I placed a wager last night on Black Panther to win best sound editing at +700. 

They are going to give this movie at least a couple oscars. This seemed like the best shot at it. 

Also took a star is born for best pic at +1600.

Yalitza Aparicio for best actress at +3300

Yesterday was kind of a beautiful day. I actually still lost money on the day, but I cant believe the lucky wins I ended up with. Is there a term for opposite of a bad beat?

The nets somehow covering in 3OT was amazing. 

UCLA somehow covered in OT and bryce wills nailed two free throws with :01 left for stanford to cover. 

I am sure I am on the good side of those much more often than I can recall as we always remember the bad, but it certainly has felt lately like I am on the bad side of it a lot more often. To have three in one day is just awesome. I just wish I actually would have paid more attention to the UCLA game. I gave up when Cal went ahead 59-55 with two minutes left in regulation.

Baylor is 29th and tech is 87th.

Tech is great on defense but Baylor is ranked 42nd via kenpom, so no slouches. Tech could definitely have a low scoring day. 

I am sure the fact that tech just exploded last game is swaying me to think letdown.

All that said. Baylor will now lose by 21 and you guys are welcome for that since, I suck at college basketball this year.

I've never bet on a Nascar race. I haven't bet anything in a few yrs. But I enjoy reading this thread

Just to satisfy my curiosity, and I'm always trying to learn ...in a race like this today as you said a total crapshoot, wouldn't it be better to bet on alot of (or at least some) dogs?

I don't disagree with playing dogs, but there really aren't many in this race. +135 is about as high as I'm seeing.  I'm banking on Fords continuing to be stronger than the Chevy & Toyota in this race and just spreading my $ around both in who I'm backing & fading.  The crapshoot does however open up the range of potential winners so I do have a bit on some longshots, but those odds are gone so I didn't post them.  Well, Newman +5000 is still out there.

Now for my first treat. Actual thoughtful analysis on Cejudo/Dillashaw because it seems like my lens of perspective is completely different than most of my peers. First off, Dillashaw lined around -220 would make perfect sense if this fight was at 135 lbs, but it isn't.

They're both super happy right now. Wicca broke off a fat chuck for herself on Friday, and then Booty broke two off last night. Last night I made her dinner from scratch - quail, coleslaw and quinoa. It was nuts. Marinated four whole quail in a freshly-squeezed lime juice/mesquite-infused olive oil marinade that I made from scratch. Then cooked them in a 500° oven for 20 minutes. Got a little bit smoky, but nothing that lingered. The quinoa was tricolored. And the coleslaw was fresh, too. With added cranberries and walnuts. I'm a freakin' culinary genius right now. May I get foods that start with the letter Q for 100 please, Alex?
