Outhit UCONN 18-8 and still wind up loosing 11-10, damn Pesky error opened up the gates for 4 unearned runs in the 5th. :hot: On a Fing popup!12 Walks from my pitchers! We're going to have to address that in side sessions.Joe D still got the player of the game4/6, 2 Runs, 4 RBI's and a HRGame 2 tomorrow afternoon should be another scrum :boxing:

LOVE the clemente pick. I was praying somehow everyone would get stupid and let him slide... I wanted him more than Griff, but when you face cementing a position (and wow, could Clemente play right), I need a CF to help out back there, overall.Great pick on Clemente.
 Just so we're clear, my OF now consists of Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente, probably the two best fielding outfielders of all-time.And Randy Johnson throwing bullets. You people are ####ed.
:goodposting:lastresort can now speak to this.

To make the filler teams "stronger" without making them the Leftovers, just make sure they've got about 6000 (lousy) at-bats combined and about 1450-1500 (horrendous) IP for the season combined. That will keep their fatigue in check.

My 32-3 dismantling of the Cellar Dwellers ( :bag: ) took a bit out of my team. There weren't copious substitutions, so I'm gonna be a little thin in my next game.
Crud -- I thought the Voodoo beat you legitimately. There is a downside to these 32-3 games ... they wear the winning team down. I noticed this after my first game of the season (18-2).

Dragons, Arks and Lebron get on the board with a win over the Leftovers.
:bag: i got cute, putting in all my backups. :hot: Firpo Marberry, just called up from the all-time AAA.

Whew. Glad to get a win out of that. Your guys came out hammering the ball and never let up. Tris, Ralph, and my best hitter (Mickey Tettleton) in the line-up for game 2. Drysdale looking to bounce back after a rough first start as well.

Also good to see Pumpnicks and the Rabbits beat up on my division. Picked up a game on both Spock and Koya. Taurasi's Troopers 6-1 Lebron Drafter's Abomination 4-3Spock's Team 1-6Arks and Lebron 1-6 :own3d:

This is fine by me--I don't mind players with high AB and IP, so long as they still suck.

OK - got the cap up to 60mil. Added a few decent players and some IP for the pitchers. The is still a VERY BAD team, so I don't think we're in danger of them getting too many wins.

Ok, maybe that won't happen.Followed up this morning's 24-0 win with a 27-2 beatdown.I'm beginning to suspect that King Kelly's All-Stars aren't really All-Stars.

You saw what a rested squad can do. :gang: Although Carl Mays sure made it interesting.. :wall:

Nipsey, is there a form for filing protests? thanks.
I just go directly to John and apparently, they have the hearing at the end of the year. I've protested four games so far so I could be the only undefeated the in league....

Mickey Mantle is hitting .219 for me. The season is young. Plus great hitters are going to be dragged down by great pitchers and great pitchers are going to be roughed up by great hitters. It should all balance out.edited to add gg IWKS. Got some early runs and made them stand up. Game 3 will decide the series. I'm going w/ all my regular starters except Arky (giving him a day off against the lefty plus I've got to spread his and Jackie's days off out cuz I've only got one true MIF back-up).

Hi Mr. Politician Spock,It's funny you say this because I have Ryan in my co-ed league. Guy started slow for me, then I tweaked with his role a bit and inserted him as a starter late in the season and he got better. Try putting him in as a set-up guy for a few games and then reinsert him as a starter. I think you'll be happy with the results.

Nipsey's been having the same problem with some of his pitchers. I've tried to console him over late night tomales, but he doesn't want to hear any excuses and frankly, I don't blame him. When you draft a club like that, you should be rewarded w/ "W's". Looks like he's righted the ship now after a nice 2 run/bottom of the 9th rally led by King Kelly. King Kelly just "get's it" by the way...

Anywho, best of luck with your squad and if you're ever in Guam, I'd love to buy you a lap dance and nachos if you have a free afternoon.

After the first few games, I had some guys with fatigue...now I haven't had any in a few days. Was the fatigue setting adjusted? Or is this normal when playing at home?

Ask John when you have him over for crepes tonight.
