I offered three perspectives--some more liberal, some not. Zinn's actually quite an interesting thinker. This reminds me of when I was in college and toying with the idea of becoming a teacher and was observing a high school Government glass during a semester break. I was assigned to the head of the Social Studies department and sat in on several of her classes - some of which were AP level - and even graded some papers.One of the assignments was a crossword puzzle. The clue was USSR. The students were obviously going to have to fill in the puzzle with what the abbreviation stood for.
You'll never guess what the HEAD OF THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTEMENT and AP GOVERNMENT TEACHER had as the answer.

Remember a few years back when there was a fight after the state decided to remove the ten commandments from a courthouse down south I think? There was a massive protest and I remember one guy in particular, probably in his 50's or 60's, just bawling his eyes out and screaming, "you can't take the ten commandments away! I really wonder how much a difference Cobb would have made in your line-up especially since Mays has been one of the bigger dissappointments (though I'm sure some of that is stadium related). Cobb would have been on base constantly and probably would be batting close to .400 in the Polo Grounds. I would bet at a minimum it would be switch your home record around.At the time we picked parks, I had no idea it would play that big of a part in the sim. I just love that stadium.I just realized how brutal Caps team is at home.
Quite possibly the worst draft considering the park he was playing in.
