***OFFICIAL*** FFA MLB Draft (3 Viewers)

King Kelly's All Stars have now lost 16 in a row, but just finished a 13 inning marathon against Bullet Joe's that ended 1-0 on this sequence:

Bottom 13: Bullet Joes

Mitch Williams is being pinch hit for by J.D. Drew. J.D. Drew gets walked. [1] Jason Kendall hits a line drive double to CF. Drew scores from first.

Great, thanks to Nipsey I have broken my Lent promise. I'm going to hell.

Larry Boy & Capella
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: It's funny because it's true (not the message, the character interaction).

I think the LOL's push this into contention for best Schtick artwork/visual category.

Page 2...:shrug:All-Star break is a week away. Still roughly 20 games to go, but does anybody else want to vote for All-Stars? I don't think they have any All-Star game festivities at the site (can somebody verify this?).An idea; each owner nominates up to 8 players from his team. Hijacker and even filler nominations welcome. No more than 5 players can make a roster from any one team and each of the 16 original teams must be represented by atleast 1 player. We can all vote and we'll fill out 25 man rosters from each league based on the voting and requirements.

Very cool. I don't have near 8 deserving guys. Will proboably end up nominating 3 or 4. Seeing Clemente suceed in the sim is something I like a lot. One of my all-time favorite people.

 W/ the All-Star stuff if everybody gets nominations in by say Friday I'll get an official balot up over the weekend and we can get the voting done before Wednesday (The All-Star break is after Wednesday night's games on the sim I think). Don't forget that some positions are thinner than others so if you've got somebody that is borderline go ahead and nominate him (up to 8 players). Also don't forget pitchers as they'll be voted on too.

SP Christy Mathewson - 12-1, 115.67 innings, 2.49 ERA, 84 K, .778 WHIP, .233/.353/.419 from the plate with 1 homer, 7 RBIs, and 2 steals...SP Roger Clemens - 9-4, 101 innings, 3.21 ERASP Dwight Gooden - 9-2, 82.67 innings, 2.72 ERA, 83 KRP John Smoltz - 3-0, 22 appearances, 22.67 IP, 1.19 ERA, 20 K (7.94 K/G), 14/15 SavesOF Sam Rice - .317/.381/.413, 10 doubles, 37 steals, 52 runs scoredOF Dave Winfield - .310/.352/.464, 9 doubles, 8 HRs, 51 RBIs, 2 steals, 38 runs scored, 0 errors1B Frank Thomas - .292/.402/.505, 16 doubles, 9 HRs, 52 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 0 errors

are dummy players allowed in said all-star game?

b/c Pick's grandpa sure can hit!
Sure. You can nominate people. The 1 player minimum just won't apply to your team. Thinking about making it a bigger roster to recognize more players.

7 outfielders

9 infielders (2 at each position and an extra...extra could also be a catcher)

2 catchers

12 pitchers

or maybe 6,8,2, and then 2 extra from any position players. 30 just seems like a good number for a total.

That's 30 per league. Should represent some of the guys having great sims well and be a fun conversation piece.

edited to add feel free to update your lists if you missed any guys for the people who've already nominated. no harm in nominating a few extra "border-line" players to spice up the voting and make sure we can fill the rosters.

Cappy (or someone else who can read my posts) - quote that post so the non-Larry readers can at least see my nominations lol...
I read it and they'll be included on the ballot.
k, I was just making sure that if everyone should see them, they could... not sure if it matters or not now... just double checking lol...

Your voting privledges have been denied though LB.
why? lol...so, some guys get 3 votes (*cough*oso*cough*) and I don't get one?

the funniest part of this whole thing si that I still don't have Quantrill and ya'll are still so bitter about it...

some people get really bitter over meaningless online "leagues" ya know that?

You're going back onto official ignore for me after this so I'll answer. Do you remember the petition? That's why you don't get a vote. Each owner will get one ballot (even if they control multiple teams) but can make seperate nominations for each of their teams. Will proboably disallow voting on your own players as well.

and the petition was a off-the-cuff response to something that no one was willing to take a step back and really think about, and you know it... (not that you'll see this)...besides, like I said then, more than half the people who signed the petition would have signed it due to the fact that I am still actually alive.. They didn't need a reason to kick me out, they just convieniently got one...

Hank GreenbergKing KellyJoe MorganJoe JacksonCy YoungI have only two guys really that should be All-Stars, Greenberg and Kelly. Greenberg for sure. Kelly should make it because of who he is.

Larry I have a feeling your players will have a tough time getting elected no matter how good their stats might be. Not saying it's right just what will likely happen.

None of my hitters really deserve an All Star mention. I think I'm hitting .254 collectively or something. The worst of any non-bottom feeder club. Gehrig and Ott have been okay, but not stellar. Larry Doby might be my best hitter. Pitching is another matter. Gary Lavelle has been amazing.. 6 saves and 0 earned runs. Kevin Brown is 10-1 with an ERA just above 2. Kid Nichols has 8 wins in relief.

Cool. I'll sort through all the nominations sometime over the weekend and get a ballot with positions and notable stats. Everybody will be able to vote from Monday to Wednesday. Should be pretty interesting. I'm sure there will be guys that won't make it that'll upset people and guys who will make it that wouldn't have gotten a lot of recognition normally (guys at thin positions who are quietly having great years but aren't exactly in the MVP hunt or all over the league leader boards for example).

I know they have no shot, 'cuz half the team in the league won't vote for them...it'll be funny when both pitching awards go to players that aren't on the All star team, though, because there is a very good chance that will happen... (Mathewson and Smoltz)

I guess it really is schtick as Grimes :own3d: Young for 7 innings.  We both turned it over to our bullpens to blow the game.
I'm tired of this. ####### Eckersley can't save a game. Next league I'm sim fishing and doing what the site says. EVERY TIME Eck comes in with a lead, he blows it. Yet guys like Paul "I'm illegal" Quantrill shut people down at will. Silly.

Nice. Those are the categories I'll use for guys unless told otherwise or in obvious cases (like a guy is leading the league in steals or something). Pitchers will be record and ERA unless told otherwise (or I notice something like K's or CG's sticks out).

It's not like Reardon's any better. I think that's his 8th or 9th blown save.

No offense, but Reardon isn't in the HOF. Reardon wasn't "unhittable" like Eck was for those four years. I can deal with a blown save here and there, but he blows about 4 out of 5 chances. It's ridiculous.

HBP: J. Robinson, R. Kiner

:hot:

Beanball war in game 2.
Biggio is the undisputed master of getting hit (league leader). Finally got pissed about it and had words with Tim Hudson. Hudson then hit another guy and was tossed.

not sure if you can read this... but make sure you look at Gooden's K/9 IP... its CRAZY high... he's up there in the league in Wins and Ks, and no where near in IP... lol
