I should be able to get in, got home from school a little early (final was easy.) I just have to print out some powerpoints for studying for tomorrow's final, but there is no way I'm trying to study them tonight.

It was really awesome until Horrible Joe killed me that bunch of times. Sneaky punk! It took a while to get into the swing of things. I had a heck of a time identifying the enemy most of the night. Good times though! It was especially awesome when Maelstrom won the roll for the epic runemaster shoulder guards. Congrats GB! I would be down for a few more rounds on Friday or Saturday.

I played a couple of rounds of Wake again today - 300 pts, going back and forth, as USMC. Would get 2, maybe 3 flags, but they had pretty awesome jet pilots, so we took pounding after pounding trying to advance. Then as we got down to about 90-90, all of a sudden, the stars aligned and we capped all flags and they were left with a solo pilot. It was only a matter of time till he got pounded with arty as he tried in vain to cap a flag.

Pretty sure it is just Maelstrom. I got voted out of 2 campaigns earlier today, still figuring out things (like how to revive someone that is down, I got it, but not before my teammates were fairly upset.) And I kinda dropped a pipe bomb when I was trying to heal someone...kinda like my grenades in BF2 You know, "Here, let me heal you" . . . . BOOOMM! "Doh, sorry!"

You have to get up to speed during this next week so we can do some Expert campaigns the following weekend. I'll have a lot of gaming time on that Saturday!

I should start spending more time over there. Is Maelstrom up to speed on L4D yet? I'd love to run through an expert campaign Saturday night. If not, some BF2 would be excellent as well.

actually decided to pick up Bad Company yesterday. It's only $20 now.

Its ok. The graphics are kinda grainy and its impossible for me to be accurate with a controller. However, the sound and destructible environments are great.

Don't like the maps at all. They are too cluttered and everything looks the same. There are no landmarks to let you know where you are.

I would agree. I played a lot of the demo and my wife even bought me the game for last Father's Day, I think. However, after playing the demo a few days, I returned it unopened. Lots of possibilities with that game, though.

I would agree. I played a lot of the demo and my wife even bought me the game for last Father's Day, I think. However, after playing the demo a few days, I returned it unopened. Lots of possibilities with that game, though.

there's just nothing tactical about it at all (at least the gold rush game mode). the action is too focused and there aren't enough players. Its just a constant forced bottleneck at the gold crates. I'm gonna keep it and play it, but that's mostly because there's literally nothing else i have desire to play.

I simply can not play a shooter with the console controllers. I'm having a lot of fun with UFC Undisputed right now though.

almost sort of starting to like BC despite the controller issue. The destructible enovironment just adds so much to the gameplay. I actually really have high hopes for BC2 at this point (based on the trailer and what they are saying in interviews)

I still suck at BC (a 1:1 K ratio is a good round for me) but i'm still enjoying it.

Bf2 1.5 Beta 2 Download

The beta for testing the new 1.50 update for Battlefield 2 is now available for everyone who want to help out and test the new patch. It contains a new map, Operation Blue Pearl, along with a number of security updates.

The beta will be running for at least a couple of weeks, to give the developers enough time to gather feedback from the beta testers (and hopefully make changes if that’s needed). Feedback is welcome on the EA forums : http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlef...feed-back.html).

GAMEPLAY TWEAKS

- Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched.

- AA targeting tweaked to make it more effective.

- Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".

- Various changes made to prevent cheating.

- Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model

- Increased the time to go prone after jumping from 0.3 seconds to 0.7 seconds

- Fixed G36E HUD during sprinting to match other weapons.

Trying to find a faster server to download from. There is apparently a Beta 1 and a Beta 2 1.5 patch, and I have no idea what the difference is, so I'm just downloading Beta 2. It clocks in at 1.3 gigs, so I have high expectations from the patch.

I played on the FBG TS server with a few neighborhood guys on Sat night and had a pretty good time. We had 4 of us running in a squad.

Yeah, we played Wake that night anyway. And it was awesome. In before Corp bends and offers to play a round of Wake. Of course, I could post that in 2 years and I would still be in.

The new Battlefield games are the only thing really holding me back from rebuying Battlefield 2. Aside from bitterness of having to rebuy the game and expansions after paying top dollar, and upgrading my machine just to play the game at the time it released.I just figure, what's the point when I know I'm buying the new one anyway. How's the online community, these days? I know a few FBGs still play the game, but my IRL friends have moved on to other games and are spread out. I have to admit that I've been craving some real Battlefield for awhile and BF:Heroes doesn't cover it. Although I can wait out another 3 weeks, which (I believe has been rumored) is BF1943's console launch.

This is where was when I stopped playing in '07. I believe around the 28,000 mark.

Didn't miss much, the maps caused a lot of lag for some dumb reason. Used the zip line a few times which was cool, and of course the ever popular flashbangs that you still see in BF2. Even worse was the Euro pack or whatever it was called.

Just checked on my stats for the first time in a long time, I'm only 2400 points away from 90,000 and Captain. Man I used to play this game a lot.
