Yeah, I had a feeling it would normalize the stats somewhat. 478 saves, 3.03 ERA, 8.73 K/9. His ERA+ is phenomenal as well. He's no Billy Wagner, but in the absence of Wags, I'll feel good taking Smith.

I still say those early picked pitchers are wasted if you take those deadballers. I stand by that. For the record, my little test that I ran earlier:Both 2003 Pedro and 1885 Buffinton pitched on the road against all Yankee teams from 1903-1910 and 1996-2003 (I was gonna do all of Yankee history but got bored).1885 Charlie Buffinton had an ERA of 2.88. League ERA in 1885 was 2.82. He also had the benefit of pitching in cavernous Braves Field which you hope the sim would account for.2003 Pedro had a 2.22 ERA. League ERA was 4.71.16 starts against the Yankees:Buffinton: 138 1/3 IP, 150 H, 75 R, 54 ER, 55 B, 103 K, 4 HR, 3.51 ERAPedro: 111 1/3 IP, 87 H, 38 R, 33 ER, 28 BB, 90 K, 3 HR, 2.67 ERAYou can take what you want from that, but Buffinton should have been getting rocked.

I think he lived with Janet and Crissy.
Does the sim take into account outside factors? Like the fact that Ozzie Smith jr made it to Hollywood on American Idol. That's gotta pump up Ozzie a little. First back flips and now this. I wonder if there is a picture I can buy that depicts Ozzie's reaction to his son making it to Hollywood. That would be a huge seller.
