I mentioned this in the SP thread as well, but I have a brand new power HB who just signed on a human-controlled team, and is very low on the depth chart. I have some spare flex points, so if any owner wants a backup (2nd, maybe even 3rd string) power HB, offer a trade for me and I would be willing to spend some flex points to bump him to level 2. Player's name is Harald Bluetooth

Our team is looking good. Very good. But we could use some quality backups at:

WR

OT

LB

You will be behind L5-7s, but we all play hard and rotate in and out a lot to keep everyone fresh and getting playing time.

First ever FBG v FBG matchup Wed, as Detroit takes on Iowa. Get your :lmao: strapped on!
:wolf: I'm ready to go. Also, getting the level up for the whole "special abilities" tree is a nice feature at Level 8. I put mine on blocking.
Does it cost flex points or GLB money?
300 flex points i believe
Yes, 300 flex points. Pretty good deal though, because it levels up all 5 of your special abilities on that tree by 1 point.

Yeah I think its based on purchase price- so QBs, etc will be higher.

So, after a couple of weeks at this, I was wondering what you guys have found that does or does not work?

I can tell you that my HB who I built to be an elusive back has worked out well. he is averaging more than 90 yds a game. I pumped a bunch of points in to speed, agility, stamina and carrying. I didnt put a ton into special abilities and that doesnt seem to have been a detriment.

On the QB side, I think I put too many points into vision and confidence and not enough into strength and throwing. My strength is 19 and my throwing is 32, which arent bad, but I think they need to be higher.

I am kind of lost on the defensive side. I have a DE and a DL. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I would appreciate any help you guys might be able to give.

Here is my DE stats:

Physical Attributes Football Skills

Strength: 23.5 Blocking: 11

Speed: 30.97 Tackling: 18.5

Agility: 23.5 Throwing: 10

Jumping: 11 Catching: 8

Stamina: 20.15 Carrying: 7

Vision: 15 Kicking: 7

Confidence: 16 Punting: 8

Special abilities: 2 in everything in pass rusher except big sack.

My DT:

Physical Attributes Football Skills

Strength: 25.67 Blocking: 10.8

Speed: 22.67 Tackling: 23.67

Agility: 19.67 Throwing: 10

Jumping: 10 Catching: 8

Stamina: 23.59 Carrying: 10

Vision: 10.8 Kicking: 10

Confidence: 10.8 Punting: 7

Special abilities: 1 across the board in run stuffer line.

Do you see anything I went the wrong way with?

Also, in OL I have been focusing on Blocking, Strength and Stamina and minoring in Speed. Now I am reading that Agility might be pretty important too. What have you guys seen? My guys are doing a decent job run blocking and I dont seem to be getting hurried a ton in the passing game.

you need vision (can't tackle the guy if you can't see him)...I'd say your DE needs some tackling, too...my DT:Strength: 26.01 Blocking: 11.2 Speed: 17.9 Tackling: 37.01 Agility: 18.01 Throwing: 8 Jumping: 11 Catching: 8 Stamina: 18.2 Carrying: 9 Vision: 17.74 Kicking: 9 Confidence: 14.2 Punting: 9 with special abilities:2-2-1-1-02-1-1-1-1I could probably use some more vision, too, but he was originally built to be a massive run-stuffer that turned the middle of hte line into a black hole.... (which worked, BTW, I think we've now had 3 straight games under 10 yards rushing)

How do the tackles and hurries stack up between the 2? :goodposting:

Holy crap.... the team that my first player ended up on (which is a horrible team) just played a game. 30 rushes for a total of -9 yards. That is NOT a typo, that is NEGATIVE NINE YARDS RUSHING.

How many sacks does your DE have and about how many snaps is he getting per game?

He has no sacks and is only getting about 35 plays a game.I am thinking he might need more strength. Maybe he is getting pushed around alittle, regardless of how fast he is.

Forgot to mention Milwaukee is giving up 27.4 more passing yards a game. It is not Abe's fault that our passing D (9th in the league despite ALWAYS having the lead) is so good. Compared with Milwaukee....cough....cough....22nd

How are you guys getting leveled up so fast and getting all the attributes?
The most important attribute when you first create a player is stamina. You want to target 25 as a min. In general, you want to make sure you energy is at 100% at game time. Also, setting your game play to relaxed keeps you on the field and gathering experience.

How are you guys getting leveled up so fast and getting all the attributes?
You can spend flex points to level up three times per season. Also, you get XP based on training and the number of plays you're on the field during a game (IIRC). The quickest way to level up is to buy a few hundred flex points and get your three "bonus" levels then spend enough skill points on stamina to ensure that you're in as many plays as possible. I think.Edit: Didn't know that about intensity. I've been set on "Hard" the whole season and getting a few hundred XP per game.

I'm having a similar issue in terms of snaps. I find that the level 3 CPU backup gets similar snaps to my level 6 DE. I've worked on stamina, pumping it up to 26 and change in the hopes that my guy sees more snaps. I think you have the right idea otherwise in putting most of your eggs into speed/agility as far as pass rushing ability goes. That is what I am planning on doing at least now that my stamina has been built up a little. I have 3-1-2-1-2 in pass rusher abilities and like you, 0 sacks.

I am not denying that the Detroit FBG's are a solid squad. I have nothing but respect for my brothers from Michigan. But I will take exception to someone calling out our NT (and owner) and saying that he suxors based on his build.Nuh-uh. Now...Abe, ole buddy, if and when Detroit and Milwaukee play, Dope Hacksaw will be up in your grill.I will remember you calling out my owner. A stack of Capella pancakes for table one please.

  You may be good Abe, but you will be going against 19, 13 and 6 pancakes across the middle of our line.We will settle it all on the field, hopefully.

Looking for a FBG team.

I ended up on a human controlled team. Do I need to be traded or can I be released?
Anyone?I'd much rather be playing on a FBG team.
If you can get him to release you I'd definitely take you on http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=960It's mostly just me (owner) as a FBG at the moment, but I'd gladly take people on. I'd prefer higher level players, as I'd like to dominate our somewhat low league.

WTF!?

detroit footballguys defense really needs to start letting some players slip into the secondary so the safetys can make some plays!!!!!!

Ho-hum, LA Riots with another easy win, this time 31-7.

Otis Scupper, arguably the leagues' MVP, led the way with 138 yards rushing.

Footballguy Farm Team still needs starters -

PM the team owner on that site...he is on time-out here
did he cut a bunch of people???He had more humans on his roster than I did when I checked it yesterday...
When he bought the team it was loaded with humans who had signed with CPU. I think he had multiple backups at every position. But he wants FBG players. In my limited experience with other players they are a pain in the rump.

We need boosted starters on the Dline on this team.

Can I just say that hitting level 8 is awesome.... A whole new slew of toys!

New Special Equipment which essentially adds 10-15 skill points into your 'specials', you add another point to all of your existing equipment.... PLUS the 5 points you get for levelling.

Level 8 players >>>>> level 7!

Plus, the brilliant guys running this thing get you to drop a couple more bucks/player... and you do it happily!
