** Official ** Eagles 2008 Thread (2 Viewers)

Great. Washington gets Devin Thomas & Giants get Kenny Phillips. Two players the Eagles could have ABSOLUTELY used. I'm extremely disappointed, AS USUAL already.

Jackson, Kelly, Sweed, and other WR's still available...getting one of them at 43 would be good value. And we still have pick 49 for Safety or line help.

Dallas getting Felix, NYG getting Phillips, Wash getting Thomas, Eagles getting 2nd/4th/2009 1st for #19...NFC looking solid all the way around. Best division in football getting better.

Hardy just went so Eagles have the choice of Jackson or Sweed. Jackson would be a great pick. They really do need a returner.

I'm assuming we got #47 for #43. And then maybe another 5th? Like we need another 5th. Jackson would have been a solid KR THIS YEAR. Sweed, overall, I like better long term. Hope for #47 to still have these options.

Dropped four picks to gain a full round later. Looking at who's picking ahead of them, I like it...probably still get Jackson

What are the specifics? If Sweed/jackson/Kelly are still on the board...then hell yeah, take the round move up. I'm guessing 4th to 3rd?

OK...on the clock with the guys I thought were the #2 and #3 WR's in this draft. Jackson and Sweed are steals IMO. I can't believe Simpson, Royal and others have gone. Hardy I can understand.

I have to admit, moving from 152 to 117 to move down 4 spots in the 2nd is pretty good. The Eagles are getting great value with their trades I just wonder if they are going to get any players this draft.

Can't decide if I like it or hate it.

Another pick in a few minutes though, and Washington isn't going reciever.

LAWS...DT. And at 49 we can take a WR. I have to think the strategy was that WASH would not take a WR at 48 (already took Thomas) so we would still have choice at #49.

First day:

DT Laws

Speed WR/KR/PR Jackson

Carolina's first round in 2009

Carolina's 4th round

Moved own pick from 5th to 4th

Not too bad.

 FINALLY A RETURNER! :pickle: :pickle:

Fools saying the Eagles are done today. I wouldn't be so sure with all the picks they still have in this draft.

That is a nice haul. I'm not saying they are going to but Carolina could easily suck this year.
Brilliant draft by the Eagles so far. Absolutely brilliant.Add to this the fact that they appear to be either:A. Keeping LitoB. Trading him for another 2nd and you got a great first day....

i'd also like to note that with the Eagles not having to pay 1st round $$$ they could possibly give an extention to a certain CB.........

*edit* this is just from me, no inside info....
