’ve been spoiled the last few years!

In my league I'd need about 3 Harrisons to move the 1.01, but that needs to be adjusted a lot for the difference in lineup settings. So I agree, definitely 1.01, but hard to say by how much since I'm not used to that lineup.

Chase is the ultimate hammer.

McConkey is not. I like him, but IMO it’s a significantly wider chasm between Chase & Ladd than this. It’s a really poor return value on Chase - I don’t get this one at all.

Thomas goes a full round over Breece right now in FFPC redrafts, and I'd expect that disparity to be even larger in dynasty, much higher if it's a league that requires minimum 3 WR's.

IMO Breece can allow you to shop in the Ladd, MHJ, Wilson type of aisle. Thomas is for sure ambitious.

I got the BTJ side of this deal. I was not in love with any pick at 1.02 and don’t have a strong need at RB (Breece, JT, Tyrone Tracy) or QB (Mahomes, ARichardson, Bryce Young, Penix, Darnold).

For me it is about being down on both Taylor and Wilson. Wilson has so much upside and just seems consistently a notch below realizing that.

Yes, JT could be a player I target later. I think A. Richardson limits his upside. I have a few offers out for those on the trade blocks like Breece Hall. Worst case scenario I add 6 rookies in the first and hope a couple hit.

Was able to finally acquire Justin Jefferson in an FFPC, 1 QB league

Got: Jefferson, 3.03
Gave: smith-Njigba, 1.06, Allgeier and 2025 1st (presumably late)

Now i can pick Harrison Jr with the 1.01 and pair together with JJ for long time. WR room still has Olave, Devonta, Marquese Brown, Doubs and some scrubs. Felt like a slight overpay but to get these types of guys I guess that’s always what it will feel like.

It would be hard to find someone giving up JJ for cheaper than that, absolute steal IMO. Arguably the best dynasty FF player for several crapshoots? I really do not understand why someone would settle for that.

If I owned JJ I’d think about this. I’m a huge JSN believer. I would love to revisit this next year at this time and see what people think.
Now that said, as much as I love JSN, I’m not sure I’d give up JJ for this package. But I think it’s closer than most here do.

In a one QB I need more than the 1.06 coming back in that trade. In fact I would want to be guaranteed Nabers or MHJr. It is easy to forget how dominant JJ is coming off an injury plagued season. The guy is an FF force. To trade that away I do not want those picks to be mid or late. JSN is a nice player with some upside, but personally this is not close for me if I am trading away JJ.

I think JSN is more than a "nice player with some upside." I think he's going to be a superstar as soon as next year (assuming Lockett is gone). I agree he's unproven, but I think he'll be a perennial top 5 WR for years.

I'm not feeling that at all on JSN but for people who do feel that way and want to acquire him you don't need to give up JJ as part of the deal to get him. If you like JSN he should be considered a strong buy low, this trade is not that. The one I posted yesterday were someone gave Pickens and a future second is more the kind of deal someone wanting to buy JSN should be exploring, not giving up arguably the most valued player in fantasy.

I'm on board with that. And to be clear, as I stated above, I don't think I'd do the trade myself. I'm just saying that one year from now this trade may look much closer.

Revisiting this based on the Metcalf trade request, JSN posting a solid 2024 season, and the issues at QB in Minnesota.
