Here's a question...who's played the elast on your team...for me Rizzuto has 2AB and Shantz has 10 IP.

Tony Fernandez only has 68 ab's for me. Jackie Robinson has been pretty solid at 2b and with the race so tight I played him just about every game since the all-star break. I'd guess over 2/3 of those ab's were in the first half of the season. JR Richard has only pitched 22.2 innings for me. He's been good in those innings. My starters have been giving mostly quality outings and he fell under long-relief so he just hasn't seen much action. If we were going through and managing the games I'm sure I'd have got him in more, but didn't really see a reason to make a bunch of crazy adjustments w/ the rotation or settings to make sure it happened so I guess it didn't.

This is true. Most of your top, every-day players are playing 150+ games.

This is true. Most of your top, every-day players are playing 150+ games.

that's just it though..you don't even have to play your bench 10 games if you don't want to.Johnny Bench is going to catch 161 games for me. That's a bit unrealistic.

Going to be some changes this off season #######it!Good luck to UCONN and Spock as they battle this one out over the last two games. Unless I get very lucky, I have a roster full of mostly dead guys about to hit the links, and not the playoffs.

Yeah. I decided I'd play them all a realistic amount anyway but can see where some didn't. Set up a platoon at 3 spots (including catcher) and tried to atleast work everybody else in (especially against the dummy teams...many times my top players would take the entire series off against Rude Dude's team).

Don Mattingly 63 ABs, Sisler was a workhorse and played just about every game at 1BDoug Jones 31.2 innings, after a rough start I moved him to setup B and he was hardly used. Just recently moved him back to closer.

Mickey Mantle has 46 hr's and 168 RBI's. If he's have hit during the first half of the year we'd have about 10 more wins. We've gone as Mickey's gone.

I must say this draft and Sim have done a lot to boost my baseball history knowledge, I'm real happy I was involved.If nothing else my squad has the "real Life" lead in hitting streaks between Sisler(40+), Joe D(56) and Molitor(upper 30's).I would be all over Joe D in round one of a second draft, he is awsome.

Yeah but I think it might be a third season issue(3rd was one of the few he had double digit errors in his career). I would probably move him to left field as opposed to Center that should aleviate some of the defensive issues. He has been a monster at the plate.

I must say though, a loss to Lebron a month ago wouldnt have hurt so much. We did have a hell of a division. Whether it is you or Spock that carries it on, I'm pulling for our division in the playoffs. Best thing is that we made it competitive to the end.

I don't think that would work since you have several new owners who didn't have a previous team. What about an era requirement? You have to take two players from each decade or something?

I like it. I think my first 6 or 7 picks (and know my first 5) all ended up representing a different decade and I liked that a lot. It's just more fun to imagine a team that way than to just go to all guys from the turn of the century or all Frank Thomas type guys.

After Lebron that basketball draft was doomed. Ferris was only one of many casualties to that disaster.

Getting rid of our 3 biggest cheaters (LB, Koya, and Cappy) should atleast be a good start.

I would very much appreciate Ferris's contributions to the follow-up MLB draft -- most especially if he is a participant.I, too, like his idea for picking players from across all eras.

I have a compromise position -- how about selecting only HOF-eligible players (those retired after the 1999 season or earlier). That makes the active cut-off an even 2000 -- if they played in 2000, they aren't eligible.

It ended up that very few of these were used. The killer was the 1900-1920 pitchers (see Irish Cowboys).
