Well, you need enough str to avoid getting pancaked. 40 is plenty for that. To get sacks though, you need to be faster and more agile than o-linemen. Agility = acceleration, so that is key. Your goal to shoot for should be 60 agility, 40 speed, 40 strength.Yeah? That depends how many players you want to create. And on whether or not you want to "boost" them. Lots of people haven't spent a dime. Confidence is pretty helpful for defensive players, esp. if the possibility of getting pancaked comes into play. You may also want to train up blocking just because you sunk 5 into Shed Block and that's one of the modifiers the SA checks when it triggers. I'm not 100% on how much vision a DE at your level needs though, might be something worth training up a little bit. Also that seems like an awful lot into SA for not having custom equip now that I think about it though. Then again my level 19 LB has nearly as much into one tree and it helps so... whatever works.
Has it been posted on the site anywhere that skills affect SAs and whether they succeed or is this just speculation? I was wondering whether LB confidence would affect the LB abilities to lower QB moral.Blue-Kun said:

It only makes sense that it would. How can a player with low confidence scare the qb to lower moral? If you read the SAs carefully there are hints by the the way they are worded! Confidence is one of the biggest forgotten pieces of the puzzle for most players.

the lvl 24 equip is 5x the price of the lvl 16. so they would be 62500 ea. for a total of 225k for all 4

Need rock aprox 10 times a game. I am personally not a big believer in giving the FB carries. That is what you have RB's for.

different theology i guess. I would suggest not having a FB on your team, just get a TE and sub him in for a FB. If you dont want a FB who runs the ball thats cool, but understand as the game evolves, the FB will see a grater roll.
