You in for the Auction if we get it going Cappy? I'm proboably gonna try to pool in w/ a UCONN group if at all possible, but if not wouldn't mind getting in w/ some guys from here if it ends up big enough. If it stays small would just go in on my own, but I think it could get big enough to make forming a "wallet" worthwhile. I'm sure a few of us could put our heads together and find some value.

Did the same thing I did in the mock. Ran my GM rating up quick by bidding on everyone - though I did manage to hold back a bit more than the first time - and then had to torpedo it down to zero.Ended up spending all $100M on 16 players and missed a bunch of bargains in the final 3 waves.
I think it'd be fun. Given the size of this board and auction would have the potential to be an absolute blast. Yes and no. Bid aggressively on the true studs (Vlad, Beltran, Pujols, etc...) but then hang back for awhile.No need to go hard after guys like J.D. Drew, Brian Giles, etc...

GWB - Isn't that your outfield?IWKS - the thing I learned is don't overspend on starting pitching. I got J. Wright and J. Westbrook for 5.0mil per year and I thought that was good, but in later rounds K. Wood went for 3.0/3yrs and Roy Halladay wasn't even taken. Also I spent 3.5 of Guardado, which in retrospect is way too high.
